   As usual, the food was delicious. However, the service was terribly slow - partly due to being very busy and partly due to not enough staff serving - very unusual though, as the service is generally quick. We gave up waiting for the dessert menu and had coffee and mince pies at home. Shame, as it was a special lunch out with a relative. Despite this, I would still recommend this restaurant and use it again myself.

   Food was really good . Service was attentive and smiley . Room was nicely decorated for Xmas and we were nicely welcomed . We went on a Saturday and it was quite busy with a lot of diners arriving at the same time but there was no wait for the food or between courses. Unfortunately for us we did not realise that there would be musical entertainment in the bar which wasn't to our taste and to my ear off key. Being quite loud It somewhat overpowered conversation. However the food , general ambience and service means we will go back again but possibly not on a Saturday if music is on the menu

   Lived down here for years and never been in, had a lovely meal for 2, food was great and speedy, but expensive but you get what you pay for, great atmosphere for special occasions aswell.

   Lovely restaurant/pub, food exceptional,portion size & presentation Ist class. Good value,staff friendly & helpful. The chef/chefs can really cook would recommend a visit you won’t be disappointed.

   Very nice pub/restaurant, service was good. the food was extremely good. Hot & tasty,reasonably size portions, not a lot of veg though, could have done with more we thought for the price paid. Picked the wrong Sunday to go for a nice quite Sunday lunch though, England match was being shown on their big screen, 6-1 so very noisy... not the fault of the pub had forgotten when I booked the table,but overall was still ok. Would recommend & will go again.

   The chef knows how to cook which might sound normal but it shows, veg and meat cooked perfect, would have liked a dumpling in the stew :)

    We love the Playa! We love the food and the service is always excellent! It is our favourite place to eat on the Isle of Sheppey, and the surrounding area.
