   Always an amazing experience at the beautiful grounds. Food and services was exceptional today.

   Came here with my Girlfriend for our 6 month anniversary. The atmosphere is was amazing, very calming vibe with all the plants and lighting around and the decor was really cool. It was a little cold but luckily they have ceiling mounted heaters throughout the place so we were comfortable the whole night. We got the romantic table setting which came with a rose and a lit candle which was very beautiful and special. The food was good and drinks were yum, quite expensive but you’re also kinda paying for the experience in that pricing. My one gripe was with the table placement. We were seated almost right at the entrance of the ‘potters corner’ which had people coming in and out all the time so we felt a little exposed, although we managed to scoot the table over a little which helped. We also had plants basically right in our face, but we didn’t mind it, it kinda added to the vibe. After dinner we went out into the Laneway which was set up with a Snow White theme, and man, the Grounds laneways are always so spectacular. We had a little photoshoot to end the night. So overall the vibe was amazing and special and I couldn’t have imagined a better 6 month celebration with my beautiful girlfriend.

   Food was good. The seating was very packed and limited room for movement. Noise was loud and a little overwhelming for my baby. Came for the Snow White displays but was difficult to take photos with large groups of people walking through and very cramped area. Found the displays were okay but more thought could have gone into the displays. Lady walking around as a reindeer was a cool idea!

   Here is what we love: - The setting is lovely - Our kids love the decorated laneways - The chips were excellent and the aioli was great - The schnitzel steak was excellent and so too was the accompanying sauce - Sitting near Fluffy - Thank you for turning down the overhead heaters that were burning the side of my head Here is what could be improved: - The Poison Apple special dessert. What to say? I can hear the Masterchef judges saying it is visually spectacular, 10 out of 10 for presentation. It is certainly very impressive. But the flavour lets it down. The apple itself was very pleasant, but the accompanying earth, soil and moss components were bland and lacked any distinct flavour. The chocolate shards were good but would have preferred milk chocolate. The honeycomb was nice. Everything else, which made up the bulk of the plate was pretty flavourless. Could have done with a raspberry or passionfruit coulis to sharpen it up. Or just something else. Perhaps a caramel would have gone well with the apple flavour. - The salad with the schnitzel steak was not appealing. Just some lettuce hearts plonked on a plate with some radish garnish and a not particularly nice dressing. You could definitely do better. - We needed to get going but after serving our food, our table server kind of disappeared. We found him at one stage and asked for the bill, which seems to have been forgotten for another 15-20 minutes. Concerning for us, as we still had to drive home to Newcastle. It was past my daughter's bedtime and we had had a big day, so I was becoming tired. Would have been nice, once finished, to quickly collect the bill and get out of there. - We were disappointed that you denied my daughters request to keep the teddy bear drink jog. OK fair enough it was an unusual request, and why should you? They might be difficult to find. But we still felt it was a little mean spirited. - There was a lot of ice taking up my virgin mojito, so I didn't actually get very much to drink.

We also really value your constructive feedback. I am sorry there were delays in service and certain dishes were disappointing. All of your feedback has been forwarded onto the kitchen and the floor team. As for the teddy bear glass, we are sorry it came across as meanspirited. We do have to retain those items for future service, so all of our guests can enjoy the glassware, but we’ll consider ways to make that interaction a little more gentle in the future.    Such lovley staff, food has never been great here, used to take clients a lot as the place is so lovley and alway the staff are amazing. But they are still sending out hamburgers on a shovel. No idea who would have come out with this thought process. Steak was not great quality and very tough. The pate was super delicious, my hamburgers, they kindly put on a plate instead of a shovel for me was ok. Chips cold. Grandchild at my burger, her kids burger was over cooked and dry. I'll always go back as the place is way to pretty not to show people.

   Very contrived, fussy style, extremely noisy ambience. Food was OK, nothing to rave about. Service staff pleasant & helpful but were clearing plates & drinking glasses far too early - much more training needed. Overall it wasn’t a relaxing experience. I’d compare it to going to an RSL or social club; or one of those giant cruising ships. I doubt that I will be returning. The venue was chosen by another member of our dining party on the recommendation of a friend.

   The Italian board had a delicious assortment of food that was very filling for 3 people. Would highly recommend it. The potting shed was a lovely very cozy and warm atmosphere to eat in that wasn't too noisy.

   We had the oysters, pasta and chocolate cherries. Everything tasted amazing The staff were so lovely and the setting was beautiful.
