Disappointed with our dinner experience at this restaurant. Despite having a reservation, we were informed they were short-staffed and couldn't take orders. The saving grace was the delicious cocktails. However, better communication about the staffing issue would have saved us time. This place has great potential due to its location but is let down by poor management.

Good service and delicious food, albeit we waited quite a while for the food to arrive. The toilets, however were poorly maintained and not clean.

I booked The Patio in an attempt to branch out from the usual pre-theatre Italian restaurant offerings, and the Menu on the website certainly promised some tasty African flavours in a modern setting. Sadly the entire experience was extremely disappointing and we did not even get the chance to sample the food since the service was so poor. We ordered Jerk Chicken, a signature Nigerian dish - it took 15 minutes for the waiter to relay to us the news that there was no jerk chicken available. We ordered the lamb ribs, and it took another 15 minutes for the waiter to come back to us with the news that they did not have the lamb available. We were told that their stock had been finished during a busy Sunday service, but given that the restaurant is literally in Smithfield market, it beggars belief that they had not restocked since then (we were there on Wednesday). Massive disappointing!

I think the Patio has the potential to be a great venue. I went there yesterday with my fiancée. I called the restaurant numerous times on route to let them know we were running late but there was no answer. When we arrived, the place was empty so not sure why the call wasn't answered. The table we sat at was dirty and needed cleaning (thankfully this was done). It also wasn't clear from the website that main meals aren't served until after 4.00 pm (only light bites before then). In addition, the website has 2 different sets of closing times on it (which is confusing to potential customers). The food was good though and we enjoyed it. I think its a good vision to have Afro fusion cuisine but the minor points above were a slight letdown. If they're addressed, I think the Patio will be a GREAT place for its customers.

Beautiful venue definitely a lot if potential to rent out for events etc. More than half the menu they didn't have the items. Service was good.. staff were friendly and attentive

Amazing place in a great location, my second time coming to this restaurant and again the food was outstanding (Pepper Soup, Jollof), the staff were attentive and looked after us. Good Vibes and Good People.

Pure amazing vibes. The waiter was so kind and helpful, the food was incredible and the music? Amazing! The drinks were also great. As the venue had recently opened, the waiter kindly gave us a tour of the facilities, which was lovely. Perfect experience, thank you!
