   We dined at this historic hotel restaurant for my birthday, but unfortunately, the experience did not meet expectations, largely due to poor management rather than the server herself. From the start, no one offered to take my coat, so my husband had to hang it up himself. The waitress communicated minimally, often responding with short words or nods. When we ordered dinner—a whole fish for my husband and half chicken for me—no side dishes were suggested, and nothing came with the meals. We had to request mashed potatoes and lemon. Initially, a server brought just two small lemon slices on a paper napkin. Only after asking again did someone bring a proper plate with more lemon. Despite noting in our reservation that it was a birthday celebration, the server only acknowledged it after my husband reminded her when she asked about dessert. She brought two dessert spoons—one awkwardly placed in the middle of the table and the other on an empty seat—followed by a vanilla pudding with a candle. When we asked for plates, she explained it “doesn’t come with a plate,” but eventually brought two when requested. Finally, the bill included both a service charge and a gratuity charge. We chose to pay only the service charge which was included in our bill already.

   We were delighted with the food, service, and music was lovely in the background (not too loud for conversation) . Not only was every dish we ordered perfectly prepared and delicious, service was extraordinary. Tessa, our server, made the whole experience one to remember! Highly recommended !

   Service was iffy...wrong order brought, food brought to table at different times, but the staff tried. Overall the food was good.

   From the front door, Leif offered a warm welcome and touch of class on our way to The Post Room. The dining room and bar is intimate, cozy and lovely. For the menu I would have appreciated a more versatile vegan/vegetarian fare, but other than that we enjoyed friendly service with a sophisticated ambience.

   There were 4 of us dining at the restaurant during San Francisco restaurant week. The cocktails and food were delish. One of us wanted to switch out one of the entree and the y were so flexible about the menu. What made our dining experience very pleasant was the impeccable service from beginning to end. We will definitely come back.

   I had a great experience from the fixed menu restaurant wee My girlfriend enjoyed the caviar and octopus and I myself. The cheese plate and main course steak dinner. The portion of the steak was a bit, it's small butt. Overall, a really good food experience will definitely come again Also, the ahi tuna ceviche, the cocktail drink.My girlfriend also said your drinks are superb

    Order was wrong. Metal staple in my blue cheese olive which ended up in my mouth. They fixed the issue by giving me a $40 discount on a close to $400 bill. Food was sub par at most and the server messed up our order.
