This was the very first visit for my wife and myself. We took along two friends, one of whom was celebrating his 70th birthday. Unfortunately, it's unlikely we shall go back as the service was quite slow and, whilst the quality of the food was fine, the prices charged were very high for the quantities served. It's a shame as the venue promised much.

Service was very slow although the restaurant area was nowhere near full. One of our party chose the ribs. They had little flavour, sparse marinade and were considerably more expensive than in similar establishments. We decided to forego dessert as it would probably have meant another long wait. Will not be going back.

Fab! This is my local, but I rarely dine in the restaurant. The food was wonderful. Service and staff friendly and presentation was great. Recommended.

You cancelled our 3pm booking, so why email us to ask how it was, as we had to re-bbok for 6pm direct with the pub. Very poor customer relations. Peter Briggs

Our drinks order was taken when we arrived but they did not arrive until after we had got our starters and we had to remind them. Main course was ok. too much meat and too few vegs.

Nice little restaurant, however service wasn't great, chicken terrine was difficult to identify as being chicken, fish a little overcooked, steak very bland and could have done with a choice of accompanying sauces - food was just ok. Wine was served in some kind of plastic carrier bag which leaked water all over the table - that needs a rethink!
