   Lots of options both seafood and non seafood. Many options can be modified for gluten free allergy. Chris was very helpful with suggestions and recommended the house made fried pickles (had them GF), they were amazing.

   I ate here 6 years ago on my birthday, visiting from out of town. Went again last night for my birthday dinner. Did not disappoint either time. Shrimp and grits were wonderful, friendly staff, I’d definitely go again.

    We had been really excited to go and it makes me sad to even write this, we had a table of 5 and over 400 dollars of food and the waiter didn’t truly want to help us, and didn’t even offer us desert or anything and we had a birthday girl. The food was delicious but just how it all went and the price of it just the experience wasn’t worth it for me and I’m sad about it.

    Restuarant is packed with tables, waiter was awkward, fan blowing so hard eyes dry out and my wife was cold, food delivered and never checked on us to see how it was, or what we needed.

    Definitely timing issues with our food. Server brought out my husband’s food and 15m later were still waiting for mine. We finally got someone’s attention and they came back with my omelet, however I think it was someone else’s because it had no cheese or sauce on it. Not good. They removed my meal and our app from the bill but was disappointed because we usually have a great experience there.

    I’ve been here many times and the food and atmosphere is fantastic as always. This visit the service was really lacking this time and it’s usually phenomenal. We were very neglected considering the restaurant was not very busy.

    My family ate here to celebrate daughter's OSU graduation. I made the reservation in January based on other reviews and proximity to campus. I received a call two weeks prior to confirm my reservation. We arrived to the restaurant five minutes before our time and were taken right to our table. Nick, our server, was friendly and gave us great, attentive service. The food was outstanding. We ordered a variety of items, however, things that stood out were: tater tots, fried pickles, the braised short ribs, the horseradish mashed potatoes and the strawberries and cream dessert. Truly couldn't think of a better experience to celebrate such a momentous occasion! Thank you to all!

    Our food was incredible! We had the tavern Benedict and the chicken and waffles. The bourbon bacon drink was one of my favorite whiskeys drinks I’ve ever had! Service was great and we loved the atmosphere too.

    We made a reservation while traveling home from FL. You were recommended by a friend who lived in Columbus. You did not disappoint. We have no complaints, food delicious and the service was outstanding. I loved the book that was given with the bill. We were able to make a note in it. It was in a good location from where we were staying and able to walk to the restaurant. Beautiful location downtown. Thanks for an enjoyable evening.

    The staff was fantastic. they were welcoming, attentive and had perfect timing, which is so critical. I rated the food as 3 stars due to the limited menu. I would have liked a broader selection both in apps and main courses. Dessert was fabulous, even took an extra to go.

    The drinks were awesome and the server Shawn was absolutely amazing from start to finish. A true professional; it’s a shame the kitchen couldn’t help facilitate an equally wonderful experience. I am the GM of a restaurant and never have I sent back not one entree, but both. I was really excited to come here while in town (We drove in from Cleveland), but beyond the jalapeño cornbread and smoked salmon, the Short rib was way too salty, potatoes over whipped, vegetables bland and underwhelming. The hanger came out medium well when ordered medium rare, temp picks still in food even when remade, and the dish was over seasoned, also too salty, terrible. I’m sorry to say we won’t be back. Whatever the chef was doing in October of last year needs to happen again— this was a travesty.

    AMAZING food! We had a great time celebrating our engagement, such a nice atmosphere with wonderful staff. Kylie was our server, she was beyond fantastic, so so kind and fun! The food surpassed our expectations! Highly recommend this spot for a nice dinner!

    We had a party of four all arriving at different times and the host was nice enough to make sure everyone was seated accordingly. The restaurant ambiance was delightful and could accommodate many different dining experiences such as causal, business or a romantic dinner. Our waiter was fantastic and allowed us enough time to enjoy ourselves and take our order when we were ready. We started with the Tater Tots loaded and the Tavern Fries. The loaded Tater Tots were amazing and would highly recommend. The Tavern Fries were just thick cut fries so there is room to spice those up if they wanted. For dinner I enjoyed the GREAT LAKES FISH N CHIPS. This fish was cooked to perfection and the taste was truly enjoyable. Instead of chips with my entree, I choose the roasted cauliflower which was the star of the show. I know, cauliflower right?! It was as if it was cooked in a bit of balsamic which added a bit of sweetness along with other ingredients making this dish a winner. Everyone at the table agreed. The wash rooms were extremely well kept which is a determining factor when I choose to dine out. Again, service and food were all fantastic and look forward to dining at the Short North location of The Pearl.
