What Insiders Are Saying
A casual new spot near Coors Field downtown, The Pig & Sprout has a wide open bar space and solid American food.
Laid back atmosphere with fantastic service and even better food. Get the Brussel sprouts and bacon candy - you won’t be disappointed.
The food was superb. Service was extremely friendly, helpful and could not have been
been better. We had lunch and then brunch there two days later. The receptionist
remembered us and welcomed us back. Special requests in food preparation were
aptly and creatively fulfilled by the server through the kitchen. There was nothing
they could not work out for us eagerly. When next in Denver we will definitely return
to The Pig and the Sprout. This is now "our" restaurant when we're in town.
We had the nicest waitress and all of the food was really delicious.
went there because I love brussel sprouts and I was not disappointed! We (2 of us) had drinks before and then ordered several "small plates" to share...the drinks were very tasty as was the food. We ordered the bacon candy, smoked wings, street tacos and brussel sprouts. It was almost too much for the two of us...I'd cut back one plate. but that was just us, YMMV.
The service was pretty quick, we were there on a Saturday at 6pm...they were busy. But once the order was in, food was delivered quickly with a smile.
I'd go back...just for the brussel sprouts! One of the best I've found in the city so far...
Food and server were both very good. The wait to have the food delivered was way too long. Food arrived over 50 minutes from when the server placed the order. The place was busy, but not over busy. The compensation from the manager was "sorry".
Six adults fit nicely in their oversized booths and we could hear each other well (unlike 6 at a round, for instance). Everyone enjoyed their lunches. Will most certainly return!
Great place for casual dining. I have several food restrictions and it was very easy for me to find something on the menu for dinner. They also have gf desserts!
Good food! Good service! Great dining experience.
Great food, drinks and service!
The service was great, our server was very helpful and continued to help us even after closing out the check. We did not feel rushed and the atmosphere was great!
Great place! The server was super friendly and helpful. The trout was amazing! The hogger burger was good but could use a bit more sauce. And the brisket poutine was phenomenal as a starter - my only complaint is that it was huge for two people and made us a bit too full for our mains.
This is a cute restaurant with a fairly loud noise level, but it’s not terrible. The food was really good, as were the drinks. My only quasi-issue was with the service. Our server acted like we were inconveniencing him from the get-go. We didn’t make any outrageous requests or ask for any order substitutions or special considerations, but he was impatient and rather condescending in his interactions with us. Everything seemed like a chore. Not sure what was going on, but I did not love the attitude. There are a lot of restaurants in this same vein, with a comparable menu ideology and price point here in Denver, so service is really the differentiator. It makes me not particularly thrilled to go back. I will say that the overall service was pretty good, attitude notwithstanding, in terms of turnaround time for food delivery time, etc. So if you get a different server, chances are you’ll have a really lovely experience.
We were blown away by the flavor of the signature Brussel Sprouts! Great service, low noise, and a wonderful way to celebrate our son’s birthday. We’ll be back!
Made a reservation at 11am and we were seated right away! Jeremy was our server and he was wonderful, very attentive and kept the mimosas flowing! The food was pretty good but took forever to come out. Overall atmosphere is very cool though, will go back!
Compared to the price, the food was average and the service was average.
Many new items on the menu. Always enjoy this place.
We had some friends in town and went to Pig & Sprout for brunch. It started off great and the waiter took our order and gave us great recommendations but that was the last time we saw him. We were never checked in on during the time there. When someone brought over our food, we asked for straws for our drinks. They brought over reusable straws (yay!) and we didn't think anything of it. When we got our bill we saw that we were charged $1.50 a straw? No, it's not that much extra but we found it very odd that no one let us know this up front when we asked for them. Also if I had asked for an extra plate, fork, etc. would I have been charged?
Overall, the food was good but did not make up for the poor service. Will not be back.
Food was wonderful and the mojitos were great! Would definitely come back!
Amazing food and atmosphere! Would definitely go back!
Food is decent, everything was cold. Very expensive, you hate paying for trendy, though out of the box food items not worth the price tag. I won't go back again but good luck to you and your business and I pray that it thrives
Were there for Brunch. Food was super yummy and lots of it. Great ambiance. Would like to try it for breakfast or lunch. Definitely will go back.
Told us they were slammed when we got there but that doesn’t excuse 30 minute wait for appetizers and having to find our waitress to order. Food delivered with no silverware or plates. Another 30-45 min wait for entrees. Disappointing.....
