Food was wonderful—-small ala carte portions. Decor a bit bland and sparse for the art museum venue. Very attentive service and time/experience hopefully will mature.

I had the mezze plate and a glass of wine before attending an art lecture. I was there before 5 so I couldn’t order from the dinner menu, but the snack menu had plenty of choices. The food came quickly and was beautifully presented as well as delicious. I can’t wait to eat there again.

A little disappointed with the new restaurant design - felt too crowded, and missed the space from prior restaurant that exhibited art work.

Ponti's has an interesting menu and I'm sure everything is very good. We had the hamburger because it was one of the few things we recognized on the menu. I definitely liked the Old Restaurant better because of the bigger variety of things to order.

The food was delicious and beautifully presented. We received a different desert than we had ordered but it was still great. Prices are high but service is top bar. The new space feels much smaller than the previous Palettes restaurant, it is a nice space with a very long bar through the center. To be honest I was surprised that it did not utilize the beautiful round window design as a more open space. Still it is lovely. Plenty of gluten free options, also were happy to accommodate separate checks. Looking forward to trying some of the other dishes there soon.

It was with great enthusiasm that we looked forward to dining at Ponti. We were however rather disappointed. First of all the music played was loud and really not conducive to a relaxed atmosphere. Classical music would have been better as this venue is in a museum. We had studied the menu before arriving and there were so many words I didn't know that I had to look them up on Google. Most of these words had to do with very spicy ingredients, so our only choices were a grilled cheese or a burger. We made the mistake of ordering the burger rare. Mine was way undercooked and I paid the price with acute gastric distress during the evening and the next day. So did my husband. If you order the burger, make it medium cooked. The wines were expensive but the cappuccino was not. Service was attentive.

Very disappointed. The food was overly complicated and lacking in taste. The soup was inedible. The ambiance is cold and for diners in the back room it is without windows. No sense of grand "art museum style". The servers were gracious and warm, but it was very slow. Won't be going back.

Really looked forward to dining at Ponti. When we heard in was a Jennifer J. concept, we couldn't wait to get a reservation. We ate dinner on a Tuesday, which is the only night they serve dinner. We were very disappointed. The menu was limited, with several sandwiches and seemed more like a lunch menu. I ordered the Linguini, and it was the worst pasta dish I have ever eaten. The pasta was in inch long chunks with marble sized wads of noodles stuck together. The noodles had a terrible grainy texture. The whole dish tasted sour because the chef used canned artichokes. My husband got the burger, which was a mash up of beef and mushrooms. It tasted gamey. The sweet potato fries that came with the burger were delicious. We had two small plates as well. The roasted carrots were fine, but nothing special. The Brussels Sprouts were amazing and were the best thing we had all night. Service was meh. Our waiter started out fine, but after our table was cleared (by a different person), he literally left us for over 15 minutes with water glasses on the table. He was standing 10 feet away from us, and we still had to flag him down for the check. So sad that this was our experience. The space was so lovely, and had so much potential. Unfortunately we will not return. Waste of time and money.

We were seated in a corner with no window. So didn’t get the full ambiance of the restaurant. Pasta dish was greasy(bowl had a pool of butter)? at the bottom, the other pasta dish was not cooked well. Pasta was too firm and look was not appealing. The grilled cheese sandwich was also way too greasy. On the plus side, the Arugula salad with picked onions was very good but we were expecting more from this meal from top to bottom.

We are fans of Jennifer Jasinski restaurants and love what she does with vegetables. If we could cook like that, we'd be vegetarians! We ordered the roasted carrots and brussels spouts two ways. Both were yummy. Whatever was in the s'hug added a fabulous crunch and flavors. We watched the Mezze plate go by and had wished we had gotten that too. But we did order Mains: Green Machine Sandwich - maybe just a little more peanut butter next time, and the Tempeh Reuben - which was ordered by a meat lover (he said the texture was great and the sauerkraut was fabulous (wondered if we could get a jar to go!). We ended with the Chocolate Banana Cake. No leftovers. Our waitress paced the meal wonderfully and came back to check on us often. We would happily eat here again, maybe taking a spot at the lovely marble bar with its pink velvet high chairs.

Not great for vegans and vegetarians. Only 1 vegan dish - sandwich, peanut butter w apple and veggies. Peanut butter was very salty and overwhelmed the other tastes. Also very messy - on sourdough with holes. Recommend that they put the toast w pb on top! They didn't know if their cheeses were truly vegetarian (whether made with animal rennet or microbial enzymes). Great crisp sweet potato fries w pb sandwich. Also had ancient grains w espuma as we arent' strict vegan - that was good. And non-vegetarian had grilled cheese which was good. Nice atmosphere, good service, not noisy.

We loved the Palettes which Conti replaced. Went from fine dining to coffee shop. We had hoped the new building would have duplicated the experience. For a five star art museum they missed the point of a restaurant in the museum.

Very good food and service; however, we miss the ambience that Palettes (the previous restaurant at the DAM) had. This place is noisier, tables are too close together (especially in this time of Covid), and the menu is a bit weird. Also, they were out of the salmon plate by 12:30!

Hi Tamster. There's definingly some nostalgia for Palette's but we hope you come to enjoy The Ponti just as much. While we are a smaller space it's allowed us to open a fantastic coffee shop with great food options across the hall in Café Gio. Please be sure to check it out on your next visit!

Dinner menu includes things like sandwiches and then really high-end stuff. We didn't order the sandwiches, so can't really decide whether this is an identity crisis or playfully dipping into the repertoire of the museum cafeteria. In any case, the food was excellent--ambitious, demanding dishes that they completely pull off. Service was good but our particular server kept pulling his mask down every time he spoke. However, on the whole, they were accommodating in terms of Covid concerns like placement. -On Tuesday nights, dinner till 9 and the Museum is open until 9.

The Ponti at the Denver Art MuseumResponded on November 21, 2021

Thanks for the feedback caetanosfur. As you said we only provide dinner service on Tuesday and we are a lunch restaurant 7 days a week. Our menu is meant to be lighter and vegetable forward for daytime dining but as time goes by we'll begin to expand our dinner options. Thanks for the great feedback as well on the menu, our Chefs have done an amazing job and we're glad you were in to have a meal with us.
