We enjoyed this restaurant for dinner twice and breakfast four times. Very good food and reasonably priced. Service was good except for one rude hostess on one occasion.

The Peaks Restaurant is the only restaurant in Sequoia, so there isn't any competition. It is more like a nice diner than a restaurant. However, the service was good and the waiters were attentive. Reservations are a must, and there is no grace period for being late. The Berry salad was good. The salmon dinner was also good, as well as the hamburger with their homemade potato chips. The pot-roast was okay, but the mashed potatoes that came with it were lumpy, and tasted like cardboard. The chicken pot pie was very salty and not filled with any substantial chicken pieces or vegetables. Since the six of us were celebrating a birthday, we had the flourless chocolate cake, which was rich and very good.

The waitstaff were efficient and very pleasant. My husband and I both ordered the Ribeyes and found them to be of inferior quality. It was very noisy, not romantic at all and the dress code was not adhered to at all; lots of people in shorts looking like they just finished a hike. The wine prices were very reasonable however.

Our service from Izzy was excellent. The food was very good - though they were out of a few things. They also don’t have a bartender right now, so only beer and wine. My husband had the rib special and I had the salmon. Highly recommend!

The hostess was pleasant and professional. Helped us find a windows table. Our waitress was abysmal. She left food and plates on our table until another waitress arrived with our desserts. And there was a very long wait time between dinner and dessert. I asked the dessert waitress to please have our table cleared, which she did. The steaks we ordered were thin as could be. No way mine could even be cooked to medium rare. The seasoning was ok, but the color was a sad gray. Disappointing. I would suggest sticking with simple foods here, like a hamburger, a sandwich, maybe chili or chicken pot pie. Save your special dining splurges for a better restaurant.

Our server Cristina was very friendly and did a really nice job! We had a party of six. Be sure to make reservations (open table worked great for these!) Brussel sprout app was tasty and enough for the whole table. You can split the burger if not super hungry. We had salmon; pot roast; burger on our party…all were very good. It’s a bit more expensive but you are in a national park! The views and experience are very nice. Really good margarita!
