We were really looking forward to a nice serene birthday lunch with a view of the ocean. Unfortunately the place is a bit chaotic and we were placed in a corner without any view. The food was tasty but pretty pricey for what it was.
Great service. Nice ambiance.
Horrible horrible horrible!
Food was terrible.
Food was served raw.
Spend your money somewhere else.
Food was great & service was good except for bar service. Took forever to get our first cocktail & didn’t get a second until our food was finished. Disappointing
Thank you so much for accommodating us on my birthday! Was a wonderful evening ☺️
Once inside the place, it was fine, BUT, on the less than 4 block walk to the restaurant, we had to nearly trip over FOUR homeless people, one of which was particularly obnoxious. I just don't understand why businesses in this once beautiful city have allowed this to happen!
View, ambiance, food, service, 5/5.
Excellent to the nxt level.
Definitely will recommend and come back.
Always forget how beautiful the view is from the Penthouse! The menu has some interesting selections. And, yes you pay a little more for the million-dollar views, but that's what makes it different from everywhere else. You won't be disappointed.
The ambience was fairly good but the service was slow and bad.
The service and food was very tasty
I feel like I’ve eaten better meals at sizzler. First off, they over booked and our 745 reservation became an 845 reservation. Then it took them 20 mins to take our order, 20 mins to bring us our drinks and another 45 mins to deliver the food. It was supposed to be a thanksgiving “experience” that was more like a cheap buffet at sizzler.
The food, hum… well it was 2 courses, if you can call it that… soup or bread, not done well. Then the meal… we ordered the Turkey, the sliced breast was dry with not enough gravy. The dark meat was shredded like pulled pork and stringy. The “fixings” consisted of burnt Brussel Sprouts a scoop of mashed potatoes(not enough for 2 people) and less than a quarter cup of cranberry (which tasted like it came from a can). I honestly think they brought one order instead of 2. If your dinner for 2 can fit on one plate it’s a dinner for 1. Then we waited another 30 mins for the dessert… wow, it was pumpkin pie from CVS or smart and final… with less than a dollop of whip cream. I felt like I was at a food kitchen in skid row and not a fancy restaurant. Lol.
It took another 20 mins to bring the check and 10 mins to run the card. Looking around the restaurant, it was empty at this point and the tables that were there all had the same craned necks either waiting for their food, their dessert, their check etc…
For a $90 meal w 20% service fee and another 20% gratuity totaling 150 each for a grand total of $300… which took 3 hours for 2 courses, we would have been happier eating dog food.
I don’t understand who gives this place such high ratings, is it a club at night? Who knows, but it’s not a restaurant that’s for sure. It’s embarrassing open table even has this place to book.
Won’t be coming back and we sure as hell won’t be staying at the hotel.
I took a chance, should have just booked at shutters or the Ivy.
Poor management and customer service. We made a 6:30pm reservation on Thanksgiving and did not get seated til 8pm. They obviously over booked and did not even apologize or try to make our wait more pleasant.
My husband and I went to the PH for Thanksgiving dinner. The food was great and our waiter was friendly and efficient. However, the restaurant has very poor time/reservation management. We had a 6:15pm reservation and were told it would be a 30 minute wait, which was annoying, but fine. There were so many people waiting around for tables that we felt claustrophobic at times while we waited. Especially since there wasn’t really the ability to social distance. Ultimately, we weren’t seated until 7:15pm - literally a one hour wait with a reservation, which was ridiculous and very frustrating. We understand that it was a busy evening with a holiday dinner, but it wasn’t managed well.
The food was delicious and our server was great. Ambiance was A+. The only issue we had was that we waited almost 45 minutes to be seated even though we had a reservation. The hostess was nice but a liar. She told us we were being seated next after one party and then she proceeded to seat 5-6 different parties before us. I would have preferred she just be honest and tell us they were running behind and that there were a bunch of parties before us. Really bizarre thing to lie about when we could clearly see we were not next to be seated. However, the food was good, came out quickly and nice atmosphere. The management needs to train the hostess better.
Thanksgiving Dinner. Great view, Turkey Dinner with all the fixings family style.
We were seated 25 mins after our reservation time - they were well under-staffed - they added 20% gratuity automatically to all tables and so the servers didn't seem motivated to offer timely service - took a very long time to get any requests like water, extra spoon, etc.
Stephany was an incredible server and just a cool person! The food was absolutely incredible. gorgeous views. Every staff member we interacted with was so friendly and genuine. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
The food was great & the view of the sun setting was amazing. My only complaint is it was a fixed menu of $89 each for thanksgiving but we somehow ended up spending almost double of that for some unknown reason (which only dawned on me after we left as I didn’t look at the bill deeply). We gave a 20% tip each & had one glass of Champagne each.. so either the glass of champagne was almost more than the three course meal or something didn’t quite add up right..
overall it was still a lovely thanksgiving and the place itself is a bit of a hidden gem!
Thanksgiving meal, service and ambiance were all amazing!
Very nice place, very good service, delicious food.
Nice decor with great views! Food and service were both good. A bit noisy during busy hours.
Amazing drinks with a beautiful vibe. Great for brunch.
so great place! service and staff so nice and friendly Love this restaurant !
Delicious food and drinks, great service. We went on a Saturday night and there was a DJ but it wasn't loud. I wish the music was a bit louder because couldn't hear it at times. Waiter was very attentive.
Great! Food was amazing but too loud
Lisa was Awsome !!!
She made it for us !
She was very attentive,
Flat iron steak way too tough! Need more menu selections. Lobster mac and cheese was amazing!
Very nice experience except music too loud to hear conversations
Girl friends birthday brunch
Stephanie our waitress did not miss a beat, she checked in on us every step of the way, made great suggestions and even took several photos for our group. Food was Hot and Presented so beautifully, the views, the views the views !!!! worth every penny I would definitely be back
The food was expertly cooked and delicious. We loved the cocktails and views.
Did food, service and views were amazing. Can’t wait to go back.
Will definitely come back again. Food was delicious. Service was a tad bit slow and the noise level was too high for my liking, but understandable!
This restaurant is DIRTY. The booth was gross. Chandeliers broken, dirty floors. I used to eat here all the time and with COVID you'd think they would have cleaned before opening back up.
Great service, great food and even better drinks.
Amazing date night! Beautiful Place with fantastic food and great staff.
Was amazing. View was spectacular. Food all tasted amazing. Our server Jim gave us some amazing food and drink recommendations. He didn't miss a beat. Was exceptional service. Will do it again when we come back to Santa Monica.
The view is STUNNING!
