   Good food. Interesting flavors. Definitely a better option that most of the “touristy” restaurants on Ocean Ave. You’ll get way better tasting & quality food. Will definitely be back when in the Monterey / Carmel area in the future.

   Always a first class experience! Sunny, Lisette, Chef and the entire staff couldn’t be more professional and welcoming. Chef recommended the Halibut which was fresh caught that day and lovely. The Calamari appetizer was plentiful and on an interesting and flavorful sauce. I could go on and on….

   Greatly exceeded our expectations. Plenty of interesting plates to choose from, including several delicious vegetable side dishes. Large servings. Impeccable service provided by at least four staff members who tended to our needs. Although the restaurant was full, it was quiet enough that I could easily hear the conversation at the table.

   So this restaurant was recommended to us by our driver. We made reservations and went to experience what the hype was all about. We started with the pea greens salad and it was so yummy. The mains came, I had the halibut and my partner had the wagu short ribs. His was really tasty from what he claims but my halibut was a bit dry. We finished with the berry bread pudding…. AMAZING!!! My take is that the $44 plate is really expensive for dry fish. $14 for a glass of perseco and $25 for a glass of wine….. a little much. I do realize we are in Carmel but I would have tried another spot had I known. Well worth the try….. just expensive.

   Excellent dining spot! Food is fantastic, service was impeccable (shout out to Colin). Location is great. Best olive oil cake I’ve ever had. Not lying.

   What a fabulous birthday dinner we had at The Pocket! Food was incredible and the menu was fresh and unique. Our server was outstanding, she made excellent recommendations and she nailed our order. The ambience is lovely, a friendly modern twist on classic Carmel dining. Welcoming staff made special reservations simple from afar. We will definitely dine here again and again!

    We always love this spot, the food is always very good, fresh and interesting. I would give it a five if: they changed the so called music. It is drivel, annoying and not conducive to conversation. They should at least try something softer, less bass, more relaxing. And I love music! Would love if they carried Beefeaters Gin; Hendricks or others are not my favorite.
