   The food was very good. It’s hard to find restaurants that offer hanger steak. The service was very split. I’m very appreciative of the help and patience I got from the front end staff. My mother is older and has some mobility issues and they were very courteous and made sure she had a seat while I was parking and getting the car after our meal. Initially our waiter was on the spot. But then after our entrees were served he was MIA. I wanted a second beer and my mother wanted a refill on her Pepsi. Additionally we wanted to order dessert. But after waiting, and waiting, and waiting some more I decided to go hunt down our waiter and just ask for the check. I thought the lowest possible tip % on the card scanner being 20% was a bit presumptuous considering the circumstance. But whatever, I tipped 20% then took mom to DQ for dessert and her Pepsi. All told I am sympathetic as it’s Mother’s Day and I’m sure the staff is stretched too and even beyond their limits on holidays like these. Still had a good time and a great meal.

   The Pearl is constantly one of my favorite places to eat, never disappoints. The food and service are both top notch. The short north location when the gallery hop is in full swing is always buzzing.

   We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Marlee at The Pearl in the Short North, and she made our entire experience unforgettable. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind—she struck the perfect balance between professionalism and friendliness. She gave great recommendations, anticipated everything we needed without us even asking, and made us feel completely taken care of. It’s rare to come across someone who clearly loves what they do and makes you feel like a VIP. Marlee is a gem, and we’ll definitely be back because of her!

    The waitress was not very good she never checked on us. We go to the pearl ever week these oysters we received where smaller than the claims . Some of them looked like there was not even an oyster in the shell🤷‍♀️ Told Marlo our waitress she did not really care Service and food big disappointment for 300.
