Welcome to Geelong's oldest pub the Petrel Hotel!
We are a food focused pub and restaurant offering generous and genuine hospitality from the walls of a historic building.
Head chef Molly Fuge brings local and international flavours together with classic pub dishes like the signature Chicken Schnitzel with Garlic Butter and Slaw, The Petrel Cheeseburger and Lemon Herb Crumbed Snapper + Chips. Oysters shucked to order with pomegranate granita and perfect Steaks from local producers await you!

First visit here yesterday and was very impressed. All of us (4) very much enjoyed our meals, drinks and service. I had the roast, and although not exactly traditional, was still delicious. We will be back for sure!

We had a group of 9 last night we all had great meals and service snitzel was the stand out as expected we had been recommended to try it Warm and cosy with the log fire Highly recommend and will be back

Fantastic experience. Had wanted to go for ages, and heard great things. It did not disappoint. Went with my work friends and we all got the schnitzel with chips and coleslaw, highly recommend. The atmosphere was great, the fit out of the hotel is so well done. The staff were friendly. I will definitely be back.

Great night out with the work team. We were very impressed with the friendly and fast service. Food was excellent and the restaurant had a great vibe.

Very noisy dining environment. Music pounding and inappropriate for dining. Meals good quality but very slow to arrive. People arriving after us were served before us.

The weekend roast was poor quality meat, slightly undercooked, very chewy and greens very tough. My partners lamb rump with beans was fine.

This is the second time we have eaten here in 2 days whilst holidaying in Geelong. An extensive menu both for sharing or having individual meals, the menu is varied and versatile. The staff were excellent, definitely worth a visit.

They were so lovely at the Petrel Hotel- accommodating us at the last-minute on Mother's Day. Food was delicious!
