This place always disappoints. Tried to give it another shot but it hasn't changed. Poor service mediocre food.
This place is a great little spot to bring your dog! They offer some items on the menu specifically for your pup, plus they have great treats that they give out for free! It's a very friendly atmosphere with great happy hour menu. I highly recommend.
Enjoyed our evening at The Patio, drinks and food was excellent and service was excellent too!
The service was awful. We saw our waitress at no time during our meal. We didn't feel as though she was very genuine nor attentive. Would not go here again.
Always a treat!
Thank you Jamie for your excellent service and suggestions.
The margaritas were excellent. The Bloody became a "best one ever" for my sidekick. :-)
Can't wait to come back.
Valet parking was nice touch. Had reservation but after sitting at bar waiting for table for over 20 minutes decided to eat at bar.
Bartenders were excellent.
Made reservations here for my birthday and was EXTREMELY disappointed with my experience. I don't recommend coming here unless you want to be insulted by staff members or have about 4 hours to kill. Terrible service.
Excellent Sunday brunch! Chiliquili was delicious. Always good food and service.
The Patio is usually one of our favorite restaurants, but we had an unfortunate dining experience with the server Matty. He was incredibly rude - walking away from our table before we were even done speaking, getting visibly annoyed when I asked 2 questions about the menu, then he forgot to put in our entire order neglected to check on us so that we could get the missing appetizer or order more drinks. I've always had positive experiences in the past, but we were so insulted by Matty's attitude and lack of service that we are hesitatant to return.
Fantastic program running here. A well oiled machine with incredible eats and friendly smiles.
A 5-Star * Dining Experience. Fabulous food and great service. Everything was Superb! Wonderful. A 5 Star Dinner.
Very accommodating for the four of us and our dog. Food good and sale was nice on a Monday night.
Reliable, friendly neighborhood spot. Excellent drinks and good beer selection. Interesting small plates and very good mains. Both indoor and outdoor seating.
Great food and service. Too many dogs in the restaurant. Kind of off-putting. They were not service dogs - just pets.
Great space. We didn't take our dog but uber dog friendly!
Love the atmosphere here. Service was a little slow on Saturday night.
The atmosphere was cool but overall it was not a stand out experience. We had specified a birthday occasion when we booked online. It became apparent that we needed to drop a reminder. I went with the drink recommendation and was disappointed. When I mentioned it was not what i was expecting the server shrugged her shoulders. She did offer to put it on ice. It was just okay. Perhaps my expectations were a bit high as i had heard such good things about the Mission Hills location. Not terrible but better experiences to be had.
Nice ambiance, good wine, delicious food. We has Spanish Octopus and Persimmon and Gorgonzola Flatbread (they were out of persimmon, so substituted pear, still good). The heated patio is very nice.
Consistently great experience for two- and four-legged friends.
Very quaint, but MANY MANY dogs. I don't dislike dogs, but cannot understand why they need to come along to dinner. Waiter mixed up the drink order, so comped a glass of wine (NICE!).
We usually really enjoy this restaurant the atmosphere is fun and it's kind a quaint. Service was a little slow and food was underwhelming this visit. We had the black and blue flat bread which was disappointing But the brussels sprouts were fabulous!
This was our 3rd try for The Patio on Lamont. We were disappointed again in the food. The service is great. Our server was professional and attentive. But, the server cannot make the food enjoyable. We had a salad and the shrimp and grits. The grits were terrible. Overall the menu selection is limited. There was only 1 fish to select from, salmon, and because it isn't salmon season we figured it must be frozen so we didn't choose the fish option. The food here just isn't good. It's meh at best. We have tried the restaurant more than once because this should be a great neighborhood option but it isn't. It's too pricey for what you get.
While we have not enjoyed our meals here, it seems to be a popular place so others must enjoy it. Try it for yourself.
Terrific service! Marina, our server, was perfect!
I visited this restaurant after seeing excellent reviews. The food was delicious and we had very pleasant and efficient service. It was a gray, blustery day and we found the open air quality of the downstairs rather cold. They were able to move us upstairs to a nice table in a much warmer room.
Nice menu for restaurant week. The crispy artichokes were a hit with our group. Had out of town guests and they were impressed with the food and atmosphere.
Great food Steak prepared perfectly. Dessert was too rich.
Great server!! The man from albania was awesome!!!!!
Consistently great food and ambience that all two- and four-legged customers enjoy!
Great place to go on a date. Indoor and outdoor seating. Awesome foods and excellent service.
Good as always. The upper room on the street side is really noisy.
Haven't been to a place as dog-friendly as this one! Bring your fur pup and get a discount off certain drinks. Most brunch items are delicious here.
Really yummy brunch options. And they have a killer bloody mary. Not the best coffee, but it works!
I came for dinner on New Year's Eve with my boyfriend and we had such a delicious meal. The food is absolutely outstanding and the ambience is very cosy and lovely. Our server was very attentive and the manager made sure we were all warm enough on a chilly night. The experience definitely made me want to come back again. I had the jidoori chicken and my boyfriend the burger, both very good. I had a mule cocktail that was great and for dessert we had the twisted Elvis which was amazing!
We had never been to the Patio but it was an enjoyable experience. I loved the environment and ambiance, just walking through the actual restaurant itself was a pleasant event. Drinks were fantastic as was our food, my spicy "Piñata" margarita and "Roasted Jidori Chicken" tasted great. Would love to return sometime soon!
My only critique would be of the service. When we arrived, our server's section was filled with people, and as I work in the restaurant industry I knew it might take him a little bit longer to get over to our table. However, it took him much longer to initially great our table than I had anticipated. I know how easy it is to fall behind as a server when you have many other tables/guests to take care of, but even sending over a server assistant, who was present, would have made the service more enjoyable. Not ususally one to complain about service, but the ammount of time we waited to even be greeted was a bit ridiculous.
Other than that it was a wonderful experience and I do plan to dine here again, hopefully sometime soon. Thank you!
The food was excellent!
We had an amazing meal at The Patio. The place a louder than I like my restaurants, but it was one large party nearby. (You can't blame them, they were just having the best of times!). The server was attentive and knowledgeable. We started with the Soup of the Day; which was tomato, and it was delicious. My husband had the spaghetti and I had the short rib. The spaghetti was delicious, noodles cooked a perfect al dente. And the short rib... it was the best cooked piece of meat I've had in a long time. So tender it pulled apart easily with my fork and perfectly seasoned. It was served with a leek risotto, which I will dream about until I go back, and some delicious carrots. The dessert really set us over the top - the pumpkin bread pudding. It was the perfect texture and sweetness. Even my husband loved it! We don't live in San Diego, but when we come back to town we will definitely visit The Patio.
Amazing Christmas Eve dinner for our family. Cocktails, appetizers, entrees were absolutely delicious. Service was top drawer. Valet parking is a must in this crowded residential area of Pacific Beach.
The service was good and unobtrusive. The food was excellent, a warm and inviting setting get.
Service and food were both great! Sat on the patio and enjoyed the ambiance and fire place.
The four of us sat for hours and ate and drank. The food is fantastic the staff and the bartenders are wonderful. They are super sweet to the family dog. I can't say enough! Try the spaghetti Bolognese and the charcuterie, it's to die for!
