   Chicken and waffle- don’t know how they made it all work….cherry chutney….sunflower seed butter….green chili style gravy…syrup….seems like such an unlikely combination of flavors….but they did it and it’s superb!!!

   We’d heard such good things about this restaurant so decided to visit on our last day on holiday. Overall impression was of a lovely building with fab views - server was a lovely friendly chap, bit skies bringing my sister’s drink, but e weren’t too fussed. We both ordered the chicken tenders and fries and this is where it went wrong for us. The chicken was covered by a very thick, hard coating, which took some effort to get through. The taste was odd, too, a bit like aniseed, which neither of us like. It was also very dry which made it an effort to eat. Interestingly an older couple there were asking for advice on what to order and stated, very clearly, that they didn’t want the tenders because they hadn’t liked them before. They need to rethink the tenders…

   Always enjoyed the food and drinks. But hate having to pay parking fee because of the Stanley Hotel. That keeps me from going there for a nightly drink while I’m in Estes Park. FYI make the fry’s crispy. 😁

   The first waiter was great, than we got another one that couldn’t help or talk to us. Took forever to pay the tab. Don’t bring the $100 credit voucher there.. absolutely painful.

   Attached to Stanley Hotel. Decent beer menu - what they had available was very good. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Get the half bird dinner plate & cheddar biscuits - you’ll want to enjoy the leftovers.

   This is some of the best fried chicken you will eat. We enjoyed all 3 sides we had - green chili Mac and cheese, waffles and greens. Dessert was delish as well.

   The food here is subpar. I am not sure if they change the recipe for the chicken, but the breading is not crispy and cake like so too kick flour. Considering it is a chicken place this is not good. We had the tenders and the sandwich multiple Times now and are disappointed we will not be planning to go back anytime soon

    We reserved a table. They sat us in a room with one other table. Booths were open, but we passed by them when seated. The fried chicken had little flavor and was over done. Not a place I would recommend.

    Overpriced for what received. Asked waiter if cole slaw had sugar. He responded he didn’t know but would check with the kitchen. It did so I ordered the collard greens. It was sweetened as well. It did have a great flavor but if you’re ordering veggies it’s to be healthy. The chicken fingers were too salty. All service staff were very friendly. Good views of the mountains from the booths.

    We had a great experience and our server was awesome! She said it was her 2nd shift and definitely helped us with our drinks and our order. It was seamless. Our table enjoyed the big love board and it was delicious! The biscuits are amazing and the sides you must get are the green chili Mac & cheese, collard greens and more biscuits! Definitely will come back! We forgot to use our parking coin to get $5 back. So you’ll see us again POST! Chicken, elk sausage and ribs were so good! Oops I forgot to mention the deviled eggs!!     We went to the Post in Estes Park because we live there and received an email advertising the Easter Brunch. This location is the only location we've dined at and paid for (have been to Longmont, but my son paid for that meal - he lives there). We were disappointed that the Easter Brunch menu in the email did not include the location in Estes Park. We had to use the regular brunch menu instead of what was shown on the email. We were a bit sad about that. In addition, the prices for the unlimited mimosas were not posted, so we assumed the bottomless drink would be in the $19 - $20 range. They were $35 each for unlimited mimosas. I mean my husband can drink, but he didn't drink $35 dollars worth! Way too expensive for cheap champagne and weak drinks. Next time make sure your reader understands the Easter Brunch menu does not translate to all restaurants - in bigger font and at the top along with the cost of the bottomless drinks.

    We went for brunch on Sunday. Out of the two dishes that we ordered the food was just ok, the chicken was dry. The only thing that really stood out were the house potatoes… they were excellent! The staff were very friendly and attentive.

    Very disappointing, stopped by for dinner before a show at the stanley. Our table ordered the family love, the chicken was dry and the cheddar biscuits were hard and dry, they definitely were not made that day. Server didn’t check back soon enough to get a new order. We ordered the deviled eggs for app, they were good. The place is beautiful but I think Guy himself needs a visit.☹️

    This was our first time to eat at The Post Chicken & Beer, my husband, our exchange student from Austria, and myself. The food and service was superb. The location, next to the Stanly Hotel, offered a beautiful view of the mountains. Our waiter was very nice and considerate of our needs. Even though the restaurant was busy, he stayed and talked to us about astronomy, apparently one of his passions. We will most definitely return for another great meal and pass on our experience with our friends!

    The service we received was top notch and we enjoyed the atmosphere. The food was very delicious, especially the Brussel sprouts appetizer and the fried chicken was very tasty-our only issue is the fact that we ordered a large sized green chili Mac and cheese and it arrived in a really small metal dish and we felt that it was extremely skimpy for an almost $12 charge and if that was considered a large-a small ordered would’ve been no more than 4 bites-not cool. Overall, the service and the T tasty food was a great experience.

    The food was ok, but nothing amazing! The appetizer was decent, but the meal not so much. We found the wait staff slow and food to be a little pricey for what you get.
