The food is absolutely DELICIOUS. Waitstaff are courteous and helpful. This is the second time we’ve dined there. If you go early evening, like before a play, it’s easy to get a table.

Superb! Just everything about this experience was amazing! The Mousskka and the steak Souvlaki we had was outstanding. Great atmosphere and top quality Service with a smile and super efficient. Wish we had found this sooner and not on our last day. Best food I had in SF and about the least expensive too!

We were blown away by how great the food was. Even the pita was delicious and so fresh. We had chicken kabobs and Moussaka. The Moussaka, in particular, was out of this world.

This menu was perfect for lunch, offering pita sandwiches, gyros, salads, and lighter fare. Can't wait to return for dinner to try the entrees. The server welcomed us graciously, was professional and seemed to really care that we were having a great experience. The owner also welcomed us and told us a bit about his background and also really cared that we liked the food!

We were at Parthenon on a weeknight, which probably explains why it was so quiet. Every dish our group had was very good - I had the pomegranate souvlaki, and the lamb was cooked perfectly. Great combination of flavors. The service was excellent. Will definitely dine there again.

Walked down from the Olympic Club for a solo dinner before heading home the following morning. Welcomed immediately and offered a table, but chose the bar since I was solo. Had a Mojito with some pita and spicy dip to start and followed up with the Fried Smelt (excellent) and Lamb Souvlaki for the main course. Portions more than adequate and a pleasant meal.

The dishes on offer are delicious, especially the beef souvlaki. For dessert, the baklava is a very good choice.

The wait staff was obviously understaffed, but the service they offered was kind as they were juggling patrons. We were served our appetizers and drinks promptly, and our server was very mindful of my friend's first time eating greek food and offered a sampler platter while we were looking over the appetizers. The drinks were strong and delicious, and every serving on the sampler platter was delicious. The portions were fair and not too filling for the three of us, and we were brought two rounds of pita, which tasted fresh with a very wonderful sauce. The keftedes was authentic and prepared very well. The green beans in particular had a very unique blend of spices with a prominent nutmeg note, which was a fun treat. The entrees did not take too long to come either, we were waiting about 5 or 10 minutes after finishing our apps before our food came. Our water was kept full. The manti my friend ordered was a little bland, the yogurt soup base didn't have as much bite or herbaceous notes as we would've liked, and the dough holding the meat was a little mushy, and the meat filling itself did seem lacking some flavor. She finished her plate very quickly, the portion seemed a little small. My friend really liked her burger, the cook level was medium as requested, and the tzatziki sauce was served on the side as requested. My lamb chops were delish and prepared well, cooked medium as requested, and while lacking some seasoning, I thought the meat flavors shined well on their own. The fries are a great cut and not too greasy, very consistent texture and seasoned well. For 3 drinks, 3 entrees, a sample platter and 1 app, we paid $200 plus tip, which is a hard sell with inconsistent service (understaffed) and only 2/3 satisfied after our meals. I wouldn't return here but it was a cozy and intimate environment, a fun treat in the city for one go around!

Excellent Greek food, reasonably priced for SF & fabulous service. The octopus was cooked perfectly, the pita was soft & fluffy & the lamb was delicious. If you love an espresso martini - theirs is wonderful.
