As usual the food was outstanding, two of us had the Sunday roast, which is very good. And one had the pie and remarked it was good too. The waiter was cheerful and even though he was run off his feet. The restaurant was very busy due to the Fathers Day celebrations. Would highly recommend this restaurant. It is the best place to eat in Alnwick :)

We booked for 5.30 and had a party of 6 adults and 3 children. Mains came relatively quickly but our desserts didn't arrive until nearly 2 hours later. We had to ask for our table to be cleared twice. There was no loo roll in the ladies toilet which we alerted the bar staff to but unfortunately this wasn't rectified. Food was very nice but we were just disappointed with the service. Otherwise a nice place to eat with a good menu range.

We chose The Plough because of the good online reviews and we weren't disappointed. I had an excellent Sunday Roast and my partner had cottage pie. The desserts were just as good as the main course. We were served by a very amiable, attentive young waiter, who was very prompt at serving everyone and clearing tables. Highly recommended

It was the first time visiting and we really enjoyed it. We had the £12 lunch and drink deal and it was such good value. The guy serving did a brilliant job of running the place on his own and was rushed off his feet. Compliments to the chef too as the food was delicious 😋

The food was really good and service very quick. Although the music was a little loud, making conversation difficult, so we just ate quickly and cut our visit short.
