Our lovely open-plan restaurant has traditional oak-beams and contemporary furnishings with a harmonious and relaxing ambience. The perfect setting for you to enjoy a romantic dinner, family celebration or night out with friends.
Our Head Chef and his brigade are passionate about food. Every dish on the frequently changing menu is freshly prepared from the finest ingredients – locally sourced wherever possible.
Norfolk is rich in great produce and our kitchen’s philosophy is based on seasonality, provenance and flavour. Game, fish, meat and vegetables are chosen with care daily. We have a close relationship with the finest suppliers in the county and they know that we insist on buying the best. We don’t do run-of-the-mill at The Parson but we do believe in offering great food cooked with passion and flair.
Special dietary requirements are all happily catered for. Please advise when making your reservation.

    We were recommended to The Parson by a friend and we are very glad we went. The food was delicious, fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The dining room has a lovely ambience, a perfect country pub, light and cosy. We shall definitely be going back to work our way through the menu and thoroughly recommend it.

    We've eaten here several times. The fish pie is our go to meal but on this occasion it disappointed as it was quite dry. The gammon was very nice and reasonable value. They do not currently have a 5 star food hygiene rating, which is concerning but we usually enjoy our meals here and it does not put us off from returning. Hopefully this will change soon. Service was good. The crab thermidor lunchtime special was also lovely.

    Would normally give this restaurant 5* but disappointing last visit as the lamb dish I ordered was supposed to come with lyonnaise potatoes. But it was just served with sliced, boiled new potatoes and the peas were hard. If it had been my first visit it would have been my last.

    Ambience nice as always in a lovely decorated traditional pub atmosphere, and service was good, but unfortunately the food was not as good as it has been in the past -perhaps it was a different chef on?

    Excellent food and great service, we were all very satisfied with our meals. The restaurant is quieter and more spacious than the bar, which worked for us as we wanted to chat with our friends. Tables are a bit smaller and more cramped in the bar. The staff accommodated all the dietary requirements in our party, always checking and making modifications as needed. And always with a smile!

    Service was very slow for a quiet Friday night. No avocado with my main course, so had to ask. We had to go and ask for drinks and again for the bill to be paid. Food was delicious as always.

    Great food as normal, very friendly staff who go out their way to accommodate your wishes. First class service , food served all together and very timely. Already booked to go back .

    We met some friends and as we had been there before and had a good experience we had decided to go again. There was 4 of us and had a mixture from the menu of the day and from the larger choice menue. All excellently presented and equalled by the taste. Overall very good and we would recommend.
