Hmmmm, unfortunately not a great experience. Started with No Real Ale for the 2 Real Ale drinkers. Not ALL wine advertised on the menu was "by the glass" despite stating it was. Lemon in Pineapple juice? Starters were all good except the bread to go with the Prawn Cocktail was like a hot rock! Main courses took some time to arrive despite it being very quiet. No other diners around us. Seconds after it arrived one of the chairs collapsed that a 68year old family member was sat on!!! An average size man by no means overweight. Took some time to get him up and remove/change chair. By the time we sat down again, the food was cold. They did reheat it but most of us had lost our appetite due to the stress of the chair saga. I remember the beef being tough and the gravy was watery and had no taste to it. We did get an apology from the Manager and 25% discount. The chair incident should not have happened! The Manager gave the name of the Area Manager but said "it would be no use contacting him as nothing else would happen"! oh, ok then.

I would rate the food and value a zero as we never got to eat there. The service was shocking, only one waitress serving the entire restaurant during a busy Sunday lunch. Our food order was taken a few minutes after we arrived. we had one round of drinks, with no further table service. We were approached by the waitress after waiting for 1hr 30 and told that our food order wasn’t placed, after which point we told her to leave it (wasn’t going to let my child sit and wait another hour for food) We requested to speak to the manager and was told she was on leave, we then requested to speak to the next senior manager and was told it was the chef, he refused to speak to us. This restaurant seriously needs to have a look at how they treat their customers and how they support their over worked staff.

Lovely, friendly staff, but I’m afraid the food was a letdown. What we got was nice, but very small, child portions which made the overall bill quite expensive.
