The place to be in Roanoke - bustling lobby bar and the Pine Room has something for everyone. Attentive and friendly service. Every time we come to Roanoke, we have a meal there.

Outstanding food. We were in town for a conference. The food is so good I ate there twice. Staff is very friendly. I travel a lot and this is a restaurant that I would recommend to anyone.

Food was unremarkable. We expected more special tastes. Waiter did get the main dining room to provide a bowl of peanut soup even though they were technically closed. Soup was ok but not great and that was the main reason we chose the Hotel Roanoke for dinner.

The cocktails, appetizers, and the deserts were very good. However, we did not enjoy the two bone in ribeye steaks. They came out covered in a spicy gravy type sauce. The waitress offered to redo them. But both steaks were pretty tough and hard to cut. Would not recommend the steaks, but all else was good.

This is a restaurant inside Hotel Roanoke which is a beautiful historic place. The food is good, scallops and shrimp risotto, but the cocktail drink could be better. The service is excellent and prompt. The server is nice and friendly.

Good for hotel fare. If the lights weren’t so bright, one could have a more relaxing experience and would have ordered more drinks. Mixed drinks were exceptional. Lower the lighting and I’ll bet you sell twice the drinks!

This was a return visit to The Pine Room after attending Mill Mountain Theatre. We dined outside and it was lovely. Our server was attentive but appeared to be busier as the evening progressed which delayed the receipt of our checks. We enjoyed small plates and excellent cocktails. Will return.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner at the Pine Room. I had the grilled trout that head on and wonderful. My husband had the charred bone-in rib eye, perfectly cooked. Our server, Mark, was very knowledgeable about the menu and helped suggest sides. We did have the sommelier, Michael, pick a wine for us that was from the area. Again, very knowledgeable of wine history of the area and vineyards. We will go out of our way to eat there when we are back in Roanoke.

Penny was a great waitress. She was very friendly and had the best personality. The food "is the best" (per Penny). Pricing was comparable to similar restaurants I have eaten at. I would recommend!

Can I just say fabulous!!!!! From our server (Penny) to the food it was wonderful. Penny was very helpful and knowledgeable, which made our food choices and wine choices very easy. We started with the meatball and ricotta appetizer and it was delicious, perfect sharable plate. We chose the charred bone-in ribeye for our entrees, which was cooked to a perfect medium, almost melted in your mouth. The smoked blueberry demi was a delicious accompaniment.

We had a great evening at the Pine room, the food was amazing and the service was wonderful! Please don’t hesitate to order the bruschetta’s and the shrimp and scallops risotto, you won’t regret!!!

A very special meal that was delicious and cooked to perfection. We had the pimento appetizer, Pork Chop and Scallop and Shrimp Risotto. We left a little room for Peanut butter pot de crème for dessert. Great service! We will definitely be back.

The Pine Room was a little noisy but the food and the service more than made up for it. My wife and I had a great meal that included a shrimp and scallops dish as well as an oversized pork chop with roasted potatoes. The server was excellent.

This restaurant is in the Hilton Roanoke. We have dined there on many occasions when traveling through town. Sometimes (depending on the specific date) it is very crowded and other times it is moderately full. I always make a reservation in advance. We have always enjoyed our many meals here. We particularly like the fried mushroom appetizer which was not available last night. Apparently they feel that is a “winter” dish. We think it is an anytime dish and quite delicious. We enjoyed the ribeye steak, asparagus, and substituted french fries. The drinks and service were very good,
