James was the best host server! His quality of service was top notch! He made our experience there even more so. The food and presentation of dish were beautiful, absolutely delicious! The cocktails are creative and I felt like I was in the big city. Finally, something worth it in Lansing. Thank you!!! Keep it up!
Portion size are small for the price and no side items. I would be very disappointed if I did order the full and probably get. 6-8oz chicken breast for $20. Limited drink menu. I heard the brunch is better then the order menu. We came to try the Oyster combo but they did not serve than any more but offer just the raw oyster. Bummer. Atmosphere is great. Tables was spread for social distancing. I may just return to try the brunch definitely not order dinner from menu.
The food and drinks were great. Staff were also super friendly. Cool place to grab some unique food. With great vegan options too
Waitress and Food were very good! Music was too loud for our taste. Not crazy about creepy Devil watching us eat.
The service and the food was extraordinary...
Waitress was super efficient and friendly..
Definitely recommend The People’s Kitchen 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Understaf, so slow service was not on waitress who was hustling, or kitchen. When at the table, service was fantastic. No refills on water, long waits for waitress to be able to stop at table, as she was also doing outdoor dining. Food was good. They could give you more bread for the mussels but did bring 3 extra slices for a buck. Beet salads outstanding. Had entrees, the table next to us had hand helds and those looked like better option next time.
I came in with a reservation through Open Table and was shown to a table prematurely and then was asked to get up and was seated in the lobby to wait. Awkward is the best way I can describe that. I was told by The Host that they did not have my reservation. I was eventually seated after waiting. This was the second time trying to dine at the establishment that I had a weird interaction with the host. I had previously came in and the same host told me that I was unable to be seated (it was an hour and 15 minutes before closing) due to volume. I placed an order to go and waited but a couple came in afterwards and were seated. The food is awesome however I won't be coming in anytime soon due to those experiences.
The food is absolutely great especially the pancakes!
Felt like home! Great atmosphere! The food was amazing!
Always amazing food and service, one of our favorite brunch and dinner places!
