Excellent food as usual. Server was very good but it was a while before she took our order and I understand that it was busy it’s not a complaint!

The food was outstanding but we were quite put off by a waiter who kept reminding us we didn’t have our table for much longer. He gave a dessert menu and said if we didn’t order within the next minute we wouldn’t have time for one. We then asked for some hot water in a bowl for our 9 month olds food and it never came, we had to ask a further two times for it to come. The food was outstanding it’s just a shame that the constant reminders of our table time left us unable to relax.

This was the first time we’d managed to get a table at the restaurant because we were in Abersoch outside of school holidays for a change- it’s always fully booked. The food was great- fresh lobster and garlic mayonnaise was delicious. My husband had the steak- he’s not really a fish person. We opted for the charcuterie sharing platter instead of a starter- the mozzarella cheese was amazing and the focaccia bread was a welcome change to the hard crusty offerings you often get with this kind of dish. Only complaint was that we were sat in a booth just outside the kitchen doors and toilets. A lot of “traffic “ through this area. The seats were a little uncomfortable for my liking and the table legs made getting in and out or sitting with crossed legs rather awkward.

The Potted Lobster was a beautiful restaurant , the food was good but not outstanding . Service was good and the general atmosphere was of a good thriving restaurant. Attention to detail needed on main meals but overall the standard was good .

Lovely restaurant with a great choice on the menu. I had the Welsh Fillet Tataki and Baked Black Cod. All were superbly cooked and presented. The staff were all super friendly and really attentive. We'll definitely be back.

This was our first time at The Potted Lobster and it was fabulous! The food was another level, in particular the oysters and octopus, which were the best I have ever eaten. My friend has a nut allergy and so much care was applied by the manager so thank you and we will be back!! It's pretty pricey but you get what you pay for and I would highly recommend visiting for a treat :)

A enjoyable but underwhelming meal, good service and well prepared food, uninspiring menu with only one special on offer. No compassion to their sister restaurant in Bamburgh which offers a far more superior dining experience.
