The POH has a long-standing reputation for being a great neighbourhood pub with fantastic food & a friendly atmosphere. The modern Australian menu features a range of dishes to suit the season, as well as all the classic pub favourites. There’s an extensive wine list to explore & multiple rotating taps to try.

From June 1st, we're taking bookings in the front bar, pub dining rooms & beer garden. Our restaurant, the Dining Hall, will remain closed for the time being. We are currently only accepting bookings. Sorry, no walk-ins for now. We offer 2 sittings for lunch & 2 for dinner. Each sitting goes for 2 hours & a meal must be served with alcohol. Each dining space has a maximum capacity that must be adhered to. As per government regulations, we are unable to provide bar service.

It might be a bit different from the pub experience you remember pre-covid, but it’s a start and will only get better from here!

Although when booking we were under the assumption that we would be in the restaurant area with table service. This was in the normal dining area. As this was for a family member's b'day, we probably would have gone elsewhere. Once we arrived it was explained that we didn't have to stay but as we were a party of 7 with a baby, it would have been inconvenient to go somewhere else.

Unfortunately the problem was that when I booked the staff didn’t mention that it wouldn’t be table service so when we arrived with a large party we were seated in the usual way and needed to rearrange tables ourselves. Not ideal. But the staff regrouped and proved to be attentive after that. So we ended up having an enjoyable time.

Forced into lounge eating as main dining was closed. Limited choices on menu but pleasant enough without being superb. Noisy environment. It's my local pub so I will be back

Hi, thank you for asking. We loved the hotel itself and we live nearby so we want to love it. Our criticism is only of the food, my gluten free base pizza was fabulous but the topping was boring. Vegan cheese not melted and overall good quality but tasteless. My husbands steak was just average, and no pepper sauce on the menu. Again, thank you for theopportunity for feedback. Jo McMullen

Great quick meal on the way out for Crissy function. Introduced new diners who reckon they'll be back again. Tasty selection of casual food options which were served in a timely and friendly manner.

Great food, attentive and friendly staff. Good wine and beer selection. Feels and looks a bit upmarket dining, but sounds like a beer hall....yes I know its a pub, but high ceiling acoustics meant we had to yell most of the time even in a separate booth, and it wasn't even that busy really. Some people like that maybe? but I'd go heaps more if the sound was warmer. cheers though!

Great food. Great atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Menu is quite extensive. Well priced too. A little inner Northern suburb gem.

Service made the night - totally faultless ! Friendly, warm helpful and efficient. Food was good, slightly fancy pub grub, tasty and hit the spot.
