Wonderful ding experience
great food, service and homemade cakes. Its well worth a trip
Always reliable and tasty. The meals are memories of restaurant favorites from my youth...crab imperial, oyster stew, sirloin tips...everything easy as could be. One of the best chocolate cakes anywhere...yummy. Drinks are well priced. What's not to like?
We hadn't been to the Peppermill for awhile. The menu seemed to have changed, but did have a good variety of choices all of which were very good. Our waitress was attentive. All in all we really enjoyed it.
Fried calamari was excellent. A definite must order. Beef tips stroganoff were okay. Tasty but heavy on the pasta. Could have been more meat and less pasta. Overall, a good, filling wholesome meal. Not gourmet but good food.
I was pretty disappointed. The food was not great. The prices weren’t high but the food still wasn’t worth it. Ordered the cream of crab soup, lobster roll, salmon, chocolate cake, creek brûlée. None were worth going back for. Sorry. The waitress was fine.
Always heard about Peppermill. Loved it. Will go back.
This time every part of our meal was outstanding. The appetizers of a wedge salad and the cream of crab soup were both excellently prepared. Our main courses of fried oysters and the Cajun catfish were delicious and my dessert of chocolate cake with butter cream icing was the best I have ever had. My wife's key lime pie was also a treat. Our waitress Liz provided us with friendly, courteous service.
Food could have been hotter. Delicious, but lukewarm.
A friend was visiting from California
Always reliable, affordable & delicious.
I gave the food five stars, which it was except for the appetizers. The Maryland crab soup did not have enough spices (Old Bay) for my taste and the beet salad was mostly baby spinach leaves. The main courses of seafood platter and egg plant parmesan were excellent. The desserts, key lime pie and a hot fudge sundae, recommended by our outstanding waitress Maureen, were a wonderful way to end our meal.
Excellent food and service
I was really disappointed. I’ve been coming to The Peppermill for years and this has to be the worst meal there I’ve ever had. What made it particularly sad was the fact that I was introducing a young friend to the restaurant. I
I ordered the cream of crab soup - and it was practically inedible..there was way too much starch; I might like my cream of crab thick but the flour overwhelmed the crab. ( I have since returned and a friend ordered the cream of crab with the same results. He barely ate half.). The imperial crab was better but the spicing needs to be adjusted - here again the crab was obscured. It’s delicate - so let it speak for itself.
The Peppermill has long been a go-to place. I’ll have to think twice before I return.
Excellent on all counts as always. Prime Rib fantastic!!
Excellent as usual.
Came early. All good, as always
Food was well prepared and attractively prepared. Servers and staff were friendly and knowledgable.
Excellent as always. Connie was outstanding
I was originally supposed to go with 2 girlfriends and one of their sons. After numerous postponements, I finally just went by myself. The service was quick and efficient. The food came within 10 minutes of ordering. I got the meatloaf with mashed potatoes. The serving portion was ample, 3 slices of meatloaf and one scoop of mashed potatoes. I was in and out in 40 minutes. That suited me just fine.
We always enjoy the food and atmoshere at the Peppermill. Great place to gather with family.
Excellent as usual!
Always delicious food with good value
Very good food excellent service
tried and true, and this time the advantage of Restaurant Week special that provided dinner the next day! Would love to have a better choice of a Rose' wine, but just fine all in all. Easy to get to, easy to park, noise level such that one can talk to table mate, and not freezing. It all works.
We have been going to The Peppermill for many years, and have previously enjoyed numerous dinners there, until this past Tuesday. This time we were invited as guests to have dinner during “Baltimore Restaurant Week” in which The Peppermill was a participating.
Once we were seated in the Bar area, and had ordered our meals, we soon realized our waitress had forgotten to bring the appetizers three of us had ordered only a few minutes earlier.
The cream of crab soup I ordered had the consistency of wall paper paste, was very bland, and contained very little crab meat. The claims casino one of ordered was overcooked to the pint that the claims were virtually tasteless.
The “jumbo” soft shell crabs the three if us had ordered, were anything but “jumbo” in size, and to make matters worse, were mushy and rather bland in taste.
There were other small somewhat iterating things our waitress did, but all in all, it was anything but an enjoyable meal for us, for which we felt very bad for our hosts who had to pay for it.
Perhaps this was just a bad night for The Peppermill, but after this weeks’s bad dining experience there, it will be a long time before the four of us will try The Peppermill again for dinner, if at all!
Went with friends We loved everything
Been there a lot
Waitresses are friendly
Always get a good meal. Consistent and not noisy. I frequent it because the food is good and service is also very good.
Excellent, friendly service. Good Prix Fixe menu for lunch or dinner. Standard, reliable selections. Very nice portions. Traditional, tasty desserts. Very nice lunch option.
Our waitress Anna is wonderful
The host was not great and we almost left but once seated the service and food was good. Train your from office staff better.
Hadn’t been here for years until visit several wks ago. Enjoyed so much just returned with another grp of friends. Table placement request was honored, seated upon arrival plus professional and friendly service. Like the prix fixe options and everyone enjoyed their selections.
Pre-fixe options are perfect. Great food and great service!
Reliable,consistent, value for dollar,friendly,and accommodating
All this and more the Peppermill is what we expected from a restaurant for years.
They deliver a good meal fairly priced with great service.
Forget about the geriatric jokes you will be comfortable and well fed. If you need an ‘experience ‘ to remember try this you can actually talk to your fellow diners and not have to shout over the din. A good meal and a good time with friends and family - that is a great dining experience
We had not been to The Peppermill in quite awhile and were happy to find it still the same as we remembered. The service was outstanding and the food was excellent. We plan on dining at The Peppermill more often.
Our server was slow and inattentive
Food is just like Mother used to make. Or typically Eastern Shore. We have never been disappointed. Waitresses are most accomodating. This week we stopped in wine!!
Group four senior guys get together quarterly. 3 of 4 of us have not had dinner here in over 20 years. Great decision picking Peppermill. Expansive menu
with large group of three course $25-35 specials. Everyone enjoyed their choices. Promptly seated upon arrival at requested corner table. Service was most friendly and professional. All agreed this was a good call dining here. Can’t wait to go back.
Hostess seemed very artificially friendly. Had mad a rese ervation but then upon arrival we asked for different table. OMG we asked if we could sit in bar area--many available tables! But this was against there rules! We will go back-love food
