Sat outside and our waitress was excellent. My snapper soup was just ok as well as my Reuben.
Specials we're great! The place is very old and historic if you like that. We’ve been there a few times and will go back again.
Nice people, relaxed atmosphere and good food. It was a fun experience.
Arrived for 7:15 reservation and was told we needed to wait about 5 minutes. After 10 minutes, asked about status and hostess couldn’t remember which table we had been assigned on her tablet. Was stuck in the last table in the building in the corner of the bar next to a loud and messy table of young kids (in the bar!). Drinks were warm and watery, food was average. Had been before on several occasions but not planning to go again. Very disappointing.
Good, very good. Only one real issue: my filet was ordered medium and it came our very rare. The busboy served it, and I don't think he'd ever been asked to wait while a patron checked the temp, and was caught off-guard. Based on my many years of restaurant experience/education, I think the server should bring a steak like that to the table. He did take it back and have it fired one more time. It was still not medium but it was better and very tasty nonetheless. I'd absolutely go back.
The food was delicious and our server was friendly and knew the menu well. We enjoyed our time dinner!
Pineville never disappoints! We love their food, especially their homemade blue cheese, and the ambiance is great too!
Not what it used to be pre-COVID. Food was poor and service was also poor.
Seems that after some pretty bad meals here in the past year, PVT is back to its old self.looking forward to dining in the new Green house outdoor area
The table was outdoors right beside the road. The road has many, many big noisy trucks so it was hard to hear our conversation. Everything else was wonderful.
Our visit was great. We had hoped to sit outside but there was no staff to service the area. So...the hostess was very accomodating and found us a table in the bar where we felt comfortable. One of the ladies that attended is very cautious about COVID. I think that this is the first time that she has sat inside but the hostess went out of her way to find us a table where she was comfortable.
Thank you for being so considerate!!
Overall a very enjoyable experience. The food was very good. I would suggest the French onion soup.
The service was great. Cal did an amazing job taking care of us.
The inside of the Pineville Tavern is historic and unique.
Always a good experience.
Service was horrible. Noisy with cars driving by.
Wish the back patio was open!
Restaurant in the midst of changing outdoor dining area. Limited seating outdoors.
Love the Pineville Tavern!!!
Love the atomspehere….
Our server was great! Early dinner and not too busy. Had the chicken parm, a bit dry but my party enjoyed their burger and cheese steak. Plentiful portions. Nice outdoor dining planned.
Our party all enjoyed our entrees and our server was very attentive and pleasant. Looking forward to the re-opening of the normal outdoor dining area; was told it may be just a week or so away. The temporary outdoor dining is fine, just a little competition with street traffic but we could converse easily. The menu is varied and the drink menu is too, with a nice representation of local breweries. All told, a great experience and will recommend and go back soon!
Really fast and friendly service and excellent food.
Absolutely delicious food! And the service was as good as it gets!😊
Everybody was working very hard, but the restaurant was very short-staffed and so being seated and getting our order taken was a little longer than normal. The food was great and the ambiance was also very nice.
Food was delicious and our waitress was fantastic!!
Wonderful meal, with excellent service. Our food was spot on and delicious.
Waitress Service was great, but food came out of kitchen cold and dry. Manager said we would have to pay for a new steak if we wanted it to be warm.
We sat outside, hence the noise alert. Food was fantastic. Hit the sense that get kitchen was overstretched but our server could not have been better. Lovely evening.
Service was very very slow. They had a lot of food runners I noticed so they should of helped out with drinks. It took forever to even get a glass of water. At the end after sitting there for over 3 hours for dinner I opted out of getting dessert and I really was looking forward to getting something but didn’t want to wait another 45 minutes to get it.
Getting very pricey with a limited menu. Food was good!
Excellent food and good service.
Excellent service. Quality food
Wonderful turtle soup and Cobb salad !!
Not much selection on the menu. Steak was very expensive for the quality - not much flavor. Would have been nice if it had been seasoned. Drink & wine was good but expensive for the quality. Not sure why it is so popular.
Prices very high for value received
Not enough wait staff
Value not there anymore
A article that appeared as recently stated The Pineville Tavern had Lobster dishes every Tuesday. When we arrived less than a week from reading the article we were told two weeks ago, before the article appeared, they stopped having Lobster Tuesdays. We felt it was a bait and switch. We will think long and hard before going there again.
Birthday choice for my husband and our family of five.
I’ve been dining at Pineville for over 40 years. This was a remarkable experience in both food service and ambience I am very pleased and will die in there again in the very near future
My husband enjoy his dinner, I did not. I had the crab cake it was very dry. Cosmos were delicious !
Excellent place to eat but a little loud out by the road when eating outside.
Our last experience at the Pineville was nothing like it had been in the past. Long wait even with a reservation. I got the last order of chicken tacos, and it was quite obvious. The chicken was charred, and very dry and hard to chew. No lettuce or tomato with them. Definitely not worth what they charged. Prob will not return.
Well it’s post covid can’t heat your dinner companions. This area used to be a garden now torn apart. You walk through dirt to outdoor wooden tables-chairs w/ umbrellas sadly, the bar inside isn’t inviting and I must say they are barely able to manage. Cash tip for valet expected. This isn’t a one-off!
Waited many years to dine there and was underwhelmed. Could be staff shortages because of covid but we were disappointed.
