The Pastaria & Market was opened in 1995 as a retail pasta shop and deli. Donna grew up within a family of Italian immigrants, and she began her culinary path inspired by her food-obsessed family and her chef grandfather. After some extended classes at the San Francisco Culinary Academy, she gained the conﬁdence to open The Pastaria & Market on Main St in Los Gatos, a retail pasta shop specializing in fresh Italian food. After several months of strong support from the greater community, Donna could sense that changes would become. Her customers challenged her to prepare meals for takeout, asking her to put tables in so they could eat there After 10 months, she relented and a beer and wine license was added, and the fresh pasta shop was transformed into a full-service restaurant. Over the next 2 decades, The Pastaria & Market established itself as a family-run, neighbourhood-focused, family-friendly business, with a strong commitment to the Los Gatos community.

Great server….the first time in a very long time when the server was time conscientious and spaced out the meal/ordering. We enjoyed the entire experience. Glad to see the chicken parmigiana made it over from the original location.

It was great! We had a lovely experience. The food is always outstanding. This is the first time we went since they moved to the larger location. Their other place was quite small, and we used to walk there, always loved it. Hoping they bring lasagna back to the menu, soon. It was my boyfriends favorite at the other location, and he couldn't have it last night. It was OK though, because the food we had was outstanding!

We love the Pastaria! Always a great place to go for good food in the neighborhood. They are friendly and the ambience relaxed but still sophisticated . I have been here many times and have yet to be disappointed. The food is always great!

They were very accommodating for our party of 8 with my 93 yo father, moving us indoors as it was 90 degrees outside. Great service. Delicious fresh pastas (a seafood pasta, a bolognese, primavera and primadonna). The 2 salads were also so fresh (Kale and the mixed greens). The best starter were the lamb lollipops with a bit of a spicy kick. Wine selection was fine with 2 nice roses and the F-rozes was refreshing. A really nice find in Los Gatos on a charming street.

Mediocre food (over-salted). Staff better suited to a mall gig or perhaps amusement park summer job. New location feels more like a sports bar than a restaurant. Sorry to say that after many years of enjoying the previous location, it's the end of an era.

Food was great, inspite of being out of what I initially wanted to order. It took a while to be served after ordering but they were very busy. Portions are huge and I took half of mine home. Pasta is fresh and cooked perfectly.