I wanted to like the pig and sprout, but it totally left me wanting more. Noise was high, and food mediocre. There was nothing that left me thinking of coming back again.
We were well taken care of, good was interesting, impressive and satisfying for our 8 folks with very different food interests! Bravo!!
We live in the neigborhood and have come here twice so far. It's a good brunch spot and the drinks and food are good and consistent. Would recommend if you are looking for a not too expensive but good brunch. They also have bottomless mimosas for $15 if people are interested in that.
We met family from out of town. The menu is diverse and all of us enjoyed our food. The small plates are a great option, but the entrees were filling and tasty too.
AMAZING food!! Awesome flavor combinations, great service and welcoming to all (families, singles, everyone).
Came here for Father’s Day and place looked awesome. Unfortunately they took an hour to serve us our food and then the food was okay. It must have stayed under the light too long. I am sad to say we will not be back or be recommending this place. I’ve been to Snooze at all Denver locations and never had a problem. I was hoping these guys would of apologized or comped one of the meals and we got neither.
We enjoyed our recent visit to The Pig & The Sprout for Father's day brunch before a Rockies game. Love the ambiance of the restaurant, and the location was great for walking to the game afterwards.
We had a hard time deciding what to order as so many of the dishes sounded so good. Two of the four in our group are vegan, so it is a great spot for those with different diets. Three of the four of us were very pleased with our dishes. My son's vegan dish lacked seasoning and he said it was a little bland. It was a tofu dish. It would have been nice if they had some hot sauce on the table as it is Denver and we tend to like a little spice. My son was going to ask for hot sauce, but by the time our server returned to see how things were, he was pretty much finished. I liked my crab cake benedict, but I will try something else next time as there were other options that sounded very good too. You know how you go to a restaurant for the first time and try a dish that is so great that you can't order anything else on the menu? That wasn't the case for any of us here, but there are other great tasting options I want to give a try.
Service was only so so. Our server was very friendly and great when she was there, but I had to wait a really long time for a drink. I ordered my drink with food and my drink came after everyone else's food came.
The beer, cocktail and wine menu was good and creative. Everyone liked their drinks. We only had one each, but they were good.
I would go again, and I would recommend to a friend with a caveat that while good for a neighborhood place, it is not a destination spot. But I will be back if the occasion arises as it is a good spot for our family with mixed diet needs. Plus there were other things on the menu that sounded great. I would also like to try the dinner menu.
We were in town to take in a Rockies game and were looking for a place that had good food and good atmosphere. The Pig and Sprout was suggested by a friend that raises their own beef, and The P&S did not disappoint! We had the candied bacon and carnitas street tacos followed by the brisket French dip...it was delicious. The wait team was outstanding and it seemed like they magically appeared every time my glass got close to being empty. I would highly recommend the P&S as a great place to go.
we had such an amazing time at the Pig and the Sprout! My nephew got the bagel sandwich and my sister got the chicken and waffles, both truly enjoyed their meals and taking home their metal straws to save the environment!
They have a lot of gluten free options, and a really good ambiance. The decor is neat, and it would be a fun place to go grab a drink and apps. We all ordered different apps and entrees and but no one in our party thought the flavor of the entrees was very good. Wouldn't go back for the food.
Service was really, REALLY slow. We were seated upstairs and the fact that none of the beers my table ordered were available in the upstairs bar and the wait staff had to keep going downstairs to get our beers added to the slowness of service. Our food arrived to our table stone cold, but since we had already waited so long we decided to just suck it up.
Love the new items added to the menu, but we always go back for the ribs. We've noticed the quality of the ribs is not as good as it was 6-12 months ago.
What a lovely experience
My friend and I stopped in for an early dinner before seeing the Rockies game. The proximity to Coors Field and the menu were our two biggest draws to Pig & Snout. We arrived at 5pm on a Saturday and found the restaurant only about a third full. If you're going later in the evening, I'd recommend a reservation because by 6pm, it was getting full.
Drinks and food came out quickly. The portions were large and the food was tasty. I'd recommend the brussel sprouts. I had shrimp tacos...they weren't bad, but they weren't outstanding. The corn was really good too. My friend had the green chili soup/chili and he liked it a lot. Atmosphere, service, value, and overall experience were all good.
Always good, unique fare.
Decent overall value but nothing to write home about. Great staff!
I would give a 5 star but you guys started pressing the hamburger making them not as juicy. Best fries in town. Good drinks.
We loved breakfast appetizers. Candied bacon and donut holes. Service was amazing
