Recently included in the 100 Best Local Restaurants 2024 compiled by the Good Food Guide, The Pearl is a charming British restaurant in Prestwich Village serving beautifully presented dishes overseen by Head Chef, Matt Bennett, in a relaxed, intimate dining room. Independent and family-owned, we work with like-minded producers and growers from the British Isles on a simple and delicious menu and let the ingredients speak for themselves.

                  My wife Faye and I ate at The Pearl on Sunday for lunch to end a weekend of celebrations for my Birthday. From the first step through the door the experience was nothing short of magnificent. The two guys who were front of house were incredibly welcoming and throughout the whole time we were never once made to feel rushed or in anyway like they wanted the table back. The guys set the whole tone of the Pearl which is relaxing and comfortable. The decor instantly makes you feel like you’re in either a Tuscan or Parisian cafe and instantly makes you feel at ease. All of these first impressions were the perfect introduction to what was one of the best meals and eat out experiences we’ve ever had. We ordered the same from the small Sunday lunch menu, Sticky venison to start, followed by the rump cap and all the trimmings for main and the sharing apple crumble for desert. Each course was out of this world. There aren’t enough superlatives in the dictionary that can shower enough praise onto the guys that produce the food at The Pearl. The Venison was melt in the mouth, the beef was tender, juicy and cooked to perfection, the roasties and cauli cheese were ridiculously good, the gravy was straight up liquid heaven and the apple crumble sharer must have been made by some higher power because the decadence of this desert was off the scale. At the end of the meal there was a lovely touch from the kitchen when one of the chefs brought out a personal slice of strawberry tart as they were aware that it was my Birthday. This was something that they didn’t need to do but was such a kind gesture and really made me feel special. The strawberry tart itself, go on, have a guess……….was flipping incredible!! 10/10, 100/100, 1000/1000, whatever I could rate the Pearl out of it would score the highest mark.                   Just perfect, you can tell just how much Sam and team care with the level of attention to detail. Isle of white tomatoes at the moment are a must ! Thanks so much, see you again :)

                  This is the best restaurant Ive been to this year ( and I go a LOT). we had to drive for an hour to get there but worth every minute of traveling. Sunday roast was divine but left me pining to go back for a la carte. I might move to North Manchester just to be closer !!!! Food delicious cooked to perfection, veggie options the same, completely customer focused . The place is cosy but Proof that good things do come in small packages. Bloody loved it

                  Visited several times now and each time the food is outstanding. Service is fantastic. Genuinely one of the best restaurants you could visit.

                  Lovely intimate place. Good drinks excellent food and good music playing in the background without drowning you out. Excellent service, they come explain things to you if you have any queries, they are very helpful. All in all an excellent place.

                  Great atmosphere , the food is delicious and a great selection of drinks. This restaurant is a labour of love from the owners and a great dining experience. The service is exceptional I cannot recommend it enough.

                  Really enjoyed The Pearl. Food was delicious. I would of loved my salmon starter to have been a bit bigger as it was so lovely but I was full by the end of the meal so can't really complain. Overall a very nice place to eat and I would go again.
