The Peacock Den
We love the Peacock Den for our mum’s group gatherings. The atmosphere is lovely and quiet - the no kids thing is a huge draw card!
Exceptional service, the Sommelier had an intimate knowledge of every wine and spirit on offer. The food was served at appropriate intervals and if high quality. The customer service was excellent and the staff were very accommodating to our requests to move from a table to comfy chairs as our night progressed. It was a wonderful way to spend our anniversary and we will definitely be returning in the future
The ambience, service and food is outstanding. We are regulars and would recommend anyone who enjoys quality food and wine. Service outstanding
Great wine selection and the perfect place to sit and relax
An amazing little gem in the suburbs. Impeccable service, great ambience and the food and wine were high quality. Our group of 6 chose the new ‘feed me’ option which covered a great range of the menu and allowed us to be served so we could focus on catching up.
One of my best dining experiences. Loved everything about it. The ambience, service, cocktails and food!! Highly recommend.
Great atmosphere, great food and wine. Food is actually amazing and a few dishes to share between two is suitable as a dinner replacement. Definitely recommend! Kid-free place too, so no little screamers or smartphone entertainment going on!
Great ambience and enjoyed celebrating our one year anniversary.
Love this place, food is always amazing, and the blushing peacock cocktail is just divine
food is always so great. The staff was friendly but not fully knowledgeable on all the food and had to head to the kitchen to check on some of our questions but that's ok. Will still head back as we always enjoy our time there.
We are locals and have eaten here before. The food is exceptional, no need to travel to the city for a great night out. Best restaurant and we are lucky to have it in The Basin
Amazing food! Lovely service! Can’t wait to go back :)
Great food, very nice dining experience. The feed-me option was terrific, made it very easy to order.
One of the best hidden gems in Melbourne. World class food and wine, great atmosphere, excellent service. All this while having a fresh and exciting new take on a bar which is ahead of its time.
The food here is absolutely delicious, great service and with a good atmosphere. Will highly recommend for a date night and a catch up with friends.
Fantastic Place, Great Food, Great Wine and a Wonderful place
What a gorgeous find! Amazing wine list and the menu was amazing. Fortunately they had a feed me option 5 dishes for $55 p.p so we didn't have to choose, we just got a wonderful surprise as each dish was presented. The open fire and the cosy atmosphere made for a perfect winters night, and the service was unobtrusive and highly efficient.
This was our first dining experience at the Peacock Den. It was outstanding in every aspect, food was delicious and outstanding quality, service was outstanding, we loved everything about it and will be back and will be bringing our friends, thank you for a wonderful night of quality food and wine.
Brenton and Kerrie Ekers
Loved it.. great atmosphere. Food was outstanding and service impeccable..,can’t wait to go back
My staff and I had yet again another fantastic evening at The Peacock Den. We just love the space, set up and how it allows us to relax and enjoy a team night out. The food was amazing and catered for our vegetarian and myself as a coeliac.
Amazing food , great wine selection ,would be good to have some non boutique beers like corona and low carb pure blonde to the list , great expresso martini’s ❤️
Great food and great service, we had a lovely evening.
Who would have thought a little gem like this would be in The Basin. The food was simply fantastic, (highly recommend prawns and arancini balls. Wine list is also very good however a little $$. My wife and I ate way too much. Don't forget to leave some room for dessert and the coffee was also very good. Well worth the effort to drive up there. We will 100% be back
Spectacular food, love the share plate dining experience. Great wine list with lots of good quality SA reds.
Very good local will definitely be back. Great food, service and ambiance for a quiet night out.
Great cozy little place with amazing service and food. I loved the feed me option. Highly reccomend.
First time in the den. Staff were friendly, food was spectacular, service quick but we weren’t rushed. Overall an excellent experience. Thanks.
Love this place and definitely going there again. The food was excellent, the ambience was amazing and the service was top notch. You will not be disappointed going here. Just make sure you make a reservation prior.
Everything was fantastic. Thanks for a great night.
We've been to TPD a couple of timed before and loved it and this visit was no exception, although we were disappointed there was no mulled wine this winter. 'The Basin' cocktail however more than made up for this. Some of our favourites are the Lamb Ribs, Southern Fried Chicken, Cherry Dougnuts and Chocolate Cake with Lavender Ice-cream. The staff are great, ambience is great (playlist on Saturday was awesome), the only minor detail is the couches right in front of the fireplace get way too hot (might be worth turning it right down low or off if people have to sit in front of it). All in all amazing as usual!
A great local venue, great food and wine list! Will definitely be back.
Lovely place for a quiet drink and catch up with friends. Will definitely be back
Third time visiting and the food was amazing as always. Very eclectic decor and most of the seating is in arm chairs or couches so it may not be for everyone but it’s perfect for a quiet night with a couple of friends. Highly recommend the lamb and garlic prawns but everything we had was perfectly cooked.
Lovely cosy atmosphere. Friendly service. Great tapas style menu. Loved the cocktails and recouping try the Basin. Even though it’s small I did not feel that I was sitting shoulder to shoulder with others or that I couldn’t have a private conversation. Nice relaxing place.
The food was absolutely fantastic, service great and wine wonderful although expensive.
Maybe for a drink perfect but a meal I found it expensive.
service was lovely but very slow, felt for the chef being on his own, far to busy for only 1 chef
The food and ambience here are extremely appealing. The wine choices are also very good and not overpriced. I will definitely be back!
Delicious and relaxing as usual. A favourite spot of mine and was great to introduce some friends to the Peacock Den
But the feed menu at $55 per person left us both unsatisfied. Factor in a few cocktails each and we were almost $220 poorer. But we loved it and will be back. Definitely worth a visit for a special occasion. I recommend going after tea and indulging in a few cocktails and a share plate or two. The feed me menu was too expensive for what you received. Although it was very well cooked. Well seasoned and extremely well presented. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed.
We love The Peacock Den. Is a great spot for some time to chat, graze and sip on some yummo cocktails. Staff are fantastic and this last time we visited and were in a spot after leaving our phone in the uber they went above and beyond to help us! thanks guys xx Anthea & Dan xx
