THE PICK RESTAURANT is the new gathering spot at 1 S Prospect Avenue, in Park Ridge. THE PICK features an American traditional menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and a full bar, seven days a week. This neighborhood eatery seats one hundred guests and a private room seats an additional forty-five diners or provides the perfect location for a private party or business event. THE PICK’S prime location makes it a favored choice for theater goers at the renovated Pickwick Theatre.

THE PICK aspires to be a true hometown restaurant, and in an effort to support this goal, THE PICK plans to partner with local businesses and to support local organizations and charities on an ongoing basis. Look for teas from Tea Lula, vegetables and fruits from Garden on the Run, Dinner and a Show deals with The Pickwick Theatre, and a consistent effort to partner with other Park Ridge businesses and organizations to support the vibrancy of the local economy.

The food was excellent. My husband had the steak, and I had the mahi mahi special. We tried a few of the special cocktails on the menu, and they were all delicious. The atmosphere--being in a terrific historic building is great as well. Parking is on the street, but it is not really an issue.

Good menu, good food (loved the crab cakes, brisket and roast chicken) and good service - we enjoy The Pick and will continue coming back

The Pick is the best new restaurant in downtown Park Ridge! The food is always amazing. The calamari appetizer is cooked perfectly and they add some fried pickles to it for an extra twist! The burgers are unbelievable, and you can 'build your own' to suit your taste/ mood. Salads are fresh and yummy. We recently went for my son's birthday, and they treated him extra special. The service is impeccable! The entire staff is super attentive and friendly!!! It is a little pricey, but worth it for a special time.

We should have left right after entering the restaurant. We walked in and there were two tables of people. We waited for the hostess and when she came to seat us she was pleasant at best. After waiting five minutes our server approached the table to ask for our drink order. Apparently the staff likes to stand in front of the kitchen window and talk with each other and the cooks. We ordered and for an appetizer decided to get the tater tots. There were only two table of guests at that time. The hostess dropped the tater tots off, at the wrong table. Then proceeded to go back to talking with our waitress, the bus boy and kitchen staff. We figured it out ourselves with the other table. The food arrived and was okay. The service was simply awful. Not worth the journey. We realized why this restaurant was so empty on a Thursday night when all others were busy. We will NOT go back.

My family and I had a delicious Irish meal served buffet style - complete with corned beef and cabbage, mashed potatoes. The special Shamrock Surprise cocktail was a perfect pairing.

This was our second visit to the restaurant, this time with our kids. The service and food was excellent. The chicken wings fell right off the bone and were incredible. I had the pot pie this time and it was very tasty. Highly recommend this restaurant. They definitely have it down now after being open a few months.

Was a little nervous about taking friends here for the first time after reading the mixed reviews but we were pleasantly surprised. We started with the calamari which we all enjoyed. 2 members of our party ordered the chicken pot pie which both enjoyed and commented on the large amount of white chicken in the pie. A friend and I shared the schmidt burger which I would order again and the pick salad which was also good. For a Saturday night, it wasn't that busy and we were seated right away. The server was friendly and service was quick and efficient. We would definitely go back and recommend to others.

Tried the Schmidt Burger for the first time in honor of late mayor Dave Schmidt. Very good along with the tater-tots and Pick-loaded fries!
