Interesting dishes you won't find anywhere else. Loved my entree of curry goat-- amazing! My husband really enjoyed his bolognese sauce and ricotta pasta. Ambiance was nice, our waitress was very knowledgable and engaged. Loved that it is farm to table. The salad was amazing- from Cape Abilities down the road-- so fresh!
This was our second time at The Pheasant, the first time being our rehearsal dinner. We came back for our one year anniversary. We can't possibly stress how amazing this place is. Erica and Adam, the owners, are kind and generous and have done an outstanding job since they took over ownership 2 years ago.
The food is farm to table, and as a result is so fresh, nothing quite compares. The menu may seem small, but you are guaranteed to find something you'll love!
This was our first time to the Pheasant. The service was excellent. The ambiance was good. We were hoping for a lit fireplace as there was a storm out. (It was only 50 degrees so we understood but they do have the fireplace as the first photo 🤔) I had the Hanger steak and it was absolutely delicious. My wife had the Halibut. The fish was fabulous. The potatoes needed a little more time to cook. We will be back for sure.
Food was excellent, although menu is rather limited. Items were unique in presentation and visually appealing. My companion commented on unique seasonings used in the dishes. Our primary server was outstanding. However, the food runner could have been better trained. For example, side dishes should have been provided with shared appetizers. As the restaurant got busier (although it was far from a rush), multiple staff ended up serving dessert and coffee. Another companion commented that at least five different people approached our table during service.
Both couples shared a salad with their partner. Our server brought the two salads and placed them in front of the women. No attempt was made to either divide the salads in the kitchen or provide extra plates. We had to use our bread and butter plates in order to share. The food, however, was very tasty and all four of us enjoyed our entree.
My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our recent dinner at The Pheasant. The new owners are offering a more contemporary, farm-to-table focused menu than the old Red Pheasant restaurant. My salad couldn't have been more fresh and delicious, and the excellent cavatelli bolognese was just the right portion size. My friends gave their dishes high marks as well. I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
This is one of my favorite restaurants on the Cape! The food is always delicious, but almost more importantly, it's always interesting. They use local ingredients in elevated ways, which is one reason that I go back as often as I can. When guests come to visit, I can't help but gush about the owners and the food and the cocktail menu to the point that, of course, we have to go!
Don't miss the smoked blue fish pate if they have it, but you pretty much can't go wrong :)

Couldn't have asked for a better restaurant to open in the area. It is awesome to be able to enjoy high quality food that is not your typical Cape fish fry restaurant. The wine list, drinks and ambiance are just the tip of the ice berg here, with a very unique menu that the chef executes on point. They also have great events they have been putting on. I have already been here a couple of times, and plan to go back.

We started off with great service! Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. The menu could use more vegetarian and vegan options. Even though I eat meat sometimes it's nice to have lighter menu items. My husband ordered the duck confit with a cheese fondue and fingerlings in duck fat. Sounds decadent but the duck was so dry and disappointing. They shaved raw onion on top that just didn't make any sense. I had the monkfish, which I enjoyed very much. The gnocchi was light and fluffy and the red sauce was delicious. My father had the clam pasta and he said it was very tasty. Overall the food was yummy! We ended with peaches and cream dessert and the affogato. Perfect end!
One of the best meals I have had. Drinks were also imaginative and delicious. Enjoyed speaking with the bartender and owner. We had a wonderful evening.
As usual, the food and service were great! We had to wait about 20 minutes past our reservation time, but the place was busier than expected. Our server, Joselito, was friendly and attentive. Appetizers, the field salad and daily crudo - Halibut, were delicious. My wife raved about the Cavatelli Bolognese and I thoroughly enjoyed the Curried Goat...Go for the goat! We had a nice zinfandel with our meal. The house made vanilla ice cream was forgettable. My wife did question the $2.00 charge for ice in my cocktail. Is it really that big of a pour? Not to worry, we'll be back!

First time back under the new owners. Very interesting menu with recipes you wouldn’t typically make at home.
My wife and I attended a class on oysters here last winter, but didn't get a chance to return for dinner until this last Friday. The restaurant was sold to a young couple two summers ago, and they transitioned it from a dated but venerable Cape institution to a modern and hip restaurant. The place has a great vibe, with a nice bar area and dining room. The ingredients for the menu are all sourced locally, and everything was fresh and clean. We started with oysters and a great smoked bluefish pâté, and I had an outstanding special of halibut with a sweet potato puree. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. My wife said this was one of her top two dinners on the Cape, which given our predilection toward dining out, is no small honor. I think the new owners came from Brooklyn, and everything they did seems to be working together to make a great dining experience. The Cape is full of dated seafood restaurants and clam shacks that offer little exciting of new in cuisine. The Pheasant was a breath of fresh air in Cape Cod dining.

The Peasant is a wonderful dinning experience! Great creative food choices and excellent wine and cocktails. The atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. More like going to a party that dinning out. I love it!

What a delightful meal! Everything we had was excellent. My husband loved the crispy ribs with zhug and curried goat. The halibut was delicious. The young owners were lovely, personable and friendly. We’ll be back!

We brought close friends who were visiting to the Pheasant. The wine, appetizers , and main courses were perfect. We even made room for dessert! We often eat here by ourselves as well. No big occasion needed!
Super friendly and fast service and down to earth staff. Excellent food. We were 60mins earlier they put a table in the bar area for us so we could be seated right away. They offered us extra Oysters as there were extras left from a function. The server made a mistake in our order and they took the price of that dish off. We were very impressed by the hospitality and quality of the food!
