   As always the service at the Pendray Tea Room is outstanding. We went for high tea and all the hosts are polite and are very knowledgeable about the teas offered and gave excellent recommendations to my party. The food was delicious, and each item was expertly presented. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth it for a special event or for when you want to treat yourself. They will offer you a mimosa or sparkling wine when you're seated, please note that this is not included in the price of your high tea and isn't complimentary, this wasn't a surprise to me but might be for someone who isn't paying attention! They also offer a Vegan high tea, but you do have to notify them in advance which is amazing as many places don't have this option! Would definitely recommend going to this high tea in a gorgeous building with an authentic feel!

   Beautiful, historic building, worth seeing itself. Food was creative and delicious. We were also very appreciative for the vegan choices on the menu as well as some decaffeinated teas. I would definitely return.

   Mother’s Day Tea. Made reservation for 4 to accommodate my mother and father, sister and myself. Day before Mother’s Day my daughter and granddaughter surprised me. I contacted the Pendray tea house to see if it would be possible to add them to our reservation. On Sunday morning, Mother’s Day, they called me back and made every effort to accommodate us even though they had been booked for weeks. We had the most enjoyable experience and made wonderful memories. Worth every penny. Will definitely go back.

   Many different types of teas to choose from and yummy sandwiches, with decadent desserts. The house is lovely and service was great. A bit pricey but worth it for a treat!

   The tea room is beautiful. We were seated at a window. Unfortunately the radiator which provides heat to the building was also located at the window. It could not be turned off and trying to drink hot tea next to a hot radiator was a bit miserable. The tea selection and offerings were delicious. I would definitely go there again and simply request to avoid the radiator!

    It was easy to book a reservation last minute and the food was served promptly. However the staff lacked a formality that I would have expected for afternoon tea. The grounds were not well maintained. Everything seemed a little “tired”. My husband was still hungry at the end of his meal so not good value for the price of $75.00 per person including a tip. I would not recommend this to a friend nor would I return.

    Tea was served lukewarm and after the food. (Pretty sure it’s supposed to come before the food.) After tea was served, no one came to check on us until we were nearly done. To compensate for the lukewarm tea, they discounted our bill 15%, which was a nice gesture. But we would have preferred our tea hot.

    Nice experience, as a former server, I wondered why our used dishes and empty glasses were not removed from the table, we had dirty plates, empty glasses, 2 teapots, cups and saucers, our tiered serving tray, water glasses, all on the table before we left…it was awkward and I wasn’t sure why it happened.

    We had a late afternoon seating and it was so nice - we were the only people there at the end. The food is delicious. Portions aren’t huge, so you will still want dinner later on. We liked that it wasn’t a super dressy place - business casual attire was just fine. We were thrilled to find a place that offers TWG tea - our main reason for booking here.

    We had a visitor from Ontario and decided to treat her for tea. We live nearby the Pendray Tea House and always wanted to try it, so this was a great time to try it. Two orders were gluten free and we’re equally yummy compared to the regular afternoon tea. Great service. A memorable afternoon and would definitely recommend.

    We were in Victoria on March 23, the flower beds were not ready which would have been so. Ice to see. The tea was excellent. The food was 2 very small biscuits, one cold French toast cut in half, one delicious sausage, 2 extremely hot hard boiled eggs that we had to crack and shell. 1 large wedges of cantaloupe. It was there breakfast service not high tea. It was $18, which I thought was not bad. Would like to experience the high tea service next time in the summer with all the full flower beds.

    I booked this online for my 50th birthday. Value for what you get is great! Ambience is very authentic. You feel like you’re back in the 1800’s having tea. Even better than Empress now since Empress owners changed.

    I took my 16 year old granddaughter for her first High Tea experience. We both LOVED it! The tea menus were excellent and the TWG London Breakfast tea was the best I’ve ever tasted. Such a gorgeous setting inside and out. Thank you for a fond memory making experience.

    Went with my husband while staying in Victoria and celebrating our anniversary. Afternoon Tea was not in his wheelhouse but he really enjoyed it too! Beautiful location, tasty food and fantastic selection of tea to choose from. Service was friendly and welcoming. Will be recommending this experience here to others.

    We had such a lovely time at the Pendray! It was a beautiful day and sitting near the bay windows was just wonderful. We both enjoyed the food very much and the tea (and the choices) were fantastic! Jose gave the best customer service possible and it was a pleasure to be there! Thank you to the Pendray.

    We reserved a table 3 weeks ago, we mentioned we need a good view table because it was for someone birthday, we were the first group arrived there, but we were arranged at a table without view, only thing you can see through the window is the white stairs outside the window, the stairs block the window. The food is not tasty as well. Overall was a bad experience.

    The service was friendly and knowledgable. Our family had the traditional tea, vegetarian version and West coast tea, and we were impressed by how beautiful and delicious all the food was. We also loved the quaint decorations and tea sets. We would definitely go back next time we are in Victoria.
