The Pour House at the New Hope Winery
Food was good although the menu was very limited. Very casual laid-back atmosphere. The New Hope wine was very good.
We wanted to go someplace else but could not get res time we wanted. My wife found the Pour House and it was a great choice. Sandwiches were great. Wine was very good and beer was cold out of the tap and was not flat. Nice people, excellent service, well behaved customers and overall the kind of place you enjoy going to, especially after this Covid problem. A comfortable place to chill and enjoy some food and drinks. Overall ambience was tasteful and well done. Would recommend to anyone for lunch or dinner.
We went out on Saturday night to celebrate Valentine’s Day. The food was absolutely fabulous, and we got to sit by the fireplace, and it was a nice surprise that there was a singer playing on the keyboard. Great food, great atmosphere and a perfect night
I went on Valentine's weekend. I don't know if they have a normal menu for dinner. But they had a valentine special filet mignon or salmon. The meal was priced fairly. The salad an appetizer we're overpriced. Drinks were about normal. Overall food was good. Has a good ambience. Service was good. Had a singer there that night who is good. Worth a try.
Great Valentine dinner date. The food was amazing as was the service. New Hope Winery is awesome!
Our first time at the New Hope Winery. As many times as we have gone by here our experience was so enjoyable. We loved the rustic look of the restaurant area As local residents we did not even know about the shows that they hold. Just assumed a wine tasting as we saw parking lot packed on so many occasions. We had a great dinner with great service and then proceeded down stairs to see Kashmir a Led Zeppelin Tribute which was just as much fun. We will definitely be back whether just for dinner or dinner and a show!
Place was awesome! Food , Service was excellent. The music they had that day was really good! They were very enjoyable, great song selection, not too loud so you could still talk and enjoy them. Please have them back again!!
Would not recommend. Food was terrible, out of tapped beer, not serving wine flights and service terrible.
Loved our recent visit!
Very nice! Good food, ambience and music. We will be back! Loved the mulled wine.
Even given the pandemic time we’re living in, and the given reduction of expectations when dining out it’s hard giving this place more than 1 star in the food department. Being a winery, and detailed food options the dining experience is disappointing. Salmon was overcooked, asparagus and squash were out of a can (yes jolly the green giant), sandwiches were drenched in sauces, salads were wilted, and the food was under par. I hope they improve there food options, or don’t serve food at all but I will not be returning or recommending them to anyone.
Á shame it’s a lovely venue and great location.
We arrived a little earlier than our reservations and were promptly seated. There were not many other diners when we arrived but it seemed to get busier as the time passed. The food was good, our waitress was excellent and we enjoyed ourselves. Due to Covid there was a limited Menu but what was offered should satisfy most diners. We will go back and dine again!
Outstanding, attentive service by Kayla. Our first time here, we will be back.
First time we were out for dinner during pandemic. Tables were spread apart, good distancing. Not too busy and wait staff appeared to be following all protocols accordingly. Food was great- we had the cheese board, which was huge, and the specials. Fall cocktails were nice too.
The food at The Pour House was excellent as well as our waitress, she was very attentive and fast with service. We will be returning when we are in that area again.
Loved the charcuterie board! Nice size, would have prefered olives instead of grapes though. The brisket sandwich was really good too.
It was a birthday lunch. Apps came out with food for our party so there was food wasted. Waitresses also had to service the bar area and that took them away from tending to us.
We had a delicious dinner on a slab of tree for a table... waitress was very accommodating... will be back
Sitting outside in a fall day was lovely although the food and drinks were mediocre. I didn’t even finish my drink it was so strong.
We love this place. Food is great and the people there are so friendly. We try to get there several times a month. Can’t wait until our next visit.
Everything was great. We will be back! Enjoyed the show too
Great dinner before a fantastic show ! Can’t wait to go back!
Very limited menu. Got there at 6:30 and had to be at the show next door at the New Hope Winery for an 8:00p show. Our orders weren't taken until 7:00p. At 7:45 we left without eating. Incredibly poor service. Won't ever go back.
Thank you so much for giving us feedback, the issue we had that evening was that your entire party hadn't arrived together on time so yes, dinner orders were not placed until 7pm which we had informed you there may be a problem getting you to the show on time. I am incredibly sorry about the miscommunication, but as we were short-handed that evening (flu season) and doing our best to provide our regular standard of service, we did not charge for your appetizers and drinks to compensate.
The food was great and the server was awesome. We had a bottle of the NHW cab and it was fantastic.
