   First time at The Porter’s House. Valet parking so convenient as this venue is located in a shopping district. Wonderful gracious hosts. Attentive wait staff. Great drinks, nice pour with the wine! Food we well presented. Piping hot and delicious. Each of us chose something different: scallops, salmon, mahi all wonderful. Great place for special occasions! Will come again!

   Not our favorite. First time there and last time as well. Restaurant week and it wsa just ok. Salmon was a huge piece (not on the restaurant menu) and very fishy. Sauce was odd tasting. Heart of rib eye was very tough and the pimento beignets were just so so ... no real taste while the mashed potatoes were sweet: so odd. Nice to try a new place but won't be going back. Not worth the money.

   Food was ok, service good. The price compares to good Southpark restaurants but the food quality does not. The dining area is one big crowded room, so noise levels are high. Bar is a nicer area than the dining room.

   Great spot in Waverly Charlotte. Perfect for dates, groups, social dining. Great food and drinks. Order "What She's Having" cocktail 🍸. Shrimp, salad & salmon was excellent. Did not care for the sweet green beans and field peas were good but the risotto was like watered down rice 👎. Steak was nice and tender. Enjoyed carrot cake but did not like the fact, it was served refrigerated cold. Love the valet parking.

    Great until the food came. Both my wife’s and my steak were undercooked. Waiter couldn’t be found as it became extremely busy while we were waiting. Waiter agreed with our assessment and provided a free dessert but the damage was already done. Went there for a perfectly cooked steak and didn’t get it

    We went during Queen's Feast...that was the only reason it was a halfway good value. The ribeye was tough, and the string beans weren't all trimmed, so we had to trim the stems. The decor looked like it was a hotel lobby, which was kind of sad considering the water glasses were crystal, the silverware and dishes were very nice.

    The service was great! Server gave us good recommendations and we thought it was reasonable for the amount of food we ordered! It was definitely loud and super crowded. We sat outside near the fire pit while waiting for a table, which was nice! We ordered pimento cheese beignets, braised short ribs, Wagyu flat iron steak, and wine. All were cooked perfectly and delicious!

    Worst experience at Queen’s Feast ever, and I have been to many. Way overbooked. Three hours plus for 3 courses. “Heart of ribeye” could literally not be cut with steak knife. Only positives - valet parking and pleasant waitress. Do not eat here!

    To celebrate my birthday, friends and I dined here. The appetizer and salad was the only good thing about this meal. Between us we had steak, chicken and salmon that was all overcooked. It seemed to have been sitting out because it took a while to receive. Then the steak was given a second chance to be corrected and it came out raw. I’m glad I dined here during restaurant week because I’d be highly disappointed paying full price for such poor quality food.

    We really enjoyed our visit. The value for restaurant week was very good. Our steaks were a good size and delicious. The highlights were the pimento cheese beignets and peppercorn cream sauce for the steaks. The only drawback was the crab-cakes were less than stellar. Overall would continue to comeback.

    Legitimately the best restaurant around. Doesn’t matter what we get, we end up liking it. My husband and I have been eating here for a few years now. They make an amazing steak. All of the food at Porter’s is exceptional! Very tasty and well prepared and you can chose among many menu options. We love the service. After a few years now, we haven’t once had bad service. Jacob is our top server. The manager, Ellis, is so friendly with the guests and always takes care to offer the best quality. We highly recommend this place!

    Why haven't I tried this amazing spot so close to home sooner? It was so nice to travel 6 miles to get a great steak and atmosphere rather than having to fight Providence Rd traffic to hit South Park or Uptown. Customer service has been lacking in many of our post-COVID dining experiences but that was not the case here. From the bubbly hostesses to our attentive server (Jason), we were well taken care of during our entire dining experience. The ambience is quaint yet sophisticated. Tables are a tad close together but thankfully it was near the end of dinner before someone was seated next to us. I had the crab cake appetizer. It was "ok"...it's not the lump crab meat-style crab cake like Del Frisco's but it was very flavorful. Just know it's breaded a little heavily on the outside and the crab meat is more "fine" than lump. Hubby RAVED about his old fashioned; he believes he's a Bourbon connoisseur these days so it must have been good. My two glasses of the Justin Cabernet did not disappoint. For dinner, I had the ribeye with two toppings, herb butter and scallops. Our shared sides were macaroni and cheese and creamed spinach. My ribeye was cooked to absolute perfection! I probably could have done without the herb butter but the scallops were divine! I wish I had had more than two. It's easy to mess up scallops and these hit the mark. Our sides were good and portions were more than ample for two. I was disappointed that there was no sweet potato pound cake for dessert but hubby had the brownie sundae and I had port (probably some of the best I've had). Overall, it was such a good experience that I spoke with the hostess to secure a private dining room to host my company's Christmas party there and it's just January!!!!

    Everything was amazing! We started with the crab cakes, followed by the Caesar Salad, the halibut and topped it off with carrot cake! The wine was fabulous and the service was impeccable! I believe The Porter’s House is my new favorite restaurant! The past few times we’ve been here, every thing we’ve ordered has been tremendous!

    We come to Porter very often. It seems like the food has gone down hill. We ordered two Ribeyes that had a good flavor but was barely warm. We ordered mushrooms and spinach, again not even warm in the cast iron skillets. We were very disappointed and should of said something but didn’t, I just didn’t want them to take it and warm it up. With the price of food it would be nice if warm.

    Food was sub par for the price. My wife had the salmon eggplant dish which essentially was salmon with marinara sauce and olives. Very strange combination that did not taste great. Our cocktails were $16 and were overly sugary - to the point where they were undrinkable. Overall, incredibly overpriced for what you are getting.

    We were in the back room where is was really quiet and the service by Jennifer and others was excellent. Even Sharlene recognized us from other visits and stopped by the table to say hello. Food was prepared perfectly. An enjoyable evening we will have again in the future.
