When ordering food we were not informed that there were 2 kitchens and that the food could arrive at different times. My husband ordered a pizza which arrived after 10 - 15 mins which was fine but my chicken arrived 30 minutes after he had finished his meal. NOT GOOD ENOUGH PIG'S NOSE !! After chasing my meal twice with the waiter who was rushed off his feet and very apologetic he told me that I should have been warned about the timings when we ordered, seems he forgot. It was very very noisey and people were packed in tightly in the main bar, luckily we were shown to a tiny adjacent snug with 2 tables which was fine. The food was very good but they do need to get their 2 kitchen staff to liaise with one another. I suggested this to the waiter and he said it wasnt possible. I'm sure something could be arranged in this technological age. Avoid unless you ensure your meals are being cooked on the same kitchen.

Thanks for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the food, but we’re sorry your meals didn’t arrive together. Our pizzas come from The Pig Shack, which operates as a separate kitchen to help us offer a wider range of food during busy periods. It can get extremely popular, and occasionally there are delays getting pizzas to tables. We should have explained this when you ordered — we’re working on improving communication so guests know what to expect. We're pleased you found a quieter spot and hope to welcome you back soon.

Characterful pub very busy midweek. Food good and staff friendly and helpful but service slow. Pizza came quickly (15 mins after ordering) followed by nibbles (40 mins after ordering) and other mains 50 mins after ordering. So would recommend but book an early slot.

Thanks for your kind words and helpful feedback. We’re so pleased you enjoyed the food and found the team friendly — we’ll pass that on. You’re right, we can get very busy even midweek, especially with our two kitchens working flat out. Pizzas come from The Pig Shack, which often runs at a different pace to the main kitchen, and we’re working on improving coordination and communication. We really appreciate the recommendation and hope to welcome you back again soon.

Our table was booked for 6.30 and our order was taken quickly....but delivered slowly! 45 minute wait. The meal was okay but a tad overpriced with the samphire missing. The £6 service charge was a bit pushy too. Two meals of pub quality food, two beers and a 175cl glass of wine at over £84 is a bit steep. The beer is always good.

Busy evening but we were made more than welcome and sat at our table. The wait staff were very busy but made us feel welcome and were very patient with our group as we chopped and changed our orders. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed what they had ordered.

This was our second visit. Our meal was exceptional, with good-sized portions, all beautifully presented. We had our two grandchildren with us and they were served promptly with appetising dishes, also in a good portion size. The place was buzzing but the service was still fairly swift and the kids' meals came first, as requested. The decor is quirky and fun, with walls covered in a variety of photos, pictures, and weird objects that give the impression they have been there for years! Overall, a lovely experience and we would definitely go again.

We love the Pigs Nose Inn, great pub, really friendly and in an amazing location. The food was delicious thank you. Special mention to the staff though. It was the day of Prawle Fair, they were all so busy but took time to talk to us and make us feel welcome, excellent service!
