The special was cod and it was fabulous.
We had a great visit and a wonderful meal. Thanks!
This was my first time to the Point in a long while and it did not disappoint. The food and drink were delicious and there was a jazz trio playing that elevated the entire experience.
Birthday , enjoyed the private room. Suggestion to be a little more proactive clearing table with a large group.
Wonderful evening thank you,
Waitress was excellent!! Food was marginal
Beef rib chef special gone by 6:45pm?? ? Seriously?
Sat at high table in bar area, had 2 TV’s on with bloody Boxing, absolutely no one was interested or watching bloody boxing
Our 4th time there, but somewhat disappointed
Great food and great service. Just a bit noisy.
Online menu varied from actual menu which was disappointing.
Group of 12, (7) adults and (5) kids, all of us had never been prior. Atmosphere was great, lots of people, lots of room to navigate. Hostess and Server were knowledgeable and extremely friendly. Since they were so busy the Hostess did lend a hand to our table. They have GLUTEN FREE option which is a huge bonus. No kids menu but we made it work. Some portions are small for the pricing. I ordered a garden salad and it was priced at $12 but only I only received less then 1/2 the bowlful so it was more like a side salad portion. Chicken Parm was a good portion and priced at $22. Pizzas were personal size but delicious, burgers and fries very good too! Fries did come out cold. Drinks were pretty reasonable. Waited 45-50 minutes for food to arrive. Giving a lot of latitude that small business is hurting, not enough staff and prices are soaring so support local, give courtesy that meals may take a bit longer and be grateful that the few staff these places actually have showed up to work so we could eat out. Overall I would go again without kids!! Total bill with tip included was $505.
Menu on open table is not accurate. Came here based on it. More of a pizzeria menu not entrees. Disappointed as it was a birthday dinner. Stayed because was a Saturday nite and too late to go elsewhere. Waitress was nice -when asked about menu was told have a new chef.
Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere. We had a lovely date night here.
Good food..good prices…friendly staff..will return again…
We went for our anniversary and sat outside. Our waiter Thomas was great, the food was very good and everyone was very friendly. Will go back.
Thursday nights they have live music, bonus! Our food was very good. The salmon and the lobster and pasta so delicious. The chicken parm was burnt, but they took care of it and brought out a beautiful dish that was excellent.
Bottle of wine a good deal (based on glass price) and the draft beer selection was good.
We came in from the city for the races from Saratoga but we’re also celebrating our anniversary. We don’t know any of the local spots out here but the reviews seemed good and this restaurant was near our hotel. Not only was the food amazing but the service was outstanding. The GM came to our table several times to give us a few local fun facts once he heard we were from out of town. Our server had a great personality and you could tell he enjoyed his job. I highly recommend this restaurant. And get the donuts for dessert !
Very nice meal with great service. I wish the menu was like the original one. Now all entrees are Italian
We ordered 3 Apps and a chicken parm to split. We took half of the chicken home. Service was excellent. We sat outside to eat. Would definitely recommend this place for dinner
Food was awesome. Service could be improved upon slightly.
Food and service very, very good. A bit loud near larger tables. Definitely will return.
Great food and service.
Large portions. Baked eggplant was delicious. Nice selection on the Dinner menu and drink menu. Parking in the back was good. Mirrors on the ceiling were a nice added touch!
Kelly, our server was wonderful
We enjoyed it thoroughly and the service and food were fantastic
The menu is slightly limited, but everything we had was cooked well and tasted good. I had the pizza and loved the char and bubbles on the dough/crust.
We had a great time dining on outdoor patio. Weather was perfect, service was great, menu had many choices and we had appetizer, main entrees and dessert - all tasted great! Highly recommend this restaurant and looking forward to dining there again soon!
Great service. Cocktails were outstanding. Baked eggplant was so tough I couldn’t eat it. Should have emphasized that the pizza my friend ordered with shareable size. It was my friend’s birthday so I didn’t bring attention to it. The donut dessert was underwhelming. Probably would not return until I can get mussels for happy hour again. I’ve been there for many occasions but it’s been awhile because of COVID. I did not leave with a “must return soon” attitude.
The menu has changed!!! We were very disappointed that the menu hadn't been updated on Open Table.
Professional service and excellent food. We enjoyed our experience and will come back again.
Food was absolutely amazing. Took a while for service but once we realized how few waitstaff they had we understood
We were a party of 10 last night and were a bit disappointed ... I ordered a side salad and meatballs. I reminded staff twice that I have not yet received my salad. It finally arrived in a to go box for me to take home. Another diner's chicken parm was cold. I know everyone is a bit out of practice, but we expected more as the Point has always been a favorite.
the new menu is quite limited, but what we had was good
Caution to people making restaurant decisions based on menus linked to opentable:
We made a reservation for Saturday May 8, 2021 as a celebration dinner for our son's graduation at this restaurant based on the menu we downloaded from the opentable site. WOW - instead of having a varied menu to choose from, imagine our disappointment when, once seated, we were given menus for what amounts to a PIZZA JOINT!!! Definitely NOT the menu we reviewed and, ultimately, used to make our dining decision for that evening!!! The menu WE saw (again - from the opentable site the DAY before we were to arrive)) had a wide variety of appetizers, salads, and entrees. What we were given had exactly TWO entrees: Chicken Parm and Eggplant Parm!!! Not anywhere near "celebration dinner" level.
Thank God they had a steak special - which was quite good and very reasonably priced. But, unlike the opentable menu, there were no fish entrees. Two salads" house or Caesar (and who puts tomatoes on Caesar salads??!!??!!).
In fairness to the restaurant, the service was excellent and the steaks were good. Our daughter had a vegan & gluten-free pizza and described it as delicious.
The Point really is a neighborhood bar and pizza place, not a fine dining establishment. The bar and bar service area is twice the size of the dining area - tells you all you need to know.
Opentable folks - UPDATE YOUR MENU LINKS!!!!!! We've learned a valuable lesson - call the restaurant to verify the menu and make your reservations; too risky to use opentable info to make those decisions!
Servers were great and I was happy they had gluten free options. Food and drinks were good and they have a good selection of those. Nice ambiance for a date night. The menu was different from what they had on their website. It seemed to be a shortened menu.
Always the best! We are so lucky to have them in the area.
We loved sitting outside. The server was great. Food is a simple Italian menu. Very reasonable prices.
Our Server was super-duper amazing.
My fiancé loved the Burretta and my Chicken Parmigiana was some of the best I’ve ever had 👍🏾👍🏾
We had three separate dinner selections (pork loin special, shrimp scampi, eggplant parm) and each was well prepared, tasted great and looked amazing when served. Our appetizer of Arancini was amazing as well. Crisp and delectable. Our server was friendly and helped us with questions on the menu and was available to us the entire time. The Point has always been a great place to eat and our visit this time was outstanding. Totally recommend to others
A friend and I made reservations on a Saturday, early evening. Although the patio was filled, inside was not as busy. We were seated and after waiting over 15 minutes to be acknowledged, I got up from my table to find a waiter to come by and take our orders. After contemplating leaving and waiting for another unknown period of time for drinks(as the waiter didn’t ask for our food orders before rushing away), we decided to relocate to the bar as service seemed faster/more reliable. Thankfully, the bartender made our initial subpar experience great. His attentiveness & friendliness allowed for my friend and I to enjoy our time. I understand COVID has taken a hit on the restaurant industry but two people waiting over 20 minutes to be acknowledged is ridiculous.
Food was excellent - service was lacking - Very long wait for drinks, 45 minutes between appetizer & entrée.
Nice quiet dinner with my wife.
