The Plough Shiplake, pub & dining room that prides itself on offering a delicious, seasonal menu with an excellent drinks selection. The Plough makes you feel special, and at home, all at the same time.

The menu itself is the perfect combination of reinvented pub favourites, with interesting and culinarily creative signature dishes. As well as having a reputation for the best cocktails in Oxfordshire.

The building has been lovely restored; creating a homely, yet modern atmosphere, where it's easy to get lost in conversation for hours. Every table has been given an unique touch and the open fire creates warmth, in both meanings of the word.

We have been to the Plough several times but we thought the choice of menu was very limited and the prices for both food and wine have increased too much in view of the limited food choice.

Fish and chips very good especially tasty batter on fish. Rum Eton mess delicious. Beautiful garden to eat in. Very loud music which thought quite unnecessary but was turned down at our request Will return. Menu pricey but fish and chips very good value

We love the venue. Staff are very friendly Food very poor, and £7 for a small bowl of cabbage was outrageous Hard potatoes and over salted meal. Very disappointed

Fantastic food, lovely ambiance but quite expensive for a Sunday roast.. It does taste amazing and a reasonable portion size too..

Fish shop menu was outstanding. Batter was so light and fish was cooked to perfection. Great idea to be able to choose skinny or fat chips, mushy or garden peas. Dessert (knickerbocker glory) was excellent. Would thoroughly recommend.

What an absolute gem with outstanding food, sadly too far from home to become a regular haunt! Our starters of Whitebait and Summer Food Salad were well presented, tasty and a delightful prelude to the main course. Excellent service with a table overlooking the attractive landscaped garden. Jill was a welcoming host with a wealth of knowledge gathered from experience. We will certainly be returning.
