Everything was so good. we enjoyed browsing around and looking at all you offer. But, best of all was the food!! We will be back.
Since The Potpourri House is now only a lunch and special events venue, I was there for lunch this time. We had excellent service. The Strawberry House Salad is delicious. The menu offers a nice variety unless you are vegetarian. Pimento cheese and Salad Bar about the only choices for those who cannot eat meat. In past visits, I have always enjoyed the great Salad Bar, but decided on a pimento cheese sandwich this time. Everything was very fresh. The boutique in the front of the restaurant is always fun to browse through, as well.
Always great service and food We love to take out of town guests when they visit
Our experience was wonderful. I had made reservations online since we were driving from Denton, Tx and we were seated right away.
Always a wonderful experience at Potpourri House.
The service was quick and the food wonderful. No cpmplaints
We had a great meal and business meeting. We are already making plans to return!!
The food was delicious and made the family birthday celebration a great memory!
Love the salad bar. Great place to meet friends for lunch and shop afterwards!
I did not enjoy my meal. I guess I just ordered the wrong thing. However, I will give it another try.
The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing. The chicken salad sandwich and their signature spinach salad were outstanding! Get selection for family and friends!
Nice little place. Food was good. Price also good.
I met a high school friend that I only see occasionally for lunch since we don't live in the same town anymore. It is a lovely restaurant with a good selection of foods. Everything we enjoyed was fresh and tasty. We will definitely consider Potpourri House again.
Wanted to take my friend to a good place to eat in Tyler for her birthday. I wanted a quiet place and it was very quiet for a Sat night. The service was great - Cliff was wonderful. The food very good . Loved the strawberry salad and rib eye steak and the birthday cake -coconut royal - very delish. Want to come back for lunch when I am back in town.
Our waiter was on top of his game, tea glass never got too low, food was hot and fresh, presentation was very nice.
Food was very good, the egg roll appetizers were excellent.
We will return to this place.
Also there was some awesome looking candy but we were too full to try any. May stop just for desert one day.
Out of 9 needy ladies and one gentleman we can not find one thing to complain about. A couple in our group ordered the salad bar which is always my first choice.(The house dressing is to die for) One of our girls had a french dip that smelled wonderful, I had the Potpourri House Sandwich that you can never go wrong with. The gentleman in our group had the Special of the day which was a chicken dish that had my mouth watering for a bite. Since it was a business meal i kept my fork to myself..
Bella did a great job being our server I think she overheard us talking about why we were there ( bosses going away lunch) and she brought out a slice of cake!!! OMG. I wish I would have had desert first.
Love, love the Potpourri House! The hot spice tea is delicious and the refills are my sweet sin. The strawberry salad is also delicious (& sweet too). I like everything I've eaten. And the shopping, ...Oh my!!!
Our waiter was one of the best Ive seen in a long time. Very attentive and went out of his way to make sure our dinner experience was delightful. My wife and I eat plant based and want to make sure we eat as healthy as possible. Our waiter catered to every need
We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived to see they have a nice retail boutique in the front of the restaurant. Lot's of neat stuff to browse through. We had the salad, soup, and potato bar and really enjoyed it. The prepared salads were fresh and tasty. The homemade pimento cheese was very good. The soups were also very tasty. I'd go back anytime. It's a good meal at a good price.
Large portions. Everything we ordered was very good...Italian meatballs and pasta, French Dip, and Club sandwich.
Alittle bit different than I expected. Restaurant is tucked back in building with cute specialty shops. Had roasted pork shank that was outstanding. Good prices, a little old in decor but more relaxing than the chain restaurants located in immediate area
Their strawberry salad is awesome.
When I have house guests, I often bring them to Potpourri House on a Saturday night for the fun music of Bobby and Ken. This time, we had the best server we've ever had there. Joe is very knowledgeable and friendly. He was attentive but not overbearing.
I always have the salad bar because there are not a lot of healthy choices or meat-free choices on the menu. On this visit, one friend had the chicken fried steak, and one had chicken fried chicken. Both were good. Wine prices are good.
I returned to The Potpourri House this time just one week after giving them a pretty mediocre review (here and on Yelp) just to hear Bobby and Ken, who perform on Saturday evenings. Had the same server, and am happy to say she did a much better job this time. My friend and I both had the salad bar, which is OK, but nothing spectacular. He was thrilled with the shrimp on the salad bar, but disappointed in the soup, with which I concur. I will continue to visit The Potpourri House because I enjoy the live music.
I am new to Tyler, and enjoy live music while I dine. Thought I'd try this place out, so I went on a Saturday evening for the food/music experience. Local entertainment magazine and website said music was from 6-9, but it is actually from 6:30-8:30. Restaurant should update media. Bobby and Ken are a great group playing lots of oldie music. Sound level is perfect for venue.
Unfortunately, food and service were not as good as music. Salad bar was just OK. Friend's order was incorrect, so she erroneously ended up with seafood platter. Fish was fair, but shrimp were small and over-fried. Requests for fresh tea and silverware were forgotten.
I'd like to go back for music, but not sure if all food is as mediocre as what we experienced. Will try to sit in a different server's section.
We got to shop and eat in the same place... who could have asked for more! The Chicken Salads were amazing.
Sweet place. Enjoyed the strawberry salad and the trio of pimento cheese, tuna and chicken salads.
Fantastic menu! A fresh salmon salad, with a warm corn chowder made my meal complete.
