Good food. Good service.
Excellent food and service!
Good solid restaurant. It was a Monday so I think they were a bit short staffed. Service was good but slow but also it was very busy for a Monday (overwhelmed)
Overall the experience was good. Our table was available when we arrived. They had mandatory valet parking, I guess because it was a holiday, not something we're accustomed to at the Pineville Tavern. Service was good, as was the food. The menu was limited, again, probably because it was a holiday. The one serious downside-the food prices were outrageously high, more like a high end restaurant than a local tavern. Will keep that in mind when considering future visits.
this is a great local institution and the food was very good and the ambiance very good. \Limited wine list but excellent service.
Another great dinner at Pineville! So glad we discovered this place a few months ago. A little bit of a drive for us but so worth it. Our go to place especially for special occasions!
We arrived for 4:15 reservation, party of 7. The place was nearly empty at that time. They took us to a dirty table and things were downhill from there. The waitress was not mentally present the whole meal. We waited about 20 minutes for drinks and she never came back to check on drinks again. When finally served the orders were wrong, we never received bread or the salad that was supposed to come with meal, we had no silverware, no sauces served with seafood, one of the beer glasses was so dirty my brother didn’t use it, there were dirty napkins under the table, and the vents above table were filthy. The food on menu was twice as expensive as was seen on line menu, came with nothing and 3 of us ordered crab cakes that were so spicy they were nearly inedible. On top of all of that the waitress added on a $45. tip that she in no way deserved. Over all it was one of the worst dining experiences of my life. Would never go back again.
Nice lunch, outdoor seating was a plus. Wish they had some more vegetarian options. A veggie burger would have been great and a few more vegetarian appetizers.
This was our first visit to Pineville even though it is almost a neighborhood spot.
Went for ‘brunch’ but it was really lunch as there are no breakfast items on the menu (it opens at 11:00 am). Food is very good and plated nicely. Service was really outstanding, pleasant and professional. Large (free) parking lot with valet available
Menu was somewhat limited. Didn’t see anything I really wanted. Ended up with a strip steak which was fine. Service was great. Ambiance in front room is fantastic. Less so in the back rooms .
Arrived at approximately 6:47 for a 6:45 reservation. Was immediately seated outside at about 6:50. Server was nice, told us he’d be right with us. He came back and took our drink order. Again very friendly, and busy, since he also had two large parties. Drinks delivered and order taken.
By 6:25 tables around are getting their food, we still haven’t gotten our appetizer. Server is still nice, promising food will be right out, but still never arrives. At this point, we cancel the appetizer, because we’re assured our order is on its way.
By 7:45, still no food. Also, no offer for another round of drinks. Also, both large parties (one who arrived after us) had food on the table.
At this time we tell the server we’re leaving. We go into the restaurant to tell a manager about the situation. Never talked to a manager, but got the check for the drinks handed to us. We were planning on paying for them anyway, but beyond the server, no one seemed to be very concerned with the situation. Makes me wonder if this isn’t their first experience with this type of situation.
Very pleasant experience. Did not get name of male server but he was excellent courteous efficient and available without being intrusive.
Prices are a bit high and will have to consider this in the future.
Excellent wait staff
Food was delicious.
Great place, good food, service and atmosphere..had a good time with friends
We sat outside in the garden on a Sunday evening. The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted. Food and service was wonderful! We dine here often but this was our first time outside! Definitely will be back throughout the summer!
We were a table of 3. Two of us had scallops. They tasted fishy, not like normal. The waitress was great. Very hospitable and friendly.
Great ambiance on the patio! The service and food was great, too!
had 2 different types of a chicken dinner both were tough and uneatable also had to fillets and lobsters dinners and the steaks were ordered as medium and both were over cooked
This was our first dining experience inside in more than a year. Making a reservation was easy, and although we could not eat outside due to the weather, we felt distanced enough to drop our masks completely. The food was quite good although the ‘Bawlmer’ crabcake entree had changed a bit. Not as lumpy? A bit smaller? More filler? Nonetheless, all was tasty. Our server was attentive and friendly. We will return.
Outstanding evening and great food. Our server Matt was very good and outgoing!
We like the Pineville Tavern and have tried to support the restaurant throughout the pandemic times. Food and service have varied wildly because of circumstances. I was with 4 friends and family on Tuesday evening. Great table in the bar, ambiamce good, food great but let down by enthusiastic but significantly undertrained wait staff. So, advice to management - train your wait staff in general etiquette and wine service. BTW - nothing wrong with the waiter (we left a 20% tip) - he just needed a better handle on how to do table service.
A couple of friends and I had dinner at the Pineville Inn. We had eaten there numerous times over the past few years. The rigatoni bolognese was just OK. It seemed more like a vodka sauce. The food wasn't very hot. The food was mediocre.
Food was great but atmosphere was very loud.
LONG WAIT FOR FOOD,NO EATING UTENSILS OR NAPKINS ONCE FOOD WAS SERVED, TABLES ALL AROUND ALSO HAD LONG WAIT FOR FOOD.
Food and atmosphere were great. Service suffered due to their being short staffed. Would definitely go again.
The food is always good at the Pineville Tavern. The noise level is loud if they are crowded, and the ambiance is rustic.
Service was outstanding. There is a nice variety of drinks, cocktails and reasonable costs. The food is very good but the prices are a bit high for the menu selections and quantities.
Seated 10 minutes late
Waitress and cuisine were excellent.
Only down fall was the high noise level
Server was rude. Was annoyed at anything we asked. Eye rolling and all. Food was just okay.
Meal didn’t come out on time . Waiter informed us they messed my dinner up. But it was well worth the wait and desert was on them . Overall another great night . Definitely will be returning soon
Always enjoy the Pineville. Celebrated a birthday and food and ambiance was wonderful.
Great inside and outside dining
My wife and I decided to spend our 53rd wedding anniversary at this local resturant with a quite meal. We ate outside and were not disappointed by the casual but very nice setting. The meal was very nice and the wait staff was very attentive also.
All things considered we had a very nice time and a good meal.
ALWAYS GOOD! Friendly staff...good menu, clean and great outdoor seating
Great special Grilled Shrimp Romaine Salad. Very accommodating. Excellent Service.
Great venue, delicious food, and friendly, attentive servers.
The Pineville Tavern is a wonderful restaurant to enjoy a relaxed yet special meal. The server was attentive but not intrusive. The food was outstanding and unusual without being odd. My entree (Seared Scallops with Peas and Asparagus in a Beurre Blanc Sauce) was one of the best restaurant meals I have had. My only complaint is that nothing extra comes with the meal- not a bread basket or a salad. So it is hardly a bargain, but it is still one of my favorite restaurants.
We were celebrating our 25th anniversary with our family and had a wonderful evening sitting outside. The restaurant was very accommodating, especially with our elderly parents and the service was excellent. We all enjoyed our dinners and wouldn't hesitate to come back again.
