One of my favorite dining spots in Cake May - food is consistently good and service is excellent .
Pier House has a cheerful and open feel to the dining room and a relaxing bar. The menu has some Greek and Greek influenced dishes. In the summer you can eat outside, across the street from the ocean. Off season there is limited opening, only weekends. The food is very good but I would like more Greek dishes and definitely some Greek wine on the menu. The octupus starter with a shot of ouzo was outstanding.
A true go to for a consistently great meal at any time of day. A deep varied menu is featured. Comfortable modern room with huge glass to dune view. The patio is semi secluded from street and hotel due to thoughtful landscaping. Enjoy this stop every time.
Always a perfectly prepared meal along with
Delicious and tasty quality!
Never better! The food is always AMAZING! I can't wait to see what the future will bring. See you next summer.
We had a great night. The cocktails at the bar were substantial, and the food was delicious.
wait staff was pleasant.
Food was very good, authentic Greek dishes. Our waitress was attentive and the atmosphere was enjoyable.
Second time dining there. Excellent seafood. Great service.
There is no piers in sight of this establishment! It is directly at the Beach and one mile from my house. The Mediteranean influence is obvious and provides a pleasant option to the typical cuisines of the NJ seashore menues. We also went there for breakfast a few weeks ago and it was great!
Excellent all around great food service, generous portions, excellent choices and affordable wine list
Heard a lot about the place. Did not realize the strong Greek influence in the cuisine (one of our favorite cuisines mind you). Had the Cesar salad and Calamari as an appetizer, large portion Calamari came with 3 fabulous dipping sauces. I had the Ahi Tuna steak and my wife had the Lamb shank, both delicious and large portions. Server was pleasant, knowledgeable and very attentive. Only downside was an unusually long gap between appetizer and main course (though not super busy from what we could see for a Saturday night). Ended up filling up on bread during the gap, ate just at a small portion of our entrees and took the balance home. Would eat here again! Maybe just a busy night in the kitchen.
The salmon was amazing! A bit expensive for my usual tastes, but very very good. I didn't care for the peanut butter bomb for dessert, but that's because I don't like peanuts in creamy desserts.
The popcorn chicken for kids was really cute.
The food is Greek/Mediterranean. We split an appetizer, seared spicy scallops. It had a delicious avacado cilantro-lime, Pineapple sauce with it. They complimented each other.
In would also recommend the Pork chop with pears in balsamic glaze & salmon with roasted asparagus, Yukon golds, reisling shiitake cream. Very tasty and good portions.
We had a great meal and excellent service. Interesting menu will definitely have us return to try the ones we skipped this time. Nice wine cellar selections with a reasonable markup.
Our meal was fabulous and they have a great wine list.
The food was very good
Our waiter was very knowledge about the menu and their ingredients.
Would highly recommend this restaurant and cant wait to go back to
Cape May for dinner.
food mediocre but generous servings...very noisy place
My Husband and I were celebrating our 40th Wedding Anniversary on Oct 2nd and we picked the Pier House because of location and we are so glad we did. Had a wonderful dinner. Thank you
Our go to restaurant in Cape May! Have never been disappointed! I had 1/2 dozen oysters on the half shelf and the spicy seared scallops which had a beautiful presentation! My husband had the flash fried flounder! Everything was fresh and delicious! We shared the creme brûlée cheesecake for dessert which was outstanding! The service was excellent! We truly enjoyed this dinner which was in celebration of our 48th wedding anniversary!
My wife and I had a very nice dinner here. She had the Chicken Souvlaki, I had Chicken and
Pasta ( paccheri pasta, chicken, chick peas, andouille sausage, spinach, tomato basil cream, kasseri .) We topped of the meal with a Triple Mousse Dome ( creamy, chocolatey, but not
overly sweet ) and coffee ( their cappuccino machine wasn't working . ) While the food was
delicious and we loved the decor, the general sound level was pretty high, I think mostly due to
the fact we were in a corner and the sound was bouncing off the walls. We'll be back the next time we're in Cape May ( but we'll stay away from the corner tables )
