This is one of the best steakhouses in Charlotte. My wife and I have always been huge fans of Dressler’s restaurants and this one is no different! Get the Porterhouse for 2, you’ll thank me later!!!

1st time at Porter House and it was amazing. The food and service was great. We will mostly definitely be going back. If you are in the area or looking for great food with great service it's a must try. Porter House 5 Stars in my book.

Food was excellent but prices have went up significantly since menu changed up a bit. But filets were cooked perfect and overall great experience—wish they had heart of Ribeye back on menu!

Wonderful meal at The Porters House! Service was so quick we were in and out in an hour with apps included.

The pimento cheese balls were cold and didn’t taste like pimento cheese. The filet was very good and the crab cakes were too small and were a little dry and had no sauce on them and prices were too high. We didn’t really care for the inside it wasn’t cozy too open and loud. Don’t think we will retun :(

First time visit, very impressive. Waiter was attentive and friendly. The food came out on time and was delicious! Loved the ambience too. Definately will go back.

Have always has a good experience here but not this one. Family New Years Eve eve get together but medium well steaks came in beyond well done tough and son got the Tomahawk which was under cook and have had these at other places and no way it was 38 ounces as advertised plus blood running of the board for a medium well steak. Cast irons sides were delivered lukewarm at best.

Wife’s birthday dinner. The Porters House was perfect foe this occasion. Staff was friendly and professional. Food was prepared perfectly. We will be going back for non occasion lunch and dinners in the near future. Lover this place. My 3rd time dining here.

I've been here many times, and every time that I come, I am never disappointed. The service from the beginning to the end is always outstanding. The food is always hot and fresh! They even acknowledge your special occasion if you're celebrating an event! Additionally, when you have a reservation, you're seated upon arriving rather than having to wait as you do with some restaurants. I love this place and highly recommended them!

Was our first ,in restaurant, dinner since COVID. Terri, our server, was great and it was so nice to be back into “civilization “.

Food quality lacked compared to previous times.

We decided to treat ourselves to a festive Christmas Eve supper. Very pleased with the dining experience at The Potter’s House. Staff — valet parking attendants, host/hostesses and wait staff very attentive. All courses were delicious and beautifully presented. The seared scallops were outstanding. We particularly liked the light balsamic salad dressing. Too full to order dessert and went home happy with nicely packed lobster Mac and Cheese.

The cocktail selection is robust and inventive but also includes classics and all are made to perfection. You’ll want to drink them slowly and savor the flavors. The menu selection is not overwhelming, has something for everyone and you will find yourself trying to decide between a couple of dishes. Everyone was very pleased with the food and the portions were satisfying. In addition one of the best characteristics of the restaurant is the staff, they elevate the experience and you will feel like you are eating at your friend’s home. We have been there a couple of times and everyone takes a moment to say hello and ask how you are doing - we know most all of them by name.

Have dined here several times and never had issue with the food. I sent my steak back twice for not being cooked properly. Hope this was just a bad night and doesn’t become the norm.

Everything is always on point at The Porter's House. The food and drinks are excellent and the staff is outstanding! We always feel at home at TPH!

Ordered a $115.00 bone in tomahawk ribeye that wasn’t cooked properly and didn’t taste good. Au gratin potatoes were not cooked and tasted horrible.

Excellent food. Excellent service. Charlene was a fantastic server with recommendations that were on the money. She even sent me home with some of the savory salad dressing that properly accompanied my salad. Don’t skip the cheesecake. It ain’t no ice box afterthought. This was heavenly, light and dusted with just a pinch of cinnamon. Located in Waverly, you expect beautiful surroundings. This place will leave you feeling good about a thoughtful and we’ll executed dining experience.

I was extremely disappointed with the lack of social distancing at the restaurant. There was a party of six sat directly next to us...less than 3 feet apart.

Awesome experience! From the valet to the bartender to the waiting staff, all aspects of the dining experience were exceptional. My wife and I ordered the 36oz porterhouse to share and it was fantastic. Cocktails were great as well. We will definitely be back!

Always a wonderful dining experience! for those who have Covid fears when dining out,
Porter's tables are spaced far and wide apart, Masks are worn by all staff.
I just miss seeing their smiling faces, but the Southern hospitality could be felt always!

Our third trip to Porterhouse--the seafood platter as an appetizer tasted like all items had been frozen then unthawed shortly before. We all had steaks for dinner--quality was good, not great, but perfectly cooked. The wines we chose were the highlight of the meal - excellent. Our waiter was also excellent. But, this somewhat ordinary food was $350 for three of us.
