Our first time dining at the Pier House and it was outstanding. The food, the outside atmosphere, and our helpful and engaging waitress combined to make it a great night out. We will be back.

Great restaurant. Extremely noisy. Ordered the Sea Bass and it was bad and had to send it back. PH balance leaves a lot to be desired for $45.

The Pier House is a tasty place to eat. The lamb tenderloin dish -- not often seen on menus -- was exceptional. Desserts, like the "pistachio copa" and "Manhattan truffle" were stellar. Both are ice cream dishes. The PH's "French toast martini" was fantastic.

A word of CAUTION: do not sit outside -- the mosquitos will join you for your meal and you will be theirs!

Also, a BIG thank you to the hostess for re-seating us far from a table of 10-12 people. Too loud to be near.

Visted the Pier house this past weekend and would highly recommend it. Had an excellent meal and the service was outstanding. Amy was so attentive, knowledgable and bubbly. The ph Balance-Surf & Turf was out of this world...I can't wait to go back again!

I have been to the pier house numerous times, sitting inside. Monday we sat outside and while it was nice the seagulls were vicious. My boyfriend was in the men's room when the food was delivered, and a seagull swooped down and almost took the top of his meal. I did notice they attempted to steal other diners meals.

I always have to convince my friends to sit outside...don't always succeed. Well I did on Saturday night and they were thrilled. Thrilled with the ambiance, service (Amanda is fabulous) and of course the food. Just great!

We typically go to the Pier house for breakfast, but decided to try dinner there this weekend. The food was amazing! We all were very happy with the service, food and atmosphere.

This restaurant has excellent food & service. They have alot to choose from on their menu. My husband got the swordfish & I chose the mahi mahi. Both were fantastic! The types of the sauce they used only enhanced the flavor of the fish & didnt overpower it. The portion size was perfect and a reasonable price for high quality food. If we lived close by we would go frequently. My husband is gluten free and the server had no problem suggesting what he could eat off the menu. We both loved the food and if your in town its a great place to eat.

This is our favorite restaurant in Cape May. For breakfast, lunch or dinner or in-between. The food is imaginative, well prepared and they seem to actually teach the servers how to serve. It has a patio overlooking the street and dunes, so the view us about as good as it gets at the beach in Cape May. Not cheap, but value for quality. The Greek chef has been here for a number of years (maybe owner?), and has gotten slightly more flexible about altering dishes to suit over time. His approach is rather unique in his use of local ingredients and imported Greek foods prepared with unusual spicing. One or two specials may sound familiar, but usually are a bit surprising, pleasantly so. Popular bar, but we haven't made use of that yet.

High end, beautifully prepared Greek influence restaurant in charming Cape May NJ. Try the Watermelon Feta Salad , Bronzino or Lamb Shank. Excellent service, reasonably priced. Outdoor seating with ocean view. Fantastic!

Best thing about Pier House was the server Lucy. She was very warm yet professional. The lump crab and avocado appetizer was very good but my filet Mignone was only fair and my wife's veal was fatty and taste was only OK. Will pass up this restaurant on next trip to Cape May.

We had early reservations. The serving staff was cheerful, knowledgeable about the menu and very efficient. The olive bread and hummus was wonderful. My husband had the grilled octopus which was prepared perfectly and the accompanying mini Greek salad was fabulous. I started off with the crab and avocado mangotini. It was beautiful, unique and delicious. For our main courses, my husband had the sea bass and I had the swordfish. Both were cooked well and we loved the Greek twist on some of our favorite dishes. Sadly, I was too full to sample the delicious looking desserts. We thought the portions were good and the price very reasonable for the quality of our dinner. We enjoyed our experience so much that we returned the next night.

Awesome! This was our first time at the Pier House but it won't be our last. Food was so good and our waitress was very attentive and answered all our questions without any hesitation. I loved sitting outside. The decor was so well done and had such a homey feeling. The web recommended salmon and that is what we ordered. Absolutely delicious! We will be back and soon!

Very comfortable excellent food and wine selections. Service was excellent. Whole fish bronzing and red snapper were done in a very eat-friendly style. Nice, quiet ambience. Was our favorite over the 4 days spent at Cape May. Will definitely go there again.

We Enjoyed our meals very much. Inventive cocktails to start. Crabmeat appetizer is presented beautifully and tastes wonderful. I had the olive appetizer - which was a bit too much for one person.
I enjoyed the bronzino dispite the overcharring. My husband had swordfish which was well cooked and presented well.
Wine was good. An ejoyable evening.

I had the fried flounder all you could taste was fried flour , could not even taste the flounder at all . It was cooker too much and soaked in flour terrible. I should have sent it back but did not want to create a scene , there were people all around. It was not seasoned and no salt and pepper on the table . What restaurant has no salt and pepper on the table and then asked for it and got it half was through.

My wife and I took my parents to the Pier House to celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary. Found the restaurant to open and airy, with a Mediterranean feel. The food was spectacular. especially the Watermelon & Feta cheese salad. We also had fresh oysters, served appropriately chilled. Everyone raved about their entrees, which were sufficiently portioned to take home another meal. Prices we in line with what one expect to pay for fine dinning on the beach in Cape May, but once you factor in portion size, I would describe the pricing as "reasonable". The service was impeccable. Overall the Pier House provides an excellence dining experience.

We try to go to the Pier House every time we are in Stone Harbor. A bit expensive, though food is among the best on the Jersey Shore. Sometimes almost too noisy. Becomes difficult to carry on a dinner conversation when the place is packed.

All in all, we love it.

Very busy on a Sat. p.m.....but when we did get to our table had wonderful service...and wine was gratis as we had to wait....we were treated to an engagement...on his knees and all! Very noisy, but excellent food....am sure it's less so when the outside dining is available. Not sure if we'll ever get back to Cape May, but if so, we'll certainly put this restaurant on our list! We have suggested it to others.

While the noise level was a little high in the dining room when we arrived, it got better as the night went on. Nice selection of choices, good wine list, great presentation of meals and the food was very good! Very comfortable room and nice mix of customers. It wasn't your usual Cape May crowd - might have more to do with the time of year than anything else. Can't remember our waiters name, a man about 40 or so, but service was excellent!! When leaving for the evening, we went through the bar and there was a very lively scene in that room that looked like a lot of fun. Would definitely return and plan on doing so this summer.

This was always one of our favorites in Cape May but this time, maybe because it was "off season", wasn't as good as we remember it. Everything was just OK except the service which as always was wonderful. We will be back but like I said the salmon was overcooked and my husbands steak was also overcooked. The asparagus were as big as tree branches and very undercooked. So like you can see was so hit or miss with everything. OH and the bread and hummus was delicious. We will go there again and give it another try. Waiter was terrific!!

The menu offers so many variables, every one of which we have tasted has been truly delicious and delightful in presentation. The wait staff is well-versed in their kitchen's capability and is most thoughtful and considerate when it comes to the diner's likes or dislikes. Your dining pleasure is obviously important to the establishment.

Excellent Greek-oriented food; pretty interior; quiet even with a family party going on. Varied menu; octopus appetizer excellent and lots of "meat"; bronzino slightly over-cooked and perhaps waiter should have de-boned it, but quite tasty. have recommended it highly to our tenants of our rental unit for the summer.

All 6 of us enjoyed our meals. The appetizers alone are worth the trip! We all had fish dishes and each dish was well prepared and a generous portion. The sea bass may have been the favorite dish after taste testing, but every meal was tasty and would be recommended. Looking forward to our next visit!
