   We were made very welcome by very freindly staff ! Food was delicious, excellent service . A great experience all round .

   We have been to The Potted Lobster in Bamburgh many times, so when it came to booking a holiday in Wales, Abersoch was the obvious choice, as it has a Potted Lobster! We booked for our last night, as a special treat. The restaurant and outdoor area are welcoming and beautifully decorated, and the team (I think the manager) gave us a warm welcome. Our table wasn't quite ready, so we were invited to sit at the bar for a drink (small point, the stools are not tall enough for the bar - or the bar is too tall for the stools!). We tried the local Abersoch gin which was delicious. Once seated, we ordered two oysters which were huge and delicious. We then had the prawn taco (our server Erin advised that one would be enough as a starter, and she was right!) and the crevettes. For our mains we had the blackened cod, and the tuna. Initially the tuna dish looked a little underwhelming, but it was quickly whipped back to the kitchen to be finished (it had been brought out a little early!). This was no problem and well worth it, as the dish was stunning. We just about had room for a pud, so enjoyed chocolate orange torte (with a glass of port) and white chocolate & raspberry parfait. Everything was delicious, as expected, and our server, Erin, was just lovely - so smiley and helpful. We had a fantastic week in Abersoch and this meal was the cherry on the cake - we will definitely be back!

   Compared to previous visits we were quite disappointed overall, the staff weren’t very friendly or helpful, and the size of the lobsters was borderline legal.

   Weren't shown special menu until desserts! I was pleased to see gluten free menu choices. Alot of show bringing out my food separately from.dining partner, but no communication. Glasses cleared before wine finished and when asked to be able yo.finish it ,it was onked down. Errors happen but no apology ( that's all needed) Waiting staff uncommunicative . Same happened desert plate just taken , again not fully finished but no check Bilil brought without request. By same staff member Something not going right tonight if other reviews are to recognised .

    We absolutely love Potted Lobster, it is such a great place to visit when at Abersoch however on the last two occasions the food has taken such a long time to reach us we are not sure we will return for food again. The waiter service is great and this is nothing against the front of house team, on both occasions they have been very apologetic but we just waited far too long for the food to reach the table. We will definitely be back for sunny drinks outside but won’t be ordering food any time soon.
