   Visited again this great place for another occasion, and this time everyone elevated my dinner experience. The waiter Michael was amazing and able to accommodate a very special drink request I made for my wife and myself. His food recommendation was above and beyond, particularly the Mediterranean Sea bass. My new favorite spot in Santa Monica.! Be back soon.

   It’s a beautiful restaurant but I wish our waiter was more attentive. He seemed to be in his own world and did NOT offer good service but the food was fine the restaurant is beautiful.

   Terrible service. Waiter was not attentive, showing only occasionally and never offering anything else or asking how we were. They have a mandatory 20% tip included, so I believe that makes service really poor since they don’t have to earn their tips. There was a pre-fix thanksgiving menu which was simply ok but not for the per person price tag of $95. Very disappointing experience.

   We went here for Thanksgiving Dinner. The Branzino was delicious, however, the thanksgiving fixings (green beans, mash potatoes) were gross. We ate a bit of the brussel sprouts. The pumkin pie was not even a pie...it was some kind of frozen pumkin taco that I took one bite of and decided to just pass. It was just me and my husband and they sat us at the worst two person table by an emergency exit.

   The ambiance is always great here but I came here for thanksgiving this time and I was greatly disappointed. My prime rib was so dry and bland. The chocolate cake dessert wasn’t great either it was too bitter. My server seemed annoyed which made me uncomfortable. I’ll still come back but never for thanksgiving.

    Did not appreciate how we were serviced. The older brunette waitress was mean... when I asked if they served food other then breakfast too. She stated.. " uh. It 8am. Not 12noon.". She could have just said a simple no. Also the hostess. Was also rude when I asked her to place us in a cabana . She stated only more then 4 can sit there.. when I saw 2 people sitting in them.. she stated there are exceptions ?!?! What?!. I've been here for many years.. my sis n law knows the owner. I was very surprised by this treatment. You need to talk to them or let them go. I don't feel like recommending this place to my co workers anymore. 😕

    Made a reservation for my niece’s 17th. Second time here, the first time was years ago and I will say the menu is not as good as before. The food was still good but not a lot of options. They didn’t bring out anything special for her bday. I had to ask them to put a candle on our dessert we ordered.

    The actual place is amazing and the wait staff was attentive where the main server less so. The food was good not excellent. The carrot was not all that well cooked. Overall the vegetables were not cooked well, except for the Brussels sprouts.

    I read the reviews on OpenTable. Wasn’t sure to attend. After attending I feel the reviews were not helpful. The food, though maybe did not have massive flavor, which is what some of the reviews suggested, I’d instead say it was light, clean, and healthy. We had a fresh catch of the day of bass and a Caesar salad, between two of us along with an appetizer. Though I would not say it was amazing, I would also not say it was average. I felt I enjoyed it and would go again. And yes always room for improvement…

    The first thing I noticed when we arrived was how noisy it was. The restaurant seemed to have more of a club vibe than fine dining. Overall the view and food were worth the price. Our server, Jimmy, could have been a bit more attentive. We had to flag him down for another round of drinks. The Umami steak and King Salmon were cooked perfectly. We were disappointed the dessert options didn’t have a chocolate choice.

    The ambiance was superb. The service was outstanding with much attention to detail. The food was amazing. My truffle Ceaser Salad was soooo delicious. The Umami Steak was tender and flavorful. The sauce was a black truffle potato cloud topped with mushrooms. Every bite put me in heaven. I finished my night with a cherry cheesecake that was also very creamy. The window view was breathtaking. The entire service team collaborated to make my visit very memorable.

    Girls nights out We were properly greeted and seated within 2 minutes of our reservation time. The hostess picked a perfect table with a panoramic view overlooking the beach and promenade. Between the 2 of us we ordered: spicy margarita, grapefruit super star, skinny fries, short rib cavatelli, crispy tuna tartare and a few other dishes including the sour cherry cheesecake. Our waitress was phenomenal (Stephanie H.) the timing for the drinks, appetizers, main course and deserts was perfectly executed. I recommend this restaurant for any type of celebration between friends, lovers, or business partners

    Food was cold, oily, and bland. Plating was not at all impressive. And the service...horrible! Server was nowhere to be found. It took over half an hour for my friend to get a drink. And then proceeds to hand the dessert spoon from across the table instead of placing it himself on the table as one would usually do. The view is great but can't make up for the lack of proper service!

    We went for DineLA and the great view. Excellent service. We each chose different items off the DineLA menu. Favorites were the tuna appetizer, steak frites and cheesecake. Love pot de crème but personally not crazy about the orange topping

    Leuke locatie met kwaliteit eten. De bediening snapt er niet heel veel van. Wij ervaren het zo dat ze je snel weg willen hebben. Alles komt te snel achter elkaar. De akoestiek is zeer slecht. Het lijkt wel of je midden in een kroeg staat.

    We brought a dear friend to one of our favorite spots and were lucky enough to be there during dineLA week. The menu was exquisite and we shared four meals between the three of us. The branzino was the best we’ve had, and the tuna with crispy rice was sublime. Everything was top shelf from the food, to the service, to the atmosphere. This restaurant still has the best view in all of LA County. We’ve been coming here for more than 10 years, and the quality remains the same as it did pre-pandemic. It was a lovely meal and we can’t wait to return for another.

    The Penthouse is worth the trip and the price to dine on the top of the building and eat in all the beautiful Santa Monica and Los Angeles views! I dined here during LA’s restaurant week so I had the prix fix menu and tried some things that I would not have ordered before. I was throughly impressed and everything was delicious! Good portion sizes and service. This is a place to keep coming back to.
