The window seats give one of the most amazing views of LA sunsets in the city, and the seafood here is outstanding.
I was celebrating my birthday with friends. We had a delicious meal with unique flavors and beautiful plating. We also received an exciting complimentary amuse bouche. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and we left feeling full but not bloated and gross. The food is all sourced from Greece, the mediterranean region, and local. The dessert was also delicious. Only tiny downfall is that our water glasses were frequently empty for a while. We had to wave someone down to ask for more water.
Worth every penny
The food was excellent. Very authentic Greek items on the menu. Can’t wait to go back again.
Amazing views to celebrate any occasion. The food is very good and handmade cocktails are delicious.
Service & food was amazing!
We were three, having lunch. Sat at one of the window tables. The view was wonderful on our clear day, the food very good, the service excellent, and the noise level - at least at that time of day- was mercifully moderate. Hoe nice to have a restaurant that tries to create a pleasant dining experience instead of doing everything possible to drive you away.
Would go back just got the lobster truffle Mac n cheese!
Need a better choice than light with noise...or quieter and dark (cant read menu or really see food !) Otherwise very nice.
The Penthouse view is reason enough to eat brunch at the restaurant, but the food is creative and solid, and the staff - from hosts to servers are genuinely outstanding. Several of the dishes took one of the more artful Hispanic twists I've seen. The servers, such as Antoine were a pleasure.
Had a birthday celebration! Food was very good. Loved the cucumber martini ! Enjoyable all the way around. Views are spectacular!!!
The food was excellent, but overpriced. My dad ordered the Dover Sole, a serving for one, yet it cost $85.00!! Our Server was wonderful. I don't recommend the desserts.
Date ran late and burned through our reservations. Bar kept me covered during the wait and adjusted our reservation with no problem. Great service.
A gem of Santa Monica!
I love this restaurant. The view of the ocean from the top floor is breathtaking. The restaurant is beautiful and the food outstanding. My friend had the fish tacos which she loved and I had the spa omelet which was delicious and satisfying despite being healthy. But since their desserts are also made on premises we had to try two and the chocolate is now my favorite dessert in the entire city. You definitely need a reservation.
I went to the Penthouse for a business meeting at breakfast. It was a later (10:00 a.m.) breakfast, so it was not overly crowded, but the staff looked stressed out even with an abundance of empty tables. The menu items were all pretty standard and not too tricky for the kitchen, but table service was not attentive. We had to ask repeatedly for the usual breakfast items, coffee, juice, water, etc. The food, when it came, was pretty much what you would expect - nothing too awe inspiring. The bill for three including tips was over $90 - and this was for so-so food and not very good service. The only redeeming feature was the glorious view of the ocean from the large windows, but all in all, this was not good value for money.
Always such a lovely lunch viewing the ocean. The food is very good and the service is excellent
This is a LA gem for sure
We enjoyed a sumptuous, yep that’s the descriptive adjective-
lunch. There is not an unacceptable seat in the restaurant!
The view is on par with the appetizers and entrees.
We ordered the shrimp/ feta/ tomato appetizer, served with crusty bread slices (I commend myself for choosing well) .
Then ordered the fish of the day and fish tacos .
Both equally delectable . The french Rose was from a premier vintner. I share not one negative. Service was attentive but inconspicuous ! The bathroom upstairs was also extremely well appointed. Thank you- A truly lovely aesthetic/ gastronome experience!
Was perfect for entertaining out of town friends. Was a bright sunny day with lots of white caps on the ocean. Our friends were very impressed with the view, the food and the presentation of it. Our server was training a new employee. Only downside was they forgot to bring the Bloody Mary our friend ordered and never came back to check on us after food was served. It was not on the bill.
Food is fine but you go for the view. The service is very slow - I was waiting for a friend for about 5-10 minutes and wasn't even offered water. After my friend was seated, I had to ask for a waiter twice just to get coffee.
My visit was great until I asked to have my meal boxed. I realized that after i got home, the server never gave me my rib-eye and asparagus. When I called back, the manager had an attitude and promised to call em the next day with a resolution. I have not heard back from them sense.
Great venue, beautiful view and anazing food. Superb service and managers always available.
Absolutely loved all the food! The night views of Santa Monica are lovely as well. Woke up days later dreaming of the meats on the charcuterie board, but all the food was great!
Lovely lunch but we asked for bread three times before we were able to get a simple order of toasted sourdough. Our waiter told us twice there was no bread when we saw sandwiches at the tables around us.
Everything is mediocre except the view. We like to bring out of town friends there for lunch to get a nice view of Santa Monica.
The whole evening was wonderful. Lisa, our server was spectacular!
This is definitely a cool location for brunch...great views, good food and really tasty cocktails. It did take a long time to get our first round of drinks, which is my only criticism but also typical with craft cocktails.
The ambiance was perfect for a lunchtime date at the beach with a great view. There was an issue with our pastry appetizer which had plastic in one of the muffins. The manager and waitress did a tremendous job of fixing the situation and making mine and my girlfriends early Valentine’s Day date one to remember! Thank you!
Ambiance was great and view was stunning, but the hostess was rude and staff was slow. I used to go there a lot but was slightly turned off by this latest experience.
We arrived to celebrate our anniversary, we wanted a nice dinner, a happy place but the place was a Zoo. People shouting and talking loud standing everywhere! We left when a group of around 12 arrived for a birthday!! NOT APROPIATE IF YOU WANT INTIMACY.
Went on a Sat night with another couple to celebrate my wife's birthday -- had an amazing evening. Spectacular views of LA from top of the Huntley Hotel can't be beat. Restaurant surrounds the bar and it was VERY LOUD (which we normally don't like) but the high energy level helped make the evening special & festive. VERY HAPPY with the food which was upscale CA with STRONG Mediterranean/Greek emphasis. Old stand-bys like Lamb and Grilled Feta were re-invented into dishes that were gorgeous and delicious. A New Favorite!
A great view with very good food and service, just a bit spendy. Dinner for four was about six bills without any high end wines. Good fun....just have your wallet ready.
Food tastes good, the drinks are very small for the price. Only reason I would go here again is for the scenic view.
Great food, great view and great service. Everything you could’ve asked for!
Beautiful views the ocean views are breathtaking ! The ambience , food and waiters all on point! The manager Brad a complete sweetheart !
The food was excellent as was the service. The location and the view were remarkable. We have fond memories. It was a Saturday night so it was very noisy. But other than that I recommend very highly. We shall return.
Love the brunch but the dinner was even better. Great for friends and a AWESOME place to take your sweetie!!!
Goood view, good food, good service.
Great food and service with amazing views. Rather on the expensive side, and the noise level made it almost impossible to have a conversation with my dining companion. Tables were uncomfortable close together.
I'm glad we went, but I'm not sure I'd go back given the noise and the crowded floor space.
Such an amazing place! We ended up adding three extra people last minute and they accomadted! Great brunch place with bottomless mimosas and an amazing view.
