What Insiders Are Saying
A casual new spot near Coors Field downtown, The Pig & Sprout has a wide open bar space and solid American food.
VERY disappointing in that their website explcitly states that their Happy Hour (prices and items) were EVERY day, including weekends. Turns out NOT to be true when you actually get to the restaurant. HH is only Mon-Fri, and no HH food, and VERY limited drinks.
When we asked the waitress about this she shrugged and said "well thats the web site" (whatever that means).
I mean if they can't even keep their website up-to-date, how well is the kitchen run?
Had the best server ever. She made the visit great.
Great little brunch spot, friendly staff and tasty food.
A decent "neighborhood" spot for whatever the new area behind Union Station is called. Not really a destination restaurant, but I'd probably go there frequently if I lived nearby. And many people do.
Menu could use expansion. For a pork-centric restaurant, I'd like more options!
We were looking for a place that served Vegetarian Poutine and happened upon this restaurant. We had every intention of just getting the poutine and a beer but looking at their menu we also got the grilled cheese and caprese verde. All 3 dishes we ate were amazing!! We will definitely be returning!
Friendly service, extremely nice, and the food was amazing!! Great drinks and food prices. This is definitely on my permanent brunch list!!
I really enjoyed my first experience here and had a great table by the window. There were some gaps in service, although our waiter was very nice. My food came out wrong item the first time, so it had to be redone, and we were running low on time before the game.
Drinks are pricey, but overall, it is a place I’ll go to again for its vegan choices.
Fun spot! Interesting food and excellent set.
I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant. However we got placed in the bar area next to a massive TV and when we asked to move we were told downstairs was only for those who had reservations.. but we made reservations. Then the women at the front proceeded to tell me that it was because we were only a party of two not four or more.. but we were put at a 4 person table and many the open tables we wanted were also four person. They also offered us nothing for this inconvenience and said we might be able to move us later, which they did not do. The food and drinks were definitely priced pretty high and there food to me was pretty average. We really thought this place was going to be fun and good quality from photos and reviews. However, after visiting we would not recommend this place and do not plan to go back.
Food was delicious, drink was delicious. It took a really long time to get our food from the time we ordered, maybe 40 minutes. I recommend this restaurant if you have time to hang out.
It was freat
The Pig & Sprout is one of our favorite weekend brunch places as the food and service are excellent. The "Sprout" side of the menu has lighter options with some of our favs being Tofu Scramble, Avocado Bowl, Crab Benny and Mushroom Omelet. Grandma Maes Brisket Benny on the "Pig" side of the menu is excellent as well. Shout out to Landon who makes every visit a pleasure!!
Loved everything about it and looking forward to another great brunch in the future
Every thing we ordered was delicious! Even ordered off the vegetarian plate and it was yum! You can't go wrong at The Pig and The Sprout
The vibe of this place is so unique and everything was outstanding from the service to the food and drinks. I HIGHLY recommend this place - you can’t go wrong!
Ok-ish, for lunch. The Crab Pad Thai was rather bland ~ pasta a touch over cooked and not much crab. The menu looks fun and it seemed promising, but execution was lacking. I would give it another try however with another menu selection.
Outstanding! Everything was delicious and very unique, hope to return soon.
A diverse and exceptional menu. Food quality is very good.
Always a favorite
We had a great dinner with friends at this fine restaurant. Loved the appetizers and the main courses. Our server, Hillary, was excellent. Highly recommend.
A friend and I visited for Denver Restaurant Week; it came highly recommended. I was pretty disappointed. For the 1st course I had the brussel sprouts, which were delicious, but each had to be cut in four to get a bite-sized portion. Hard to eat. My friend and I split our second courses. I had the pork chop, which was tasty but came out cold. The potatoes au gratin were really good. My friend got the short ribs with some sort of purée that was flavorless. The short ribs were tender but lacked flavor. And dessert was a fail all around. My friend got the chocolate mousse which she described as reminiscent of the jello pudding we ate as children. I ordered the poppyseed cake, which was actually a toasted piece of bread. It was awful, with the exception of the pear garnish. Overall the meal was subpar at best. Service was awesome, but we left feeling underwhelmed.
The food was amazing and so was the service from Heather. Thank you.
Cool restaurant design/atmosphere, but the food was pretty mediocre. Only dish that was tasty was the chili cheese fries and it had a piece of plastic in it. Was really hoping this would be a solid spot but was very disappointed
A delightful place for lunch.
I planned a surprise birthday party for my girlfriend and I couldn’t be happier with the accommodations that The Pig & Sprout did for us. The service was great. Food and cocktails out of this world. Definitely recommend the street corn!
I have been wanting to try this place for the last year and finally had the chance to go, it did not disappoint! Everything was delicious and I can't wait to go back and try something else! I love that there are healthy options that taste amazing, and LOTS of them!
Nice restaurant. The menu had some interesting choices. Everything we ordered was delicious.
The pig and the sprout is amazing. The vibe is great, its beautiful inside, all the food is great! The service is beyond amazing. AND they dont use plastic straws anymore so good on them!
I always love coming to this restaurant. Between the excellent quality of food, both the vegetarian and meat options (we added pulled pork to the green chili poutine, which I highly recommend), thoughtful service and delicious drinks (maple bourbon old fashioned is perfection), I couldn't be happier with this place!
Meh, just meh
Great food great service. We’ll be back.
My son and I were in town staying at the Indigo around the corner. He being vegetarian and me not, and us looking for a low-hassle dinner after a long day, this place for the bill perfectly. Service was prompt and friendly and food was tasty and reasonable. Highly recommend.
The 80s music was a bit intense at 9:30 in the morning.
Loved that the menu had something for everyone. No worries about meeting dietary restrictions. The bacon candy was very yummy and the sprouted grilled cheese hit the spot. My husband said his ribs were some of the best restaurant ribs he has had.
Great food, ambience and service.
We had a large group of 13, and they were very accommodating to our party. They had wide variety of options, the staff was friendly, the food was fantastic and the drinks were spot on! Great spot!
The appetizers and cocktails were delicious, but our dinner took 40 minutes to arrive at the table and it was disappointing at best, especially compared to the small plates we had enjoyed earlier in the evening.
Food/ambiance/service are all excellent. Location is ideal and at the corner making access very easy. Service staff super helpful and extremely accommodating. Frankie and Jay-Jay went above and beyond! Will definitely go back again.
Small restaurant with limited space for larger group reservations. Layout for larger parties a little challenging.
restaurant was packed during brunch on a Saturday so the noise level was high, but that is to be expected. Great place overall!
We had not heard of this wonderful downtown eating and drinking spot. We had good food, service and drinks on a Saturday afternoon
