This place is truly a great find! Lovely location in the Valley. I have been there 3 times now and tried 3 different meals -- all spectacular!!
Amazing food, great atmosphere, friendly and helpful servers; definitely recommend!
Excellent food. Service a bit slow however.
Great service, delicious food! Appreciate the keto and GF options!
Overall great menu from standard pub food to more involved entres....
Great staff and service. Chef came out to talk to us and the waitress stayed late for us. Definitely going back.
It was too dark could not read menus. Had to use flashlights on phones. It was for a birthday. The room was spartan and really stuck in an unimaginative atmosphere. They were going to charge $25 for bringing our own birthday cake! Food was satisfying but nothing special in terms of presentation. Was disappointed generally with the experience. The prices online were cheaper than the actual menu.
Nice view, great food, would definitely recommend. We will definitely be back.
There were six of us and everyone enjoyed their choice. My husband liked his smoked meat sandwich but he did tell the server it wasn't like what a smoked meat sandwich is normally like -but he still enjoyed it.
Two of us had the cauliflower rice and thoroughly enjoyed that. We meant to ask about the recipe:)
A lovely setting and the food was tasteful and very well presented.
The wait was too long and the service a little slow for the price.
The tables are a little small for four people.
It has great promise and i will return
The local brewed beer was excellent.
Very good restaurant with a small bar Varied menu items that were prepared well and reasonably priced. We had very good service as well. I had a very good lamb burger with a wonderful large salad side dish. The chowder was good too. Next to a tidal river that drains to next to nothing at low tied. We recommend this place for good everyday dining.
Great Sunday brunch, often been to the Port but this was the first time we tried the brunch menu.
Big portions well cooked and presented, a little more than some other venues in the valley but very well worth it. Beautiful setting, seating inside or out.
The food was very good and very large portions. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. Very busy restaurant, so I recommend making reservations.
Excellent service with great food in a fantastic outdoor setting.
We come here every time we are in Halifax it is so consistent and so darn good. We had a mussel appetizer plus my wife had meatballs and I had spaghettini with scrimp. Delicious! We didn’t have room for desert but we have had those in the past and they are great as well
Pork was delicious veggies cooked perfectly. Good portion size. Husband enjoyed his arctic char. The creme brulee was perfect. Tyler was very attentive and professional. Beautiful spot on the river. Very busy Saturday night so make sure that you reserve your table.
Great night with delicious food and drinks!!
Great meal, very attentive server! Wonderful atmosphere!
It can get noisy at the Port Pub, but otherwise the ambiance, service, and food more than make up for that.
Great dining experience. I'm not sure they had a record of our online reservation but it wasn't an issue. The background music was a little too loud. Food was excellent.
We were celebrating a 1 year anniversary of a new home.
The only negative comment would be that the temperature was too cool for dining.
On a positive note our waitress was very good and we enjoyed talking with her
Lovely location and the food and service were great. Will certainly head back in summer
Last minute booking after an unexpected overnight stay in Grand Pre. Easy to book, pleasant engaging staff. Good food menu although it would suite me if there was a mashed potato option instead of fries or roast potatoes.
Devine desserts, difficult to choose.
Good views for outdoor dining in warmer weather.
Enjoyed a great meal at this restaurant, and our server Pam was phenomenal. I wish we lived closer because The Port Pub would be our place to go.
Great food, slow service. The maitre'd spent 10+ minutes seating the couple with a baby in front of us (they got the last window table too) without a reservation, our food took forever to be served, and we nearly missed the curtain for our performance despite allowing adequate time.
overall a great place to eat.the wait after ordering was a little slower that you might expect considering it was not that busy.
Date night is always enjoyable when it includes the Port Pub.
Unfortunately, this visit to the port pub was not as good as previous visits. I ordered the fish which was badly burned and the waitress was inattentive. I attempted to ask several times for another drink and she walked on by. She only came to ask how everything was, once we had all finished our meals. Too bad- we would’ve ordered more drinks but she didn’t take the time to check in.
Had a super fun dinner & eve upon recommendation of trusted friends who'd been recently. Had res and were a bit early/willing to wait in bar but after a few minutes' wait the gracious hostess had secured us a table for 2 at a window.
Nicole a perfect server and lots of fun.
Stayed thru local piano player/singer at bar while finishing wine(s) and dessert. Would come often if we lived anywhere closer than CT👍👍
We met with friends who loved sharing the view from the outdoor dining space .Very consistent quality service and food.
Excellent, friendly pub by the river. Good food and interesting local beer and cider.
Lovely patio and food options were good. We enjoyed the flavors and the beer. It does get busy but they do try to keep up.
Went here on a visit to Wolfville, and local hosts recommended the restaurant. The view was gorgeous - looking across to Acadia. We really liked the emphasis on using local ingredients, and some original food items. We sat out side on the patio. Service was friendly and helpful. Would definitely go back.
Food was really beautifully prepared. Duck spring rolls with homemade Kimchi were delicious. Asparagus risotto was creamy and savory. ESB beer was lovely.
We celebrated our anniversaries with family and that was great. We had a lovely server and the food was absolutely terrific. We hope to be more frequent diners as we now live closer. Indeed an awesome dining experience for us.
Party of three for a birthday. Very poor service. Food was ok. I had the lobster club. The lobster was very over cooked. The view of the tide coming in was the best part. I have had better at this restaurant over the years. I will assume summer students and a different cook was the variable for this visit.
Excellent meal, attentive service. Good value all round.
Our table was ready for us and accommodated our wheelchaired guest with ease. The food was magnificent and service was fantastic. My only suggestion that could make things better is a sugar free/low carb dessert option. There were three diabetics in our group and they would have liked to have a suitable low sugar or artificial sweetener option.
Had been to the Port Pub before. Everything was great other then the noise level. We were seated near a table of 14 young women who were having fun but with their conversation we had difficulty hearing each other. They weren’t doing anything wrong it would have been better if we had been seated away from them.
Our server was exceptional and made the dining experience very special. The acoustics aren’t great and it seemed a bit over priced. But a lovely evening out just the same. Thank you
