service was poor the staff were all new. The bottom of the pizzas tasted burnt. Very noisy groups of people next to us. Rather expensive
We had a lovely time sitting on the terrace with our friends. The food was very good although a tad expensive, as was the wine. However the presentation and service were both completely excellent and we had a very happy time and planning to return.
Great food but somewhat pricey..
Slow but friendly service although they didn’t appear that busy.
I guess that resulted in the lovely relaxed atmosphere and we weren’t in a hurry.
Great Sunday lunch at Pinkney's Arms. Seating outside on benches is not terribly comfortable unless you have short legs! Service prompt and polite and food tasty.
The Pinkneys arms staff are very helpful and we had a great lunch.
Great for sitting out in the garden. Service and staff super helpful and attentive.
Food was good, but nothing wow.
good food, pub atmosphere, a little on the pricey side for what was sitting in a beer tent, but the good was good
Love the pinkneys arms. Been going there for years. A good standard of everything and probably the best pub in Maidenhead. Great garden.
Lovely outdoor area, food quality was excellent and good service.
Brilliant pub, brilliant food, brilliant drink and brilliant staff. Can't wait for my next visit.
Food was fine and service would have been good had staff been wearing masks as is still legally required
Great staff and atmosphere
The pinkneys arms has long been a favourite of ours, having eaten and drunk in there many times over the years. Yesterday we had a really disappointing Sunday lunch for £20 which - considering what we got - was a rip off. Small portions, watery gravy and waiting staff who couldn’t answer really basic questions and seemed constantly confused and bewildered.
Enjoyed a Sunday roast with family - the atmosphere was great, the food was home made and delicious, and service was good. The Sunday roast was not massive, but in my view they provide quality over quantity, which we were happy with!
Great food and garden. Brilliant for kids too, definitely be going back
Penny pinching establishment that could be so good but for the lack of attention to detail and the desire to be at the higher end of 'gastro pub'.
£12 for scallops - only 2 of them, not particularly big. Nice enough flavour but served lukewarm and slightly gritty texture (probably left under a heat lamp too long) - decent enough attempt for £8 but not at the price charged.
The burger was okay - raw onion in the minced beef is good value for money - it repeated on us all night! We asked for crispy bacon on the burger and it was far from it. These little failings let the pub down. On a positive, the truffle fries were very good.
Why penny pinching? Apart from failing to execute on food at the price point, we were astounded that the liquid soap in the toilets was watered down to such an extreme it was a pointless (and unhygienic) addition to the facilities. Very poor.
If you want a pint and pizza (which is fab)in a beer garden then Pinkneys is perfect. Anything else you might be disappointed - especially if you like to wash your hands!!
The service and quality of the food was excellent. The bar had a really vibrant atmosphere and made us fell like things were very much back to normal. Choice of food and drink very good.
Great service from staff.
Lovely food which all enjoyed.
We will definitely be back. We booked an inside table, but they managed to find us a table in a lovely outside area on a mild evening. Table was beside a slightly noisy bar area, but it was fine. It was clearly a v busy night, but both the food and service were good.
Fantastic local pub with great team running it! Lovely back garden and inside restaurant
Delicious food and great staff as always.
The outside dining experience was delightful. Beautiful garden and delicious food. The menu has something for everyone and a variety of options. The service was excellent.
The food was really nice, a well cooked pizza with plenty of toppings and dessert was good too. Service was friendly and prompt.
Nice place, good food and service, very dog friendly, overall really happy with our afternoon in Pinkneys Arms.
Fantastic venue, excellent food, friendly staff and brilliant musician! Sunday roast was superb. Service great. Couldn’t rate it highly enough
Lovely food and great attentive staff. Pub and gardens great too
Will go back so don't read this review or we won't get a table! So pretty, crowd was fun, food was fantastic, service was awesome! Booking a table now!!
This used to be our local as they had the most amazing truffle mushroom pizza and a big garden for the kids to play in. This time the mushroom pizza had canned mushrooms instead of fresh and seemed have gone down in quality overall. We ordered 3 kids meals of which one was complete forgotten along with a side salad we would have liked with our pizzas. Service was at an all time low and other guests seem to have turned into bug drunk smoking groups. Not the family friendly place we used to like. Now that moved to Marlow we are certainly not making our way up Winter Hill. Shame as this used to be one of our favourites!
Amazing hospitality and food as always from the PA team.
Lovely pretty garden. Delicious food and friendly service.
Father’s Day Lunch - a day early
Great place fantastic food ! Sat for 5hrs talking eating and drinking they made us feel so special and welcome real shame to go home
Friday night is really busy, mainly with drinkers. Good to see people out again. However, I was not aware that the only food available was Pizza. I wish their website had told us this, I would not have booked for Friday if I had known they were doing such a limited menu.
Over priced for pub grub, small amount of food on plate.
Dined as a family of four for Sunday roast at the beginning of June '21. The venue was well presented and extremely clean. Covid compliance in place, as one would expect. We all opted for the roast beef and it was simply excellent. Combined with crispy roast potatoes, light fluffy Yorkshire puddings and a selection of well cooked seasonal vegetables. Starters and desserts also excellent matched with a strong and defining wine list (you must try the dessert wine !!) All in all, a fantastic lunch served by helpful and polite staff. I have no hesitation in recommending The Pinkneys Arms for Sunday lunch and we've already booked to try their midweek a la carte menu !!!
Came for a drink and enjoyed the atmosphere and weather so got a pizza too. Lovely friendly staff and the garden area is so nicely done.
Lovely garden-fab food and great service from the whole team!
The venue is great but food it is poor! My wife has ordered a risoto that had no flavor and the bolognese was tallow tasting meat!
Would have loved the burger to be back in the menu. It has been substituted with a £34 steak which for a Tuesday nip to the pub is a bit excessive.
Very friendly service. Delicious pizza and great selection of drinks. I absolutely recommend this place.
