   Fantastic roast beef, but the green cabbage was dried out and the swede looked to have been sitting around too long, so we avoided them, but there was plenty of other delicious vegetables on offer to offset them. Overall an excellent meal at a very reasonable price. Would go again if in the area.

   Great menu, delicious food and drink, served quickly. Even the view from our table was lovely (fields)!

   Another visit to one of my favourite places to eat. Food is always excellent and tasty. Had the pie today fillings change.Today it was turkey and ham.I believe it was a suet bottom and a crispy pasrey top ( what I'd call as rustic pie) . It was very tasty with mash and nicely cooked vegetables (and a side of extra gravy) Still nice and bright with a very light crunch to the green beans and broccoli. Carrots were roasted and had a lovely soft bite to them. Also had a starter. The prawn garlic bruscetta is amazing a must-have. Couldn't manage pudding as I was so full. Book, stay, enjoy. Well worth it. I must have been about 6-8 times in the last 2 years. And will keep returning.

   Four of us sat at a bar table, which was fine. The service was not as good as it usually is. 3 of us had the carvery and that was enjoyed by all who had it. One of us had sausages and mash. Unfortunately the sausage skin was quite hard to cut and will not be chosen again. Staff very polite and helpful when they took our orders. Will definitely be returning.

   Very nice pub, lovely attentive friendly staff, food was nice apart from the sausages were a bit tough (skin) and not that tasty, some of veg was bit too hard but overall very tasty. Portions are on the bigger size so good value for money. The Smokey meat platter was delicious, the pork belly slice was my favourite and melted in my mouth

   Plenty to eat, in fact we are considering next time to have a starter only so we can have a desert as well as we can't manage one with a main. Definitely valve for miney
