   The menu was varied and the quality was exceptional. Staff couldn’t have been friendlier. Highly recommend.

   On arrival we were shown a table for two located in the entrance to the Restaurant and under the stairs. Totally unsuitable and were told this was the table that had been reserved for us. We declined the table and were subsequently shown into the main restaurant where there was a table available. Not a good start!!! Thankfully the staff and service were excellent and the food was superb. We enjoyed our visit.

   First off staff were amazing. Very welcoming and attentive. Starters were good, I had the baked beans on toast, very tasty, my husband had the soup. My husbands main was good (burger) but it was all sadly let down by my main, fish and chips. The batter was not crispy , a bit soggy and the chips were very floury and none of it tasted of much even after I put salt on it. Had it not been for the fish and chips I would have obviously scored higher

   My friend and I went for a light lunch as a break from work. We both had ‘small plates’ which were a perfect size for us and also perfect presented. It was my friend’s first time here and she wanted to check the place out. She loved it and will be booking again at a later date!!

   Great food and service especially as we were a large party - and pretty ebullient! Luke’s innovative ‘small plates’ and starters are a big hit with guests visiting The Plough with us. And as ever friendly, efficient service and made very welcome.

    Loved it! Fab food, we were looked after by Chris who was super helpful and efficient. Great garden for lunch. I highly recommend going!