Food was very good and staff was appropriately friendly and courteous. Prices are right for my wallet. I have been there several times, never disappointed.
Autumn squash soup was very good.
We arrived on a treacherous snowy and sleeting night and were grateful for the warm welcome and cavernous atmosphere. Our server couldn’t have been nicer and professional. It’s just that while the menu had appeal, the quality of the food was generally lacking.
My husband and I both had the butternut squash soup which looked good but was cloyingly sweet. I had the roasted salmon with rice medley and butternut squash. But the portion of rice was almost an afterthought, scattered under my salmon, and the butternut squash was just a few cubes mixed into the rice. So much for getting my veggies. The salmon was prepared well but doused in a sweet sauce that drowned the dish.
I did try their saffron ice cream for dessert and it was truly something special.
We enjoyed the convenience of being at the Winery’s venue for a concert after dinner, especially on such a bad weather night, so would I go again? Probably. It wasn’t all bad. Just don’t arrive with high culinary expectations.
Thank you for your feedback! I am surprised to hear you did not entirely enjoy your food. We do in fact have high culinary expectations here as our chef has won awards and studied at the Culinary Institute. The butternut squash soup may not be for everyone as it is simmered in apple cider, creating that sweet flavor. As for the salmon, it is finished with a maple-citrus reduction noted on the menu. However, with that being said, I will absolutely give this feedback to our chef. Thank you again
Cocktails, apps, mains and dessert options were great. Our meals were tasty and nicely prepared. If you go before a show, allow 1 1/2 hours.
Cozy place with excellent food. The staff was friendly and engaging. Service was excellent. Would definitely return again.
I think this place is a hidden gem! The service was excellent and the food was very good. I went with a friend with the idea of trying something different and we both enjoyed the quirky decor, the good food and excellent service. I will be going back soon!
Great menu selection with reasonable pricing
Attentive and friendly waitstaff
Understanding and accommodating of food allergies
Filet mignon special was tender and delicious! Fresh green beans and mashed potatoes were the side dishes. We liked the winery's riesling and the desserts -- lemon pound cake and pineapple upside down cake.
After dinner, we enjoyed the live music -- a local jazz quartet which played holiday and original pieces. The venue was full and the audience was very enthusiastic. We had a great time!
Great place! Loved the log cabin feel! Food was delicious & wine was great too!
Smallish space, our table was not private at all food was good, decent not large portions. server was fantastic. Very convenient when seeing a show at the theater. Plenty of on site parking
There were ants (and an ant trap) all over our table and the wall by our table. An hour after placing our order, when we asked where our food was, we were told there was a “printer error” and our food was coming. We were then served an almost completely raw piece of salmon.
Although our waitress brought us each a free glass of wine to make up for the delay in our meal, it was a hopelessly below average experience. We had to ask for our change, etc etc etc.
We enjoyed our show at the attached venue, but would never consider dining there again.
I am absolutely mortified by your experience and this is the first I am hearing of this! I tried looking for the table you were speaking of with ant traps, however I could not find it. We take cleanliness to an extreme here and while we clean daily we also deep clean the entire restaurant weekly. I also was not aware that your food took so long to arrive as that is not an ordinary occurrence. Would you please email me at info@newhopewinerycom so I could send a certificate? My sincerest apologies
The winery salad was mixed greens, nuts, & grapes in a nice sized portion. The shrimp special was great ! Generous sized Shrimp along with being nicely spiced with saffron.
Loved having dinner at New Hope Winery before attending a concert there. We will go back again!
The Pour House is our favorite place to eat by far. Chef Larry always makes the most amazing meals. You will never get fried food or run of the mill dishes. . The people are so friendly and go out of their way to make everything perfect. Can’t wait to go back!
Great time ........will be back.... food was amazing 👍
The food was very good, Prices were outragious!
Selling at best a $9.00 bottle of wine for $40.
Entrees, for what it is, way overpriced.
At the concert, selling Voss water for $5.00 and that's your only option.
I felt taken advantage of, There is no reason for that.
I understand your frustration, however, I must humbly disagree with you. There is not a single bottle of wine here that would go for $9 as they are hand selected for their quality. Yes, there are a three bottles of wine for$40, but there are 12 others well below to give everyone variety. Voss is our water selection for concerts (priced at $4), but there are also sodas for $2. All our food is homemade, comes from local suppliers, the portion sizes are large enough to share and priced accordingly.
