Johns Hopkins was inspired by his close friend George Peabody to use his great wealth for the public good. The collaboration between these men and the institutions they created is the inspiration for our restaurant, located within Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, FL.
At The Peabody, the familiar aroma of coffee, the promise of a delicious meal, and the anticipation of friendly buzz will offer a reprieve from the daily chaos. It is where the community as a whole comes to refill their cup, both proverbially and, often, quite literally.
Come celebrate the culture, the food, the friendship and the community at The Peabody Restaurant at John's Hopkins All Children's Hospital. We'll see you at the Lib

We went for a birthday celebration with 8 of us. The food was wonderful, and the server Kate was the best. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and everyone tried to order something different so we could compare. No complaints and we will be back
Great food, great service.
It was my Daughter’s Sweet 16 brunch and both our server and the manager made it awesome! I brought in a fake so we could sing to her and manage even helped me set it all up and put the candles in:) Great service, great food! Highly recommend!!!
Excellent in every way! Good food, service and quality. Great experience.
My second visit which was even better than the first & can't wait to go back!
The ambiance, service and food were all impeccable! Had such a great Brunch here and can't wait to come back!
The toast on both dishes was cold and as hard as a rock. It made the avocado toast virtually inedible.
Disappointed that the salad dressing was not balanced with enough balsamic vinegar. Far more oil than desirable. I also ordered the truffle fries but it did not have parmesan cheese sprinkled as server indicated. But I'd give it another chance due to ambience and recommendations from others.
It was our third visit to Peabody. The first was really the only stellar one. Quiet. Excellent food. Even MORE excellent service. The second, the food was consistently good; the service was not. Saturday night, there were 4 of us. The charcuterie platter had shrunk significantly since the first visit. Very meager for $18! The salmon came raw. The two flatbread entrees had badly burned crusts. The hamburger (I'm told) was very good. The wait staff was ridiculously poor. I felt stupid leaving a tip. The manager, however, came to our table and came back with the salmon properly cooked. Still trying to decide if we'll ever go back. Very disappointed.
Beautiful restaurant. The service was superb.
This was my third visit, I was disappointed with the food. The pizza was soggy due to the kitchen stacking up the pizza on a small plate and the noodles in the salad I had were too hard. I will be back but I was hoping for a better experience. My first two visits were for lunch and this time we went for dinner. I definitely think it is a better lunch spot.
Wine is very overpriced for a short pour. A cocktail costs less.
Our server, Kate, was excellent!
Enjoyed food and ambiance. Recommend highly for a nice quiet meal
Our experience at the Peabody was excellent for start to finish. Dale and the rest of the staff were attentive, friendly, and efficient. Our food was perfect and the drinks were beyond amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant and I can’t wait to visit again!
Great service and the food was delicious. Loved the breakfast menu! Overall-great place...nice addition to downtown St. Pete.
Great Sunday brunch spot! Loved the beautiful restaurant, it’s so clean and brand new. The food was amazing and there was so many different options to choose from. Great cocktails as well. Will be back!
Great ambience (once you’re in the restaurant - the exterior is pretty sterile), excellent service from everyone. An interesting spin on the usual sandwiches. Loved the burrata small plate, presented differently than I’ve ever had it. Two minor complaints - a vodka martini that tasted mostly of water and vermouth (returned without a problem) and frites that were a bit soggy. Hamburger looked unremarkable but was delicious. I will definitely return.
Delightful dining experience. We have recommended The Peabody to friends and will be back for lunch and brunch. Would like to see an expanded dinner menu.
Wonderful Sunday brunch spot.
It was a little noisy, but the service and food was really good.
Being a foodie we visit many restaurants and eat most every meals at home. While food is a huge component, the ambiance and servers Mandy and Katie make this place. Excellent service and interpersonal communication is what make people come back. Aside from today, since we had to prep for a trip out of town, I can't think of a week that has gone by where we haven't eaten here at least three times a week. Excellent place and service.
I took a small group of people for dinner while attending a conference. Didn't realize that The Peabody was on the campus of John's Hopkins Children's Hospital so this was a nice surprise. The place was pretty quiet during the time we were there. The library like setting with two stories of shelved books was very interesting. The food was great from shared appetizers to main courses, everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. Our wait staff was attentive, patient and very helpful as she answered numerous questions about the menu. I would assume The Peabody is normally packed during lunch time so it's hard to judge the noise level when there were only a few tables dining during our visit.
A beautiful space
Great staff and food.
Great service and food. The cocktails were unique and delicious. It’s a beautiful atmosphere for everyday or a professional meeting. You can’t go wrong here.
Beautiful space. Great light food. Awesome service. Really loved taking my family to go brunch here.
Wonderful menu, great atmosphere and friendly staff. My only critique is the prices. It’s on the expensive side. overall experience was excellent
It was really very average but quite expensive for what it is. Cool concept but not as interesting as oxford exchange.
The Peabody was everything we expected and then some! The food was absolutely amazing and the design of the space is really breathtaking. The service was outstanding and our waiters recommendations were on point.
We went for dinner and had a wonderful time, but we definitely can't wait to come back to check out the breakfast menu!
The Peabody is a very welcome addition to the St Pete area. The design is beautiful and it creates such a lovely atmosphere. It’s feels upscale but is very comfortable. The food is delicious and the service is impeccable.
My only problem was the noise level made conversation difficult.
I have eaten at the Peabody twice. Obviously, I liked it enough to come back and can’t wait to try their brunch on a weekend too. I highly recommend the build your own salad - pairing arugula and mixed greens with hickory smoked salmon and topping off with goat cheese and tomatoes. It’s a little pricey for me to make it a weekly lunch or dinner place ($18 for this salad) , which is comparable to Beach Dr restaurants, but I love the location (I teach yoga, meditation and mindfulness at All Children’s Hospital), the ambience is creative and elegant and the service was excellent. My friend had the Mahi tacos which she said were very good too. So grateful to have this gem in St Pete! I know you’ll do well!
Excellent meal in a visually interesting place. Our server was friendly and attentive in all the right ways. Love the blue books throughout, very creative. It's our new spot and we've been twice in a week.
They are still working out kinks with hostess (seating), wait staff & some food items. We were sat next to a large party when the rest of the restaurant was empty. The waitress was a little pushy and distracted, not giving us her full attention. The black bean burger, while good, fell apart. I'm excited to have such a beautiful spot in St Pete and will be patient with the progress.
The food was fantastic and the service was PERFECT. Our server (I wish I remembered her name) was SO friendly and had great recommendations. She was super helpful with our one year old.
I really enjoyed this spot. I will be back. Can’t wait to try out brunch! Cute decor and great food.
This place was incredible. From the food, to the service. It left not a single thing to be desired.
Can't wait to go back!
Especially loving the ambiance, location and make your own salads.
Great experience, and Violet was fantastic! Love this new elegant dining option in St. Petersburg.
The portions were very small for the price. The sandwich was very greasy on the outside of the bread, so I just ate the inside. The dessert was very good and do not serve hot tea just cold. I was expecting more from this restaurant I hopefully they will improve soon. We were there early for reservation and was surprised to see many empty tables. I had tried for earlier reservation but was told there were no tables available.
I was anxious to try this new hot spot in St. Pete. I wasn't sure whether the food would live up to the hype (or the prices) but I was pleasantly surprised. I ordered salmon and it was cooked perfectly with a perfect level of char from grilling on the top. The goat cheese was fresh on the menu. We saw desserts come out and those looked incredible as well' will try to save room next time. The coffee was delicious. I will be back for sure. And I will make a point to try breakfast as well.
